And I think I’ll have a beer!

And that makes even more sense than what you said earlier. This is getting scary.

But I don't mind if I do... :drinking1

Fourth winter storm in ten days. I'm sick of winter. Norm, how quick can you have the camper ready? I'll tow it to CJ's!

So I guess I'll just say the first 3 weeks of April suck... :headache:

Well, I took the first two weeks off work in April, but I'll have to agree with you that this week sucks.

That’s what I was alluding to earlier. Historically (and personally) April seems to be littered with more then it’s fair share of sorrow. I suspect that is has a lot to do with the difficult and uneven transition between the winter and the spring. We’ve all bottled everything up and hardened ourselves against the baron surroundings for so long that the insatiable need for action (even rash action) can no longer be contained. Things tend to come to a head this time of rear. Huge changes overwhelm all senses. The mind screams out for change… any change… just something different…

It’s probably just my imagination, but I’ve long since come to see this month as the origin of watershed events. While it is a time of blooming and new life, for me it’s also a time to be endured and survived. Oddly that’s the reason I chose to marry in April. Being as finding someone to share my world (and save me from myself for that matter) made all the difference, I wanted to remember that each year during this hardest of months.

There’s just something about April….

That is way to profound for us. Well said though.

Well apparently, it’s not “what’d I miss” but rather “What’d y’all miss”.
:lmao:
:

Apparently, your April day was way better than mine.

I can get away with a lot more on Facebook than I can on here

Good to see you here Oscar. Did you get a free moment from all your Disney trips to post?

Mentioned hump day...got an appointment for a later date.:rolleyes2

It could be a good April day for you as well.

Well, sounds like we're under a tornado watch for most of the night. This will be fun... :faint:

Looks like we have some severe weather coming through here too. Not that there is ever a good time for it, but supposed to hit us between midnight and 2:00 a.m. :umbrella:

Be safe Dads

I'm right there with ya fellas.

I guess I'll know if we lose power in the middle of the night if my CPAP machine stops pumping air into me. :thumbsup2

Let's go. When can you get here? We'll send for the families later.
DW was quite graphic about what would happen if I left without her and the kids. Think you can fit in the back of a pick up between two car seats?

Evening guys. Awful about the news out of Texas. Prayers for all affected.

FBI released video and stills of the suspects from the bombing. I'm praying they get some leads on these 2, quick.

Been a rough week around here. The response of the people in and around the city has been great though. DW and I lived in the city, on the marathon route, before we had kids, and we spend a lot weekends in there these days with DD and DS. DD has been sheltered from the news, so she has no idea what happened, but I'm not sure how we'll handle talking to her about it the next time we're in there and she sees the damage/memorial sites that I'm sure will be up. Part of me wants to keep her away from it for a while, but the other part of me doesn't want to ever feel like someone can take my city away from me. For that reason we'll probably head in with the kids for a day in the next couple of weeks and explain it then.

Could use some good news, fast!

Thanks for listening guys.

Hey guys, lots of talk about grim stuff lately. Well, today my world was rocked in the most awesome of ways. My DS was born at 9:42 this morning weighing in at 8 lbs 14 ozs and measuring 20.5" long. Already filling his little mind with all things Disney.

I haven't told mine that I was leaving without her, and leaving her with the kids. I'd probably get the same response.

Just glad you all are safe. You will know what is best to do for your children.

Health and long life to your boy.
Our best to his momma.

And if you thought you were a “Bit Goofy” before…
You ain’t seen nothing yet.
