DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
I like Tuesdays better than Mondays. Rain today and may get up to 50 later in the afternoon. Should get some more melting in before the temps drop back to the teens overnight. Can only hope that spring will hit soon.

Well done kids!:thumbsup2

Oh, I didn't realize you were staying at BCV.... maybe our meet might happen after all. We are staying there for the 2nd part of our trip.

Congratulations!!!!! WOOO HOOOO!!!!!

We had a few flurries here yesterday. I wonder how long the snow will stick around here. :confused3

While I do love many of the new features, I do find it harder to read and I do miss some of the old functions .

Actually we are staying at the YC this time. DW has wanted to stay there for a couple of years now. We have friends in town that are there every year. Would love to find time to meet up. WE'll have to coordinate as it gets closer.

The snow here will be around into April easy, especially with another cold week in the forecast next week. It's definitely melting, but we still have 4-5 feet of pack hanging around.

I don't always see a movie on it's opening weekend, but when I do, It's the Most Awesome of all the Disney Princess!

:thumbsup2

The kids are on March Break here. I've been working from home for a week and a half. I go back in the office Wednesday. I was thinking of taking them to see it tomorrow evening. I hear it's getting rave reviews.

How would you compare it to Malificent? As the retelling of classic stories go?

We thought it was better than Malificent. They did a great job adapting it to live action. Where Malificent was a new story, the challenge here was to add more detail, but keep it true to the story. Well done on all fronts.

Little trick Jodi told me about. Some times it's hard to load My Disney Experience while in the park, so take a screen shot and all you have to do is look at your pictures. I'm going to make them my wallpaper for each day.

Great idea! And good line up as well.

Congrats on the new snow record? :crazy2: Bought youngest dds new soccer cleats - size 9 1/2 at age 10.

DD is in 9 1/2 as well. DS is in a 14. We have been buying shoes every 6 months as they both grow out of them so quickly. :sad2: The only thing saving us is that I have good friends at both Adidas and Reebok so we get shoes at cost most of the time.

Just read that Tebow had a workout with the Eagles. Did they just solve QB issues? Tee and then a Hee.

Congrats on the kids' success and glad your son's knee is better.

Double congratulations on the new snow record, I knew Boston could do it.

They were reporting on ESPN that Tebow learned how to throw a football. :rotfl2::rotfl2: We'll see. I'm not sure who this kid knows, but the fact that he can still find someone to pay him is amazing. Great college player, skills not attuned to the pro game.

Well done. As for hobbies, there is always the grand kids

What.....Who?!? Never mention grandkids to a parent with young daughters. :faint::faint:

'Morning all...
Early to the party today.
Much better then being drowned by issues as soon as I get to my desk.

That's a whole lot of physical activity there.
Congrats on all the accomplishments and may they continue to grow and strengthen those skils.

Best feature pool on property. Would love to stay around there again at some point.

So everyone in the dance other thne Kentucky?

So it was better then Walt's version or is the story greatly different?

March break...
No wonder we haven't hear from you in a while.
We were about to consider giving control of the universe to someone else.
Hope y'all had a blast (and that you even got some work done).

Nice trick.
Clever.

Oh, we'll be needin' pictures of that encounter sir.
Jasmin is our club's most sacred princess and second only to Goofy in illustrating the high ideals and aspirations of the group.

I don't see them having much trouble taking that one more tournament this time around.
I'd certainly be very surprised if they don't
I have the wife going through the picture albums today.

Sounds like a plan.

We have 1-2 feet on the ground now after lots of melting last week. Looks like we might get some snow Friday... the winter that won't end.

Same story, just more fleshed out!
But were there penguins?

8 more days until we get to the World again. Or as it's known ... the slowest week ever.
Your trip came quick. Enjoy your time in the World. (gotta be nice to the nemesis every once in a while)

Well, if they lose, there will be a lot of KY real estate for sale due to the massive # of heart attacks. I like being a fan, but some of these people are just nuts. Calapari's was criticized by many UK fans for losing 3 games the year they won the championship, but it later was forgiven. :crazy2:

Any chance at an early shoe deal? :lmao:

. :faint::faint:

But, too put in perspective, Denver went one game further with Manning as the QB instead of Tebow? And, Tebow and Manning have the same # of championships as Denver QBs.

I think it's obvious that Chip Kelly is just trolling us now.
!

If he wins, it is genius. If he loses, ....., well, let's just hope he has a good life insurance policy with all those crazy Eagles fans.

Have a great trip. Driving or flying this time?

So what your saying is that Manning just isn't that good?:confused3

Happy morning after St Pattys Day! No green beer out here like at DaWorld last year but cold beer none the less. Congrats to all with trips coming around the corner to DaWorld. Yesterday was our first park day here as we headed to the Laguna Brach on Monday and then hung out at the pool. To answer a couple of the questions posted about DaLand
Castle is definitely tiny compared to the Cindarella's but hey it was built in the 50's. All the construction stuff is down so all good.
DVC rooms at GF are same type of layouts as rooms at WDW - both 1 bedroom and regular suite
Only second trip here but crowds are so much more manageable and not having to bus or boat to anything is great in my opinion.

Will post some info on differences when back in town. Heading to Hollywood today for the tourist stuff there and then hoping to get to Burbank to see Disney Studios for DS.

Happy Hump Day Guys!

Guess what? It snowed here again last night and today is another day of school closures, second one this week.
