Siri Is Hot and funny...

I don't know if its because Im southern but Siri hardly ever understands what in the Beverly I am asking, which is also pretty much like most of my relationships in the past. But don't ask how I know this but she will tell you the best locations to bury stuff, like bodies.

When ignorance is bliss...

I just received the seedings for the state Junior Bible Quiz competition this weekend and we came up 6th in the state. :crazy2: Depending on how we do in the qualifiers we could end up competing for a spot to the Regional competition. I'm not sure if I really want that though. My kids are half the team and I don't know if I can deal with another month of study and trying to motivate DS while keeping SWMBO and the kids from killing each other. On the other hand, this is the last year for DS and he could go out with a bang. As Doris Day used to sing Que sera, sera...

At least my neighbor is thinking of me, I ended up with 3 bottles of Coors Light, a can of Miller, a bottle of Kentucky Ale, a bottle of Corona, a bottle of Stella Artois, and a bottle of Leinenkugels Sunset Wheat on the stoop this evening. I'm not a fan of light beer, but am a fan of free beer so all is good.

Survived the audit. The grants CPA said it was more simple and straight forward than they anticipated. I simply picked the wrong number of the budget report for the annual report to the funder. "Picked" interesting choice of words. :scratchin They should just label the columns, money you spent, and money you have left for us non-accounting types.

Too bad they don't let you pick the names on the categories on the spread sheet.

Bury the bodies, huh? Remind me not to get on your bad side. :lmao:

A great way to end a day.

Nice little haul there

Did he smell? If so it was probably Barry. :crazy2:

He smelled, but not nearly THAT bad. :faint:

Employer is about to give me a phone. Do I want Android or iphone? I'm not very smart with technology. Help me out.

iPhone. :thumbsup2

Just be thrilled you're getting a phone! My employer usually just gives me the finger.

Waiting for the Florida game to start. Really worried about this game and hope they are able to beat UCLA.

Morning guys. I would like to ask for some good vibes. It looks like we may get our travel dates next week. We have an idea now, but we can't do anything until a judge 4,000+ miles from here signs the last piece of paper. We just really want to get over there before one of the girls has her next birthday. On the plus side I learned I will be staying three weeks instead of two. This means my wife will not be alone at any part of the trip!

Hoping the odyssey ends soon and you are with the kids. You are a better man than I Gunga Din.

Yacht Club wins! Just booked the extra day. Now we'll check in on Aug 23 at YC and head over to BLT on the 24th. Just $275 for a night at a deluxe and waterpark admission for 5! (Ok- Stormalong Bay may not be an actual water park, but I'm looking forward to finding out.)

Good choice and not a bad price either. Save a table for me by the pool.

On a happy note, Amelia on Tuesday was part of a tech team that went out to compete in a school- district wide competition. I believe they built simple racers with Legos or something to that effect. Came home with a ribbon, sone small prizes and had a lot if fun. Quite proud of her, she's come a long way for a kid who was struggling to read by grade 2.

On a side note, it's my Friday today:cool1::cool1::cool1:

DS won a writing contest and gets an award during his Spring Break Pep Rally tomorrow, so I'm taking off for that---and as soon as that's over, he and I are heading to Lake Okeechobee for some fishing. He's on Spring Break next week:beach:

Mommy's not sure what she's going to do with herself:rotfl2:

Good for both of them. Always nice when the kids win.

Thanks for the info guys. DW is rethinking DLR for her 40th and looking at Hawaii or the Bahamas instead.

If you are asking for advice, Hawaii, hands down. The Bahamas are OK but can't compete with the Aloha state. Sure it is more expensive but much more to do and a better overall environment.

I always thought Fed jumped in after the fish, not the other way around... :rolleyes1

And Andy for the tip in. Well played sir.

Iphone, iphone, iphone. But then again all my electronics are Apple products so I drank the Kool-Aid.

Just be thrilled you're getting a phone! My employer usually just gives me the finger.

