Had quite a interesting time at WDW this trip. We got evacuated off 2 rides, 1st was Big Thunder we got stuck going up the hill near the goats, we got to walk down the steps and into the underneath passage ways of the ride, This was like a extra tour for us , we thought this was great. The next day we got stuck on The Kali River Rapids, we had to wait for Reedy Creek FD to get us off, once again this was something we thought was cool. So now I have a new chapter for my little notebook.

Still haven't had to evacuate from a ride. Funny most people would hate for that to happen but go enough and it would be something to look forward to....in the right circumstances.

Spent the morning going out to breakfast (so good) and running errands. Nice day today here so I would have rather been outside reading a book.

Just found out that I get to make this a short week. One of the local hotels asked me to curl with them on Friday in the local chamber of commerce bonspiel. That's a Friday out of the office with free booze and a son that has his driver's license.

That will work and happy curling. You any good?

Can't imagine how you can compete at a high level sport like curling while consuming alcohol. It's not like the teams in the Olympics were drinking beer, or were they ......

Pretty sure I saw a picture of the husband of one of the female curlers standing a couple of feet off the rink. He had a beer in each hand.

That is too cool. Never got evacuated but did get stopped on DL ToT. They turned the lights on and we were able to look around for about 15 minutes.

Also, congratulations on your DS more sophisticated taste buds. More expensive yes, but it does expand his horizons.

Got stuck on a ride once a Beach Bend park here in KY. No fire department called, but had to sit on ride an extra 5 minutes while they did some safety release.

There has been some talk over in the Facebook clubhouse about a custom DISDad Hawaiian shirt. It would have Bacon, Dole Whips, Mickey bars and Kraken rum on it, or so the talk goes. It is looking like the cost would be around $50.00 usd. For you Dads who are not on Facebook, are you interested? If you are, I will make sure to post the info here.

Still haven't had to evacuate from a ride. Funny most people would hate for that to happen but go enough and it would be something to look forward to....in the right circumstances.

A couple years ago, the wife and I got evacuated from the Many Adventures of Pooh, on our first ride of a trip without the kaleidokids. It was right where you run into Tigger, and we sat there stopped for like 10 minutes while Tigger bounced endlessly in front of us. Then we were escorted out through all the turns of the ride and given paper Fastpasses good for any attraction. It was actually pretty cool, and we still laugh whenever we get to that spot in the ride.

In honor of National Grilled Cheese day. Tomato, Mozzarella and Basil.

I was at one time but I only curl about once a year now. Although this is the 3rd year they have asked me to play for them because I look like an Olympic medallist next to them.

A couple years ago, the wife and I got evacuated from the Many Adventures of Pooh, on our first ride of a trip without the kaleidokids. It was right where you run into Tigger, and we sat there stopped for like 10 minutes while Tigger bounced endlessly in front of us. Then we were escorted out through all the turns of the ride and given paper Fastpasses good for any attraction. I have nightmares of that ride. Just after it opened a couple of families joined us at WDW. I volunteered to take all the kids with me. We also stalled at Tigger. While Tigger is bouncing away, one kid is sobbing, the other kids are goofing around and the adults in the car behind me were laughing their butts off. Didn't get evacuated but it took forever for them to get the ride moving again. To this day, when the kid and I walk by the ride, we look at each other and ask, "Remember when we got stuck on Pooh?"
