Got off the phone with my buddy from the UK and we were thinking about our next dive vacation. It naturally turned to the Roatan trip we took earlier in the year. Decided to look through some pics from that trip and post a few.

Spent a lot of our down time swinging on these

At dusk they would bring out a fogger and basically fumigate the place to kill the mosquitoes. You heard the fogger coming and you ran away.

I was thinking these guys are great dipped in butter. They were in a protected area so are safe.

Something must be interesting over there

Roatan had beautiful corals

Unfortunately saw a lot of these. They are beautiful but Lionfish are an invasive species that have no natural enemies here and eat all the juvenile reef fish.

Wow. Incredible pics..thanks for sharing!

Rough hockey game last night. We won 8-2, but I got the heck knocked out of me. On one shift, I actually drew 6 minutes in penalties against the other team for slashing and cross-checking - all within the span of 30 seconds. The ref even commented that I got beaten up pretty good on that shift.

Of course, my wife and kids were in the stands because it was an unusually early game. Upon seeing the rough play (which was not normal because it is a no-checking league) I was gently reminded that we leave for Disney in 12 days and it would not be a good idea if I got hurt playing hockey. :confused3I have bruises all over my back and arms and my left elbow is swollen and black and blue.

We have 2 games before we leave. We are 10-5 and battling for first. I can't skip games, even for Disney.

Any Dads out there who go all "Boy in the Plastic Bubble" or "Running Scared" right before a Disney trip?

Wow...what had the other team all riled up? (Other then the fact they were getting blown out..heh heh) Seems rather nasty for a non-checking league.

No. You can still do Disney in a wheelchair! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Really, you just have to do your thing. You play all the time, so it isn't like you're taking some extraordinary risk by getting out there.

But this is coming from the guy who "played basketball all the time" and ended up in a walking boot for my wedding. So that that for whatever it's worth. :rolleyes1

That and they had a player who we kicked off our team last season because he was a jerk. During a game in the winter, he actually taunted another team's injured player after an accidental collision. :sad2:

He was politely told by a few guys on our team to "Shut the ---- up." :)

He didn't like that and some harsher words ensued. After the winter season, he was asked to find another team. :wave2:

So he was being chippy and yapping all game last night which kind of set the tone for the rest of the game.

I too have killed a goose, but it was Canadian so I just moved on.
Hey Nemie- hangover finally done?

I kill goose all the time, but they are Grey and that's something completely different.

We always do, CJ!

Wow, so much for "chicks dig scars", huh?

Wow...all that for a fun league? Unbelievable....

Preferred item of shoplifters everywhere. (At least at my store)

What is it and how bad can it hurt?

If I could picture anyone saying that right before they did it....it'd be you. :rotfl2:
