Morning guys. I would like to ask for some good vibes. It looks like we may get our travel dates next week. We have an idea now, but we can't do anything until a judge 4,000+ miles from here signs the last piece of paper. We just really want to get over there before one of the girls has her next birthday. On the plus side I learned I will be staying three weeks instead of two. This means my wife will not be alone at any part of the trip!

Morning guys. I would like to ask for some good vibes. It looks like we may get our travel dates next week. We have an idea now, but we can't do anything until a judge 4,000+ miles from here signs the last piece of paper. We just really want to get over there before one of the girls has her next birthday. On the plus side I learned I will be staying three weeks instead of two. This means my wife will not be alone at any part of the trip!

Prayers that the judge over there gets the pen out and signs.

I got an email 10 minutes before leaving work that one of my grants is being audited. Meh, I'm married, I don't scare. The whole thing is only $30,000 so unless someone is doing something I don't know about with the money, the issue has to be that I didn't spend it quick enough. I knew there would be leftovers since I lost my assistant and the extra just goes back to the funder. Should have let SWMBO spend it, she can spend faster than I can earn.

Leftovers? Leftoverature? Time for some Kansas.

You know... grants are great. But the idea that you HAVE to spend every last penny to avoid an audit on a grant or to keep funding in future budgets seems to just encourage poor decisions. Good luck!

Completely agree on Stormalong as well as location able walk to back entrance of EPCOT and boat ride or even a walk to HS. We are staying at Beachclub in July


If you are just gonna hang at a resort, my vote would be Yacht Club. Plus you could also just walk to have dinner at EPCOT and see Illuminations after hanging by the pool. If you are gonna do MK, Contemporary would get the vote, again, 'cause it is only a 5 minute walk.

Yep. Both Y&B have access to Stormalong Bay. Best pool in the world. One day each trip when I stay there, I grab a table early in the morning and relax all day at the pool. Read, listen to podcasts, have a cocktail or two and occasionally go into the water. Man, I could use that right now.

Yacht Club wins! Just booked the extra day. Now we'll check in on Aug 23 at YC and head over to BLT on the 24th. Just $275 for a night at a deluxe and waterpark admission for 5! (Ok- Stormalong Bay may not be an actual water park, but I'm looking forward to finding out.)

Tried to post this afternoon, phone didn't feel like co-operating.

Saw you guys were set to be slammed. Ouch, hopefully it stayed away. Jim how close are you to it? Just a little bit of flurries here, rain in the forecast tis weekend. Great Lakes are still pretty icy, The Credit River just beside us is still fully frozen over, but it looks like Lake Ontario (at least where we are), is clearing up. It's the cold that is getting under my skin. Been getting more and more irritable, DW thinks the weather is a factor. She also thinks vacation time is in order, but I don't see it in the near future, time and money a big factor. Let's face it, I've had issues since all December went down.

We missed most of the snow but other parts of the Maritimes got nailed with both the snow and wind. We had crazy wind yesterday and this morning. Today is a nice sunny day and the next couple are suppose to be rainy and warm. Sunday - another snow storm.

He'd have noticed Booth coming up from behind if he wasn't too preoccupied with his phone texting.

We missed most of the snow but other parts of the Maritimes got nailed with both the snow and wind. We had crazy wind yesterday and this morning. Today is a nice sunny day and the next couple are suppose to be rainy and warm. Sunday - another snow storm.

We have a colder wind today I noticed but the sun is out and it's supposed to get above the zero mark. Some snow allegedly tonight mixing with rain then just straight rain by tomorrow. Haven't looked past tomorrow, but rain is fine for washing away the winter crap. Good to hear you missed the majority of the bad stuff. Hope the trend continues.

On a happy note, Amelia on Tuesday was part of a tech team that went out to compete in a school- district wide competition. I believe they built simple racers with Legos or something to that effect. Came home with a ribbon, sone small prizes and had a lot if fun. Quite proud of her, she's come a long way for a kid who was struggling to read by grade 2.

We went waited for an hour, saw the. Dr. and we were told that we need to come back in 4 months and get his eyes dilated.... We thought that would be happening then. Oh well at least he looks good in the glasses. That and we didn't have to drop any money on new lenses. So I guess I will call that a win.

DS won a writing contest and gets an award during his Spring Break Pep Rally tomorrow, so I'm taking off for that---and as soon as that's over, he and I are heading to Lake Okeechobee for some fishing. He's on Spring Break next week
