Good Luck G Man!! Hope he makes it!

Any tips for getting BOG? Besides calling/going on line first thing?

Make your rez under the name "Bob Iger"??? :confused3

So what are you Mother's Day plans:confused3

I get to go to work till 1, Then we are going to Sesame Place to see to see the Imagination Movers:cool1:

Sat night we are baking my wife Pillsbury Hooray For Mom Mickey Cookies:thumbsup2

Cool!! I have no plans... yet. (got to work on that!)

Okay...

thanks for the birthday wishes guys!! I'm happy to be involved on the new thread. I've been busy so I haven't been on the DIS much lately.

Work has been busy but we're now approaching a really hectic part of the year. SIL is getting married this summer, which has added to the craziness. That makes my wife MoH and there are showers and craziness all over the place. All while we're trying to get ready for our WDW trip.

In other news, my knee surgery was just over a week ago and it went well. Saw the doc for the follow-up yesterday, and he told me they found a second tear in addition to the large tear they knew about. Both were cleaned up and the little pain I am feeling is normal. In another 4 to 6 weeks, I should be able to resume running.

So, that means it is time to officially register. Up until now, I'd been planning on running the full marathon. 2 things have changed... first, my knee surgery means I want to take it slow with training and not push myself. Second, with the change in the race schedule, we are trying to re-configure our reservation from Thursday-Monday to Wednesday-Sunday... do I really want to run a full marathon on Sunday and then have to leave on a plane later that day???

So I am leaning toward the half marathon instead now.

And it seems the decision on what color Team Sparrow will wear has been given to me. While it appears the choice has been made for me, with DoleWhip grabbing the gold, and Beverly claiming black... I think you all forget that team Sparrow is Pirates... we have no uniform. We "Take what we can, and give nothing back!" We'll wear whatever color we want!

Team Sparrow won't be known by the color of their shirts, but by the quantity of their rum! (and by how many wenches they get slapped by)

Good morning!

Had a busy Saturday working on the farm. DW had to go somewhere, so she left DS with me. She dropped him off at the field a little before noon and we were in the tractor until 10:45 pm. He did awesome for riding in a tractor that long. He got bored once in a while and started climbing around and apparently monitoring the gauges, but I think he enjoyed it. He has ridden with me several times before, but usually no more than 3 or 4 hours.

When we parked it for the night, he was asleep on the floor. I picked him up and when he woke up, I don't think he wanted to go home.

We got a lot done Friday and Saturday. I worked up about 250 acres on Saturday, and Dad got 150 planted before he had to quit a little early. We're about half done with corn. My uncle handles the soybean planting and he apparently has been having some problems. I think we've only got abyout 100 acres or so in the ground, but Dad and I are a little over half done with corn already. We got some rain yesterday and this morning, but once it dries up, I'm planning to take 2 or 3 days off of work to get it done.

That is awesome :thumbsup2

Morning everyone... my little three day weekend is over, back to the fun.:crazy2:

Evening guys. 180 day window opens for ADRs tomorrow. Finalizing plans now. :thumbsup2

+2

Hey Paul, join Team Beverly and I'll buy your shirt! :thumbsup2

I was going to ask how the recovering was going James, glad to hear you're doing good! :thumbsup2

Morning guys!

I was on the phone right at 6am, and missed out each time. I went online eaxh day checking to see if anything opened up and after a week, snagged one.

Look at the park hours. I'm not sure if Touring Plans is that far out or not. Pick the night you think MK will be the least crowded that you plan to be there. Weekends are busier than weekdays. If it is a special event like MNSSHP, the discount dates mean they expect a lower crowd/party level and that may be the better chance. EMH are fun, but it usually brings more people, so pick MK on a non EMH day.

Then, take whatever time you can get. Make it the first ADR. After that, then it is all smooth sailing.

Hit it first thing - I did and got a 5:30 dinner for our June trip.

Online reservations weren't working at 6:00, so we called in at 7:00. Was able to get all our adrs, including 2 BOG reservations. Worked out well! :thumbsup2

‘Morning all…

Geting up bright and early? the BOG ressies are brutal...:sad2:

Good luck… we’re all counting on you.

G Man is hoping for 48 by October/November...he wants Rock n Roller Coaster very much bad:rotfl2:

“Very much bad”, huh?
Well then, here’s a little prayer for a growth spurt.

When a young’en wants something that intently, they ought to get it.
:lmao:

Lauren made it by a hair (Litteraly) last month!:cool1:

That’s will make for a great story as time passes.
Sounds like you encountered a very accommodating CM (imagine that).

Now THAT is a collection. Most of my Original Trilogy stuff looks like it was in the Battle of Endor. I don't have much from the prequels. I have a Mara Jade and Admiral Thrawn in the box.

A “Thrawn in the box”…
Certainly cooler then a “Charlie in the box”.

So what are you Mother's Day plans:confused3

Accompaniment for the 11:00 service at one of the churches.
After that, we’ll probably take MIL out somewhere.
After that… I’m thinkin’… a nap would be good.

stubborn? who, me? I'm not "stubborn". I'm just a believer in doing things a certain way... that's all.

