DDE parking?

I just ordered my DDE card yesterday afternoon. No hold time and nice CM! I forgot to ask about parking. I thought I read somewhere that valet parking was free if you showed your DDE card and receipt from your meal. Am I just dreaming this? (maybe just wishful thinking?)

Yes, valet parking is free with the DDE card. You don't have to pay the fee, but the tip to the parking CM is not included.

Yes, valet parking is complimentary at the WDW resorts for DDE. I simply showed my DDE letter (no card at the time) at the valet desk. You can also ask the valet desk to break larger bills so that you can have money for a tip.

It's amazing how easy it is to get free valet parking with this card. I know this is technically "not within the rules", but during our May trip, we valet parked at both the Boardwalk and Contemporary a few evenings and strolled over to Epcot and MK and then back out to our car at the end of the evening, showed the valet attendant our DDE card, and he just called up the valet parking attendants to get our car and didn't charge us anything. Of course, I always tip the valets well, but I was thrilled to find out this actually worked. I never had to show a receipt or anything (I usually had one from a sit-down meal in the parks or resorts every evening, but they never asked).