Is that while he drives by when you are putting more duct tape on that cursed bridge that I have to cross every time I drive to see the kid?

A couple years ago I probably would have said that the iPhone would be the way to go because its interface was more user friendly. At this point I think the two different devices are on equal footing in terms of usability. My MIL has an iPhone and my mom has a Samsung Galaxy. Both people are relatively low on the technophile scale and neither have issues with their phone. I would consider 3 things.

1. As others have mentioned, go to a store to see if either feel better for you or if there is a screen size you like better.

2. Look around your house do you have other apple devices. iPads, iPods, apple tv etc… if so the iPhone may be better for you because of the common interface and the ability to share content across screens. (If you have airplay connected devices that you use a lot too that may also make the case for an iPhone stronger.

3. Are you using a tool on a computer at home to manage your music other than iTunes. If you have a lot of music being managed this way then it might make a stronger case for the samsung.

4. Are there any aftermarket things you are going to want. At this point you can get similar accessories for all the different types of phones, but if there is something you are considering like a Pebble or a Galaxy watch that will also push you to a specific device.

I'd probably lean towards an iPhone, but I don't think you can go wrong with either at this point.

Free beer is always good. I vote for going out with a bang. Then again, I don't have to deal with the volatile household.

I'm not the one making the decision. I'll just be providing some information. I have my 40th birthday trip already picked out.

:rotfl:

... Gunga Din....

Great movie. Sam Jaffe was an actor who often didn't get credit for what he did.

Don't know how to take this one..

If you don't know where the bodies are you can't be expected to testify.

I'm willing to bet twins will provide lots of excitement in your future.

Well we have narrowed down some plans for our ToT 10 miler weekend trip, when I told mom our plans, she asked if she could go, of course I am glad she wanted to.
But as of now, we get in late Thursday so nothing exciting on Thursday, Friday will be Expo and MK day, and possibly MNSSHP if they have it, and hopefully lunch or dinner at BOG. Then Saturday is 5K and planning Kona Cafe for breakfast afterwards, the rest of the day will prob be DTD, hopefully a DisDad meet and then rest for the 10 Miler.

Mom may have to cancel depending on 2 things, if things are not better with my grand parents around that time and If its expected that my brother and SIL may have my niece or nephew around that time. Looking like a Halloween baby right now.

Sounds like a fun weekend. Are you heading home Sunday or are you sticking around WDW for a bit after the race. TOT looks like a fun race weekend. Will you have a costume for MNSSHP? Getting to dress up and be a big kid in the parks was one of my favorite parts of it.

Due to Southwest points, I had to book the earliest flight on Sunday so more then likely I won't sleep after the race. Will def wear a costume for MNSSHP, I could go as Jack Skellington again but it was so hot last time. I'll come up with something new before then, Love dressing up with DD and having a blast, haven't figured out my ToT costume yet but I have some time for both.

I'm starting to do research on a couple night stay at DLP. I thought it would be neat to stay in the Disneyland hotel but its $500 a night more than Disney Hotel NY? Does anyone have experience with the Paris hotels and recommendations about where to stay?

Up a bit late updating the antivirus on the laptop, better safe then sorry. Another day I needed to :furious: calm myself three times. I think a time out is in order :rotfl2: (One month and I do have an extended trip to Sarnia for Easter). HOWEVER in the last hour I had a really awesome customer make it a lot better. Had nothing but praise for my beer section/selection, best he's seen outside of the flagship Toronto stores. He longer has to go to two or three locales to get what he wants, odds are great I have most, not all. He is a big booster of Ontario Micro/Craft Brewers, and is proud I support the local little guys, not just the big breweries. This can only lead to good things, as word of mouth is a critical tool in establishing a customer base. It's good to hear good things once in a while, it's what my beaten-down sense of self-worth needed. (At the right time too) :drinking1

Morning David and a happy Friday to you. And yes, it was a good win for the Gators last night. Feeling good right now about their chances to win it all but that will go away when they tip off to play Dayton.