Yep… a certain way… my way :lmao:
Me too sir, me too.

Ah... now I get Fed's paintball comment from FB! Now to figure out the "shiv". :scratchin

That goes back to the marathons in January.
You’ll find the details quicker in those threads

Good to hear.
May the healing be quick.

There’s a successful recruiting strategy if ever I’ve heard one mate.

That's tempting! :thumbsup2

Randall, we still planning on doing Beirgarten with the families that Weds of our trip? I didn't book it yet, wanted to check with you.

It will just be Jodi and I, the kids decided to take the opportunity to get away from us. :lmao:

Good morning gents, and glad to get that Monday thing out of the way.

Online reservations weren't working at 6:00, so we called in at 7:00. Was able to get all our adrs, including 2 BOG reservations. Worked out well! :thumbsup2

Congrats and glad you got everything you wanted including BOG.

From what I had seen on FB it looked like Team Dolewhip had claimed the gold and Team Beverly the black. I got one of each of those and have not yet declared a side. I guess that would leave red for Team Sparrow. Someone else can jump in and correct me if I got that wrong.

No one gets to claim colors from Team Sparrow. We're pirates. We will pirate whatever color(s) we like and pillage those that resist........right after the game and a few drinks. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Back home from parent night at dance. Oldest dd had three classes, which made for a long 3 hours. The good news is that one of the songs is "Paint in Black". While not the Stones version, it is the same lyrics. So, I get to enjoy some good music. The theme of the show is occupations, and her ballet performance is they are all asteroids bouncing on the moon. It's not quite Space Mountain music que, but I think they may have sampled some sounds. Either way, it helped make for an entertaining day.
Wow... there's a non-Stones version of Paint it Black and you consider it to be good? :confused3 :lmao:

Great song. And it is Joey Votto's walk up song when he bats, so that makes it even better.:thumbsup2

I know its a bit late, but in honor of Star Wars day this past Saturday thought I'd share some pics of DS Star Wars collectio - 4" figure line. OK, we'll call it DS and Dad's collection as we have 2,018 open figures and another 32 unopened. We took over the entire guest bedroom. Wasn't sure if I should start a separate thread so posting here and if you veterans think a separate thread is better let me know and I will start one.
This is the perfect place to post random items like that. Just sometimes they get lost in the shuffle if we burn through several pages quickly.

That is an awesome collection! :thumbsup2

When I saw the pictures of all the figurines in the bottom of the drawer, I couldn't help but wonder how often you get a bunch of them out and re-enact scenes from the movies? :lmao::rotfl2:

The Heat just lost game 1 to the Bulls. Absolutely pathetic. The Bulls just have now become a bunch of floppers - sad to watch. But, James should be good enough to beat them. .

Not a Heat fan at all.

In the words of Bill Swerski

Da Bulls!!

I'm glad the knee seems to be healing well.

Alas, we don't have tons of $$ to spare, so it'll look like the POP again...

Thanks Brent! Looks like POR has a higher discount than a lot of others. We are already booked there, maybe it makes sense to keep it there. I'll run the numbers today. I think Aaron said it is being announced on Thursday. Any idea if we can book now using the visa?

I think the Beverly's took black because it is slimming. :rolleyes1 popcorn::

Someone is very excited...came across my tape measure so I had Audrey stand up straight and took a measure. 45" ! Officially she hit the magic 44" marker meaning she'll be good to go on a lot of rides she missed out on. She was jumping for joy!:thumbsup2

Now that is a reason to celebrate!:cool1::cool1:

Note to TwinDad - DS was reading your posts on the SW rumor thread and thought you might like to see some this.

They have a show about hoarding where you can get some help (JK). That is a pretty big collection. We have a bunch of stuff, but not nearly that much. We do have a giant Han on Taun Taun.

Evening guys. 180 day window opens for ADRs tomorrow. Finalizing plans now. :thumbsup2

It's always an exciting time. I agree with Brent. Call early and often. It was booked and on a later call Brent got an early ressie and then I called and got his at 9PM. Still a let ressie, but nothing has opened. Once FD is officaly for Sept 2, I'll start calling again. I figure there will be some cancellations on our dates since I know people were booking with expectations.

G Man is hoping for 48 by October/November...he wants Rock n Roller Coaster very much bad:rotfl2:

DS favorite ride. They make stretching racks and HGH.:thumbsup2

I hope so, got mine...had to juggle the itinerary a bit, but worth it

Have you checked back at all? I'm going to start calling for a better time.

Hit it first thing - I did and got a 5:30 dinner for our June trip.

Just got off the phone with them. CM said that there are cancellations, but they are not going back into the system. The demand for reservations is so high that they are not reopening. :confused3 Not sure that makes sense to me but what can you do. I'll check the day we are there and see if we can get in a little earlier.

So what are you Mother's Day plans:confused3

Sat night we are baking my wife Pillsbury Hooray For Mom Mickey Cookies:thumbsup2

We have a baseball outing where the dads put out a spread for the moms and have the kids give them flowers. Dinner later with mom and grandparents. Most likely meat of some sort with bacon.

The online system seems to be down right now period. Trying to see what I can scrap together for this trip we just booked at 40 days out.
