On a happy note, Amelia on Tuesday was part of a tech team that went out to compete in a school- district wide competition. I believe they built simple racers with Legos or something to that effect. Came home with a ribbon, sone small prizes and had a lot if fun. Quite proud of her, she's come a long way for a kid who was struggling to read by grade 2.

Congrats to her; sounds like a lot of fun was had.

DS won a writing contest and gets an award during his Spring Break Pep Rally tomorrow, so I'm taking off for that---and as soon as that's over, he and I are heading to Lake Okeechobee for some fishing. He's on Spring Break next week:beach:

And congrats to the G-Man.
May the fish start jumping into the boat.

Mommy's not sure what she's going to do with herself:rotfl2:

Oh, she’ll think of something…

…Expensive.

Waiting at the dentist.

We went waited for an hour, saw the. Dr. and we were told that we need to come back in 4 months and get his eyes dilated.... We thought that would be happening then. Oh well at least he looks good in the glasses. That and we didn't have to drop any money on new lenses. So I guess I will call that a win.

My oldest (12) switched to contacts this year. Good luck.

Good afternoon gentlemen. You guys have sure been chatty the last few days.

Check out this Hawaii & Aulani TR by our own DISdad Captain Oblivious:

We really liked Aulani. Ama Ama is a very good restaurant, the pool area is fantastic and you are right on the beach. The Pirate Princess loved the shaved ice thing they sell there.

Hey, thanks for the plug! Short version: It's expensive. But everything in Hawaii is expensive. And it's awesome.
Thanks for the info guys. DW is rethinking DLR for her 40th and looking at Hawaii or the Bahamas instead.
:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Sorry to hear about DW. If I remember correctly, a torn PCL will heal itself, but the meniscus requires surgical repair, correct? I hope it is a ligament and it can heal without additional surgery.
Its not as bad as we thought. Looks like a sprain and arthritis is starting a bit early. They gave her a shot and set her up with a PT.
Thanks guys for the thoughts. Not related to the kid it is just things have been crappy here. Stuff with the house and taxes. Also the bills are coming in for her medical expenses.

One good thing is I did make a reservation yesterday to fly to DC April 25th. The Cheetah is running in the Nike Diva Half Marathon the 27th. Should be a good weekend so I have that to look forward to.
Hope things smooth out soon CJ.
Hey dads. Three more sleeps till the world
I hate you nemie.

Have fun storming the castle.

A hearty "Well Done" to the kids!

Good news that it isn't as bad as thought. Arthritis not so much.

Waiting at the dentist.

May that turn out to be painless.

If that’s the options head for Hawaii.
The Bahamas are nice enough, but more easily accessed from the Lower 48.
A whole lot of folks will never see Hawaii, so it would seem to me at least a better choice for a significant occasion.

Well, yay! for the “not as bad” part of it anyway.
May the PT go well, and finish up quickly.
And may the arthritis bit of the equation turns out to be a miss diagnoses… bleh.

I always thought Fed jumped in after the fish, not the other way around... :rolleyes1

Gravity certainly played a part, but “jump” is just not quite the correct verb to describe that particular moment of infamy.
:lmao:

Well played Gentlemen....well played...

Let me just say this... it is all about personal preference. Most who have a preference for one tend to think it is heads and shoulders above the other. Both have their own strengths and weaknesses.

Personally, I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 because I've always gotten along well with Android OS, and that extra screen size really helps me overcome my fat finger syndrome when typing on the touchscreen. I started out with Android several years back, just because I didn't really care for Apple or the iTunes interface just from the experience of using it with an iPod so I wanted to try something else. I've been happy with my choice.

Main thing, just try to get a few phones in your hand and see which hardware feels good to you and which OS you get along well with.

Our family is all iPhone and iPads and are happy with them. Good suggestion to get a hold of the hardware and see what you like. For phone purposes I need something I can put in my pocket as I use iPad or laptop majority of the time when on-line.

Just be thrilled you're getting a phone! My employer usually just gives me the finger.

And just to add insult to injury…
they make you pull it as well.
:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2::lmao: Thank you gents for the belly laugh to end the day, well almost end the day

Just for that Daddy's taking the whole family out for ICE CREAM!!!!

Survived the audit. The grants CPA said it was more simple and straight forward than they anticipated. I simply picked the wrong number of the budget report for the annual report to the funder. "Picked" interesting choice of words. :scratchin They should just label the columns, money you spent, and money you have left for us non-accounting types.
