DDE card and drinks

Can you still get the discount if you just pick up a beer at a participating restaurant, or a wine? I did not know if you can only get the discount if you are having a sit down meal. Thinking of trying the 'drinking around the world' but wasn't sure if I could use the DDE for some of the places. TIA.

We often stop in the lounges just for a drink and yes you still get the discount.

using the ddp in sept and want to know how much of a discount do you get?

You do not get a DDE discount if you are using the DDP. If you want to get the DDE card and use it just on alcohol or any snacks you buy that are not on the DDP, well, you have to decide if it is worth the price of the card (I think it is $75 now, but I am not sure) to get the 20% off these misc. things.

We had the dining plan last year (free) and used the DDE for drinks and extras. On that trip alone we saved just under $60.00 (a few cents short) which at the time was the cost of the card. I have since used it on 3 more trips with 1 to come, so it definitely is worth the cost.
