We are leaving December 9th for our next trip, if I order DDE today, do you think it will arrive in time? That's 5 weeks, I've just lost track of time for this trip and forgot about ordering it. We had one about 2 years ago and we got it in under 2 weeks but I don't know if the program has become more popular or I just got lucky or what.

And I'm having a hard time deciding if it is worth it for us this year. We are AP holders but we usually go during 'free dining' time and do the package w/ 1 day tickets. This December trip we are not on DDP and will probably only be eating 1 TS meal, rest CS (going for 4 days) but we plan on giong again in the spring and will maybe have more TS then and might take the kids (add in a few hundred Charector meals, lol). The way I'm figuring it the card is $65, average buffett TS for us 2 would run about $60. So if we eat at 6 TS resturants in a year we have 'made' the $65 back, right? And everything on top of that is savings, right? And since we will be going back three times until the card expires we should definately get our $65 worth. We always eat 'on property' so I need to get it. I think i just answered my own question! :goodvibes

One more question: I think I read you can use the card at the lounges/bars and get discounts as well, is that correct?

Thanks

You should call the DDE phone number. It has been posted on here that DDE cards will be available for purchase for AP holders right at guest relations starting Nov. 12(?). I would call and find out for sure. When I ordered mine in May it arrived 2 weeks later. It was so worth it.:thumbsup2 Even for our 6 night stay in June we saved over $100 and now we're going back for a quick trip in January so I can save even more. :yay:

Order it as close to your date as possible. You can pick up a temporary card at Guest Services at Epcot. That's what we did in June and I now have a card that is good through July 2008. Of course, if it really is changing, I would just wait until you arrive.

I just ordered mine and they said it's running about 2-3 weeks now to get them delivered. I wouldn't wait much longer before ordering. I asked if I could get a temporary card if it didn't arrive before we left for our trip and they said to call if we haven't received it before we leave and they will have a temporary one available for us. They also said it won't expire until the end of December '08- so you can get almost an extra two months if you order now.
