Beer torn apart? Now that is truly sad.
Happy Birthday to your Dad!Next weekend is opening soccer game for youngest dd and spring dance performance for oldest dd. So, we drove up to Louisville to surprise my dad a week early for his 82nd birthday. We had a good trip.

Well okay, the section was pretty ransacked, although lots of six and four packs had one or two cans torn off.![]()
Happy Birthday to your Dad!
For ToT I would need to take DD6 out the Friday before fall break (if DD wants to do the 5k, we are doing a glow run 5k next month so that will prob help decide)Marathon weekend the Friday after coming back from Winter break and Avengers I'm assuming also the Friday mainly all for packet pickup. Is it wrong to think of pulling a child out of school for a Disney trip?
Hey Philip. We don't take our dds out of school. But, it not because I think it is bad, but because I don't want to deal with the hassle from the school. Besides, one or two days isn't anything. While there is no chance of me running, I will be there this October along with several other DisDads who are will be.
Hey Norm! , I def wouldn't take DD out for more the a day here there, kindof stinks that they are right around her fall and Winter breaks.I figured a day over a few months. I know it would take a miracle to get you to run so I won't waste the training time lol, looks like James and Matt are registered.so y'all are going to be there that weekend?I'm pretty close to swayed, the ToT 10 miler is the one I've been thinking about doing so I may register today.
Done!
Voted.
Morning Guys! Taxes done.Getting almost double back than I thought.
Adjusted the % last year, but some other things changed and it looks like I didn't adjust for that. Looks like I have some extra vacation money now.

Afternoon Guys,
DS's basketball season has come to an end. They lost both games today unfortunately. They had their chances in both games but one bad quarter or one great quarter by the opponents dine them in both times. Good and bad for DS today; he was player of the game for his team in the first game but rolled his ankle with about 2 minutes left in the second game. I have to give him credit, he tried to wave off the sub but the coach decided he did his share today and took him out. Probably a good thing as he had a bit of trouble walking after.
Even after I voted for you?![]()
Double secret probation. Is she keeping a secret from you?
Yes, we arrive that Sat, October 4. We are booked at the BWV.
Back before Christmas, FIL announced he wanted to pay and take his family - kids, spouses, grand kids - on vacation in Summer 2015. He asked my DW and her brother (my infamous BIL) to pick a vacation destination. We suggested Disney, Universal/Sea World, or Beach/Cruise. SIL pouted and didn't want any of those places because DW suggested them. Oh yeah, the dysfunction runs deep.
So, my FIL calls yesterday and just says we are all going to WDW and asks me to get some prices. Immediately, SIL has decided her youngest child (infant) won't be going on vacation with everyone because he would be too young to enjoy it. So, we'll see whether or not the manipulation tactic will work.
BIL is a family of 6 (with infant), so I thought about AoA, POR, or a GV. Then, I thought about each family having their own cabin at Fort Wilderness, as each sleeps 6. I'll discuss some options with FIL, but the prices are all fairly close together.
Good morning fellow dads, I know I have been absent a lot from the boards, hope everyone is doing well, I have a question, I have been getting more and more active in running and exercise and plan on doing the Coast to Coast RunDisney races next year with Marathon Weekend 2015 and Avengers Half 2015 but since those are not until next year I've been thinking of also doing the ToT 10 miler this year, my question is about pulling kids from school to go to Disney, do many of my fellow dads do this?

This sometimes is a touchy subject here on the DisBoards. But in my opinion, elementary school-aged children should not pose any problems with pulling out of school a few days for a trip to The World. Once they get in middle school/junior high, it becomes a lot more difficult to make up the work.
Take care of that ankle I rolled mine playing volleyball and it has bothered me off and on since.
