And does anyone know how to make a text group on iphone?

Will post in all three clubhouses.

‘Morning all…

Eventful evening to say the least.
All y’all in Bean-town stay in, stay safe.
It will be interesting to hear the specific “whys” once this calms down.

Come on he only had one. How hard can it be? :confused3

Granted… twins are tougher (and you have my respect), but whenever anyone moves from “couple” to “family”; life changes…

…radically.

Congratulations! Have you started a college fund yet? ;)

Let me emphatically second this.
Start now…
Save three times more then you can stand…
Then save more…
Once you’ve done that; save more.

ignore this advice at your own peril.

Surprise, surprise... looks like the weatherman cried wolf. All the severe weather and 2"+ of rain ended up being .8" in a light shower.

Unfortunately, it is scaring the crap out of me. They got rain north of Indy while the bulk of it missed us, and that's how the past few rain events have been. Already shaping up the way last summer was, and I do not want to relive that kind of a weather pattern. :headache:

Forecasts are frustrating.
Prayers for the weather in the Midwest.
Y’all do not need another year like the last one.

Evening guys. Awful about the news out of Texas. Prayers for all affected.

FBI released video and stills of the suspects from the bombing. I'm praying they get some leads on these 2, quick.

Been a rough week around here. The response of the people in and around the city has been great though. DW and I lived in the city, on the marathon route, before we had kids, and we spend a lot weekends in there these days with DD and DS. DD has been sheltered from the news, so she has no idea what happened, but I'm not sure how we'll handle talking to her about it the next time we're in there and she sees the damage/memorial sites that I'm sure will be up. Part of me wants to keep her away from it for a while, but the other part of me doesn't want to ever feel like someone can take my city away from me. For that reason we'll probably head in with the kids for a day in the next couple of weeks and explain it then.

Could use some good news, fast!

Thanks for listening guys.
After the Newtown shootings, my DD's class talked about it in school. She was pretty shook up for a few days, but has settled back to normal now. But she still goes around to ever door in the house right before bed to make sure they are all locked.
Stay safe, Paul. Check in as often as you can.:thumbsup2

Hey guys, lots of talk about grim stuff lately. Well, today my world was rocked in the most awesome of ways. My DS was born at 9:42 this morning weighing in at 8 lbs 14 ozs and measuring 20.5" long. Already filling his little mind with all things Disney.
Congratulations!

Glad you guys are still ok. Hopefully they catch the remaining fugitive soon. As for the kids, that's a hard one. We know we can't shield them from the realities of the world forever, but we all wish we could.

The city will come back strong, though. History has shown it's not a good idea to start a fight with us in Boston.

Of course we’re listening.
That’s what we do.

In 2001, our son had just started the 1st grade. The school he attended physically separated the grades by hall and chose not to discuss the events on the halls below the 4th, deferring to the parents for those young’ens. Our approach was to answer all questions but not to dwell. He really learned about it in detail as recent history in middle school. I cant’ prove that this approach was either good or bad, but I know he wasn’t really able to critically process what happened at the time, so I’m good with that decision.

Different folks have dealt with this in different ways.

You know your kids…
Trust your instincts.

Congratulations! A shining star in a dark sky. Great to have some good news. Continued wishes for health of Mom and Son.

:thumbsup2 <======Not a thumb

In the close to 30 years of Minnesota winters I remember, this is only the third I seriously wondered why I'm still here. (92 and 96 were the others)

When DW came in the door she yelled, "Texas, Atlanta, Hawaii, or Florida. Which one are we moving to?"

Sounds like an opportunity. I hope you said Florida! :lmao:

One down, One to go. Stay safe up there guys.

Thanks CJ. It looks like they are slowly checking every connection any of them had. Everything is locked down and mass transit shut off. Watching intently. While unlikely, I hope they can take at least one suspect alive in order to wash out the rest of the network.

I asked a few days ago and may have missed the answer, but....How are you feeling? Better?

I hope you and Jim don't live in Watertown! Please stay safe!

No, I am about 30 miles north. Our company president is from around there. Police everywhere. I really hope we can find the guy and all his connections so we can get back to normal activity.

We are listening and talking about it, but my kids are older than Paul's. We regularly head into town with the kids and are in the area frequently (and usually for the marathon). We feel that while it is important for the kids to know what evil exists that the more important things to point out is the positives that come from these types of situations. How many selfless people there are that risk their lives to help others, how as a community we get through it and that we will overcome..find the bad people..and continue to make a positive influence on the world.

Prayers for all in need.

So say we all! Glad you guys are ok, Jim.

Glad you guys are OK. Like the rest of the country, I am watching the news intently.

Shoulder is better so the exercises seem to be working. Talked to the Doctor and asked if I could go diving soon. He said sure if you want to take the chance to reinjure it. So I guess I am beached for a while.

One of my clients does therapy for children. When Newtown happened I asked a couple of people how should you talk to your kids about incidents like this. Their advice was:

Talk to your kids honestly in an age appropriate way.
Don't obsess about the news (don't have the TV on 24/7) and stay emotionally calm yourself.
Go about things as normally as you can.
Emphasize that this is an extremely rare thing to happen and that they are safe.

Good morning gentlemen.

Third snow day this month. Eight inches on the ground and it is still snowing. :sad2::sad2::sad2:

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I believe the answer would be Florida.

I said Florida or Vegas. Both of us would be able to get a job pretty easily in Lost Wages, Nevada.

That's too bad; it's spring here. ;)

Spring here as well. Usually pretty windy, but 50's and 60's with some sunny days and others rainy. A pretty standard spring in new England. Good luck with the snow. It sounds like you could move to Canada for a break as well.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Snow?? Seriously? :sad2: That is rather sad news for today. I won't tell you what the forecast for today is here. Hope the snow goes away quickly!!
