At least I don't think I'll have to be here all day. Probably first thing in the morning, middle of the day and around closing time. But I can probably leave for an hour or 2 in the morning and afternoon.
Our facility manager is on vacation this week... mind you he made another employee
cancel their vacation since we still have some harvest going on around us and grain coming in, but it was ok for him to be gone. On top of that we had a train that was supposed to be here Monday to load before the holiday. The f-ing thing has been sitting in Louisville, KY for 2 days and they can't get it the last 90 miles until Friday afternoon. Oh... and did I mention we got full of corn yesterday afternoon, waiting on that train to make more room? So all I've been doing is talking to p!ssed off farmers all day long who just want to be able to unload corn so they can finish harvest. And now I get to come back and do it on Saturday since our mgr and the powers that be at the railroad decided their time off during the first half of this week is more important than anyone else's time.
He actually called and wanted us to be open Sunday too since we were going to be closed Thursday and Friday. Apparently he decided he wasn't ready to hire a completely new staff when he got back on Monday.
Whew... sorry. I guess that should have gone to the rant thread. I feel a little bit better though.
Happy Thanksgiving!
