Do I need an activated AP to buy a DDE card? I was not going to activate my AP until I got on property in May, just in case I am back next spring.

Thanks
Alena

You can purchase the DDE as long as you have the voucher.

If you purchase the DDE before your trip you will need to fax or send the DDE form which will require your AP number. But, as YCFAN said as long as you have your voucher that should be ok I'd think as you would just enter that number on the application.

Keep in mind that the DDE card expires one year from the time it's issued so if you submit your form this month it will most likely expire the end of March 2007. I'm going to submit mine in about 2 weeks, so I'm curious to see if it will have a March or April expiration.

I believe if you call the DDE number, you can sign up with out actually filling out the form and mailing or faxing.... I know when I did mine in November, I just called and gave them the info on the phone - it was quick and easy.

I purchased a DDE card with an AP voucher about three weeks ago. You just read them the numbers across the top and you're all set. I was told if I don't receive my DDE card two days before we leave to call and they'll issue a temp. card to be picked up at Epcot. They are closed on weekends but you can still pick up a temp. card on the weekend. Very easy and saving some $$$$ - always nice! :teeth:
