Yesterday sucked, today sucked and I imagine the next couple of weeks are going to suck. Sorry, not in a great mood right now.

I was going to do my nemie thing, but without context thought better of it. Sorry things are not going well. Maybe today will be better. Planning 2 weeks of suck is not good.

Morning everyone. The cold and crap just keeps rolling on it seems...

Cool and windy here. No snow thankfully and the warm weather is supposed to kick in this weekend.

Same here. We are officially under a blizzard warning today but I think we are right on the edge. Heard this morning that we have 3 times more snow on the ground than normal and the ice in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence hasn't melted much yet.

I think we may jump directly from winter to summer.

We did that the last couple of years here. Cold and snow to cold and rain to 90 degrees. No real spring at all. Hopefully we get a decent spring this year. Her's to hoping the ice melts soon for you guys!:drinking1 Sent you a PM last night. That should help your outlook a little.

Good morning dads. Today we are going tothe eye doctor to see if DS needs his glasses anymore... I'm guessing a weaker prescription but I'm no DR.

But, did you sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night?:lmao::lmao: Good luck at the Dr.

This is the snowman I'm looking forward to seeing.

You killed Olaf!:faint:

Good Morning, didn't realize we had another Nashville DisDad recently, my names Philip, I live in Hendersonville.
I am in Franklin - original Chicago guy though.

Speaking of Nashville, DW bought 3 tickets to Katy Perry June 27 at Bridgestone arena. I booked a hotel room at Holiday Inn downtown. My plan was to drive them to hotel, walk them to and from concert, and drink somewhere for the few hours in between. If either of you are available, I'd like to do a meet up somewhere downtown within walking distance.
All kinds of watering holes within walking distance of Bridgestone Arena. I have put it on my calendar for now so just give a shout back with time as we get closer to the date and we can coordinate where from there.

That PM was a huge hit. One of the guys is a huge fan and we haven't told him where the seats are. Everyone else knows but we figured we would let him figure it out when we get there.

Will do. I can't believe how much ticket prices have increased. Granted, it has been 20 years since my last headliner.

Thanks guys for the thoughts. Not related to the kid it is just things have been crappy here. Stuff with the house and taxes. Also the bills are coming in for her medical expenses.

One good thing is I did make a reservation yesterday to fly to DC April 25th. The Cheetah is running in the Nike Diva Half Marathon the 27th. Should be a good weekend so I have that to look forward to.

Norm, I am def in, I normally go to the flying saucer, tons of diff beers and also carry liquor. Right down the st from Bridgestone.

Why does everyone move to TN from Chicago? Lol sorry still have bad hockey memories from all the Blackhawk defeats my preds endure.

But yea I'm going to mark June 27th down, hopefully we can all get together for a few drinks.

Does the Yacht Club get access to Stormalong Bay?

Yep. Both Y&B have access to Stormalong Bay. Best pool in the world. One day each trip when I stay there, I grab a table early in the morning and relax all day at the pool. Read, listen to podcasts, have a cocktail or two and occasionally go into the water. Man, I could use that right now.

Awesome. I'm thinking of adding a day at the beginning of our August trip and Yacht Club is one of the finalists along with Contemporary, Boardwalk, and Grand Fla. Apparently, there is a deal at the end of summer. Might be AP related. 30% off some of those.

Stormalong bay is great. Any dads ever get to visit when they had fish in the pools?

Completely agree on Stormalong as well as location able walk to back entrance of EPCOT and boat ride or even a walk to HS. We are staying at Beachclub in July:thumbsup2

If you are just gonna hang at a resort, my vote would be Yacht Club. Plus you could also just walk to have dinner at EPCOT and see Illuminations after hanging by the pool. If you are gonna do MK, Contemporary would get the vote, again, 'cause it is only a 5 minute walk.

Is that a euphemism or do you really mean fish in the pools?

I mean actual fish. I think I read that the area with the Sandy bottom was designed with a special filtration/cleaning mechanism that didn't use clorine so they could keep fish in it. I think they said they had to take the fish out because something in the water (suntan lotion maybe) kept killing them.

That and the wave machine on the beach at the poly are two of the historical things I really would have liked to see.
