Hi guys. Rough day, it was one of those where I almost said screw it, packed up the family, and go to central casting in Disney and beg for a job.

I seem to have those days quite often.....I wonder what I might be qualified to do at Disney??? Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day!!

Bad Day Ownage!

I would prefer that one too! :thumbsup2

I'd offer to help with the move, but the distance thing makes it just a little challenging...

Actually, in another example of Korean awesomeness, moving companies here do EVERYTHING. The two times I've moved using these companies, they've arrived at an apartment that is in no shape for being vacated that day, get everything packed and loaded onto their truck (usually within 2 or 3 hours), move everything to the new apartment, and unpack everything. Basically, you just have to put the finishing touches on/placements for things.

So, in short, Korean moving companies pack everything, transport everything, and unpack everything for you...all on the same day.

Now THAT is amazing!!!:thumbsup2

Spain had 7 yellow cards and FIFA is reported to hand down sanctions. Nadal withdrew. A real bad Olympics for Spain.

Mornin' Dads...

Well, it's official....we're definitely going to be at WDW next June the week of my birthday!

It's off site, and probably will only do 3 or 4 park days....but it's official!

Staying at a Marriott vacation club property. Grande Vista. Anyone ever stayed there?

Ohhhh.... did ya hear, Disney's new off site policy?

Parks will not be available to any off site guests, but only in the month of June.

Good luck with that!

Hey fellas!

After 2 wonderful weeks of vacation including some time in our favorite place, I'm suffering through the inevitable morning after at work. :headache:

I have no idea what you've talked about in the last 100 pages or so, but that sure is an impressive volume of material. :thumbsup2

Managed 2 DIS Dad meet-ups on the trip:

Had a work weekend here helping out some friends with house stuff. First, on Saturday I repaired some flooring for a lady at church. She had a burst pipe under the slab and just needed me to fix the flooring. Basic lock floating floor, but still a PITA to fix a small section. About 3 hours worth of work here:

Who knew you were so handy....

Excellent job Don.

Well, SWMBO's Mother and I had workds again this evening when I got home. She did not like how I was handling a discipline problem. I had to remind her that I was the parent and she was not. Dear Lord help me make it two more weeks when the kids go back to school and we dont need her services anymore until next summer!!;)

Prayers for strength your way :grouphug:

Reading back through the past few pages, I just want to say I appreciate the kind words and concern from everyone. It is a trying year for farmers, and sometimes when you see people on the news, you really wonder if the public actually understands what is going on because the ones reporting the news really don't seem to have a clue. I should know by now to expect better than the general public from this group though.

As of right now, corn is sitting at a record high price. There are people out there that will say farmers are getting rich at the expense of consumers. I can assure you that isn't the case. Seed this year was higher than ever, as was fertilizer and rent prices for farm land are borderline obscene. Even with record high corn prices, guys around here are talking about how they're looking to grow different crops or go without fertilizer next year just to stay afloat. I think we can count on the fact that the staples of many Disdads diets (beef and bacon) are going to get expensive in the coming year. Trust me, those farmers who raise the cattle and pigs aren't going to be getting rich either.

As a friend of mine who raises hogs said the other day said, he might as well just stand next to the truck and toss a $20 bill on each one as they load them up.

The hard part is that I seem to be stuck with the same problems both on the farm and here at work. My other job is at a grain elevator, and our profit is driven by how many bushels we can put through our facility each year. Last year we were down a couple million bushels below normal due to the dry weather, and the drought last year pales in comparison to this one. I don't feel like my job is in jeopardy, but as a company, we cant stand too many years of this in a row before something is going to have to give.

Anyway, sorry for the lengthy post, but I just wanted to say that I do appreciate the words of support and kindness from all of you. I stress about my crops at home and I stress about everyone else's while I'm sitting at work, so it is always great to be able to pop in here for a nice diversion.

Thanks.

Don't be sorry... we here to provide the little support we can... and we promise not to complain when a loaf of bread goes up $0.20

Been there, done that... But you are the parent, and have the right to speak up.

Don't let it stress you to much.

Don't mean to 1 up you, but remember my mooching BIL? His dad (my FIL) booked his family a Disney trip this week with his credit card and gave him his truck and his credit card for gas and food. Last month, MIL took $16,000 from her bank account and paid off BIL's two vehicles as well as the extra fees to get them out of repo. This on top of all the past mooching. I can't wait for the next holiday when he tells everyone to vote republican because there are many lazy people mooching.

I think One Norm is One to many... :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Good thing we don't pay you to think.

You Win!:worship:

In Law Ownage!!

How did I get attacked in this? I was going to say good to hear from you, but forget it.

:rotfl:

Probably just because as I scrolled through the past few pages to see what I could see, I saw you the most! ;)

How've you been Norm? Good to "see" you, even if it's not so good to hear from me!

You forgot Robs.

No kidding... he comes out of hiding and that is what he has to say???? :confused3 :lmao:

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

Andy - I've definitely been thinking about, and praying for you guys throughout this drought. Every time I drive past the cornfield across my neighborhood I wonder how you're doing. My bad for not connecting with you directly.

Didn't try to win. There has been a lot of hurt feelings in my household since DW found this out. Of course, my solution, is to just stop talking to them. Let all the mooching Beverlies have each other. But, that is not her.

Been doing well. Life doesn't change all too much for me. Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing. See, this greeting was much more like it. Any new exciting news your way? Saw the picture of you hanging out at AKL.
