‘Morning all…

Busy day in our house. The boy has an all day band rehearsal up at the high school and I need to get up there my self and start working on props and scaffolding. I’d rather be at Disney, but this certainly beats work.

Last day at WDW.

Gonna do MK... Pick up a couple of missed characters M&G's (namely Tinkerbell), and then do a game of Sorcerer's of the Magic Kingdom.

Back to the resort early, quick swim, pack up, and head to DTD for some shopping and dinner at T-Rex.

Fight out tomorrow morning is 6:00 am... :scared1:

Y’all enjoy the last day of adventure. Sounds like a great plan. Well….
except for that 6am flight tomorrow, that plane will be headed in the wrong direction.

Final preparations underway for DD6's B'day party today. I think I'm gonna need a long siesta after this fiesta. :faint:

And a happy belated birthday wish to your young'en!

Enjoy the post-party siesta.

Morning all. An extra super lazy weekend planned. Ankle is feeling better today. I certainly don't to waste $20 on a copay, but it would be great if there was nothing wrong by Wednesday.

Rest up.

I’ve wrecked both of my ankles one at a time in the span of 10 years.
Neither was a good experience (and they’re both still a mess).

Hoping for nothing wrong by Wednesday.

Avatar? I thought that was a picture of you. :lmao:

Glad we got that cleared up. :lmao:

When we started planing our trip the unofficial guide said do the parks in the order of least fun tomost fun so ur kids dont get bored by the least fun after the funnier ones, that's not an exact quote so for my DD I ranked
Epcot
AK
HS
MK
We are not doin Epcot this trip but I was wondering how some of the other Dads rank the parks

It really depends on your kid’s ages and your family’s temperament.

For my family it would be.
AK, then HS then MK and Epcot (tied for first).

But my son is nearly an adult so characters, princes paraphernalia and fantasyland in general don’t do much for him.

Sounds like fun (except the 6am flight home)...have a good day.

Thanks for the B'day wishes for DD. Her B'day was Wednesday (the same day I was out of town and met with Trennr). I've spent the last week getting everything up-to-par around the house in preparation.

10 little girls were invited. Two have declined. Still means that we will have 8 six year old girls running around, plus all of the family and other adults.

I may have to post pics of the party later. DW has really outdone herself with this one.

Happy birthday to DD....and good luck to you!

Not too bad, but still a challenge. We have now just went elsewhere for birthday parties - bowling alley, kids pizza place, swimming pool, ice skating rink, gymnastics, or wherever else we can find. It costs more $, but saves me from all the set-up, clean-up, and having all of them in my house.

But, when their birthday falls during the weekday and we have a party on weekend, DW still insists on taking kids out to eat on their actual birthday. With the cost of the party, we don't really need the extra meal expense. But, we always do.

We do the same, we have a relatively small apartment, no room for more people. Makes it a lot easier. Eacj of the girl's last birthdays they got treated to Great Wolf Lodge. Yes, they didn;t get to have friends over, but it almost cost the same then a party for friends, go figure.

Hard one to rank, all have their pros and cons. Used to get the least out of Epcot, but we usually do a couple of days there now. World Showcase is one of our favorites (used to be the only thing we went to Epcot for). AK we spend the less time at now, usually get it all done in one day

My DD age played a lot into it, I was at Epcot in Jan and had a great time but could see where she would get very bored after a few hrs and the countries would be even more boring to her so that's why it's last and not even on this trip and HS and AK was my call and I guess partially biased on my part we have never been to AK but are looking forward to it but with her not being able to ride P Whirl figured it would be best to start this one first

The kidcot stations sure help alot with the showcase. I just with they still did masks instead of Duffy. Plus, the kids also know that Mom and Dad get to do their things too. Now that Audrey is tall enough to get on a bunch of rides, things'll be better too, she couldn;t do Maelstrom, test track, Soarin' etc, but she's now almost to 44" so by next year should hit the 46" mark, that feels crazy in itself.

Some one suggested buyin my DD tall soled shoes for DD so she can do PW I don't think they make 5"-6" high shoes for kids lol

Never stayed at CSR. Looks like I may need to. Great view.

It is beautiful, and the pool is pretty awesome.

We liked SSR, the kids didn't really sleeping on the pull out and wifey didn't really like the no housekeeping thing. The resort was really nice and the pool was great. We tried the pool in the paddock area as well which was really cool too.

I love Disney questions.

My favorite is MK. Cinderella's Castle just represent WDW for me. We bought at BLT so I cold be as close as possible. Hallo-Wishes, Wishes, MNSSHP

Second, is Epcot. Soarin may be my favorite ride at WDW - music, breeze, smells. Countries - alcohol & food. We bought into BWV DVC for here.

DHS - If they add Cars Land with Star Tours and TSM, this may move up. An easy walk from BWV.

AK - I am a zoo guy, but I want more animals at AK. I really could just ride KS all day, maybe taking a break for FOTLK & Nemo Show, but since the funkified the smell of the smoke they use, not happy.

We don't do water parks because we have Holiday World/Splashing Safari about an hour away from us here, and they have an awesome water park. DW gets annual passes there.

Tell me about it. Sleepover last week for 1 friend cost $50 for pizza and snacks and beer for me to survive.

We aren't a big fan of no housekeeping either. I don't care about fresh bed linens each day, but DW wants new towels each day. You can get that for $15 a day. I think we are going to that this year. If we had a 1 BR, then we could wash them each day, but that is more points.

Hope all is better soon norm. I sent you a get well card but I think you have a mail problem

The evil mail taunts continue.

Finally got our MNSSHP TICKETS TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2

Claiming our Disney Rewards to buy them, we have tickets for both Monday and Thursday and they cost us $55 total for all 8 tickets. :thumbsup2

The Monday event is less sold than the Thursday one, so it looks like a better Dis Dad Meet with Phillip and Lee.

Well guys we are on the final leg of this resort marathon. We checked out of CSR at 10:45 and am sitting in my room in the alligator bayou building 25 right now. Not bad transition time, we did on line check in again for this resort. I think that might have something to do with our rooms being ready early. We have a room with the extra bed, boys are already dividing up the nights as to who sleeps in the queen bed alone. Lol.
Hold on maybe I can in on this as well....

I don't want to tempt fate and cheat. The height thing has to be there for a reason....I've seen some parents argue, not going that route. Audrey was JUST under the Star Tours limit, no worries to us, even she took it in stride (and that says something...)

Haven't even ridden PW yet, last year it was down for rehab, before that I was going to ride, but took the girs to see Pluto instead, after that the wait time shot up, I skipped it. DW won't do it, it's too "spinny" for her.

Tell me about it. Sleepover last week for 1 friend cost $50 for pizza and snacks and beer for me to survive.
Necessary Expenses ::yes::

Awesome!! Really miss MNSSHP....so want to go back, but not ready yet to pull girls from school. If Amelia can prove she can keep up now that the whole french thing is behind us, then we'll try it again.

That's awesome, gives you something to feel a little magic at home. We have never done any parties but look forward to doing some in the near future.

Not sure if you guys new already but CSR had the new touch RFID cards, they look a little different and is kinda cool to just tap and enter.

I am pretty excited to see what comes next with the whole Next Gen thing
