Speaking of which.... Look who's at 1999 - one away from 2000!

SPEECH! SPEECH! SPEECH! SPEECH! SPEECH!

Okay, "pot".... (calling kettle a poster padder)

But I multi quote others than myself.

and so it begins...

I left the truck I usually drive with the mechanic on station for an oil change on Friday and I was going to load the truck for the meeting today. Dead battery. No jumper cables and they don't give me a key for the maintenance shop. I decided to just buy a new battery but and after about 15 minutes got one connection removed and went to look at the other one but didn't even attempt it. Completely rounded off. So I unloaded all the tomato stakes in the bed of the 2nd truck and will be off to the meeting a couple hours later than I had planned. Now I will get to return to the holler tomorrow to switch trucks after the mechanic replaces the battery. At least I won't have to man the registration table all afternoon trying to give directions to buildings I don't know where they are.

The avatar seems to be appropriate for you.

An awful lot of shameless post padding going on over the last 24 hours. Must be I have people frightened that I will sneak up through the ranks. :rotfl: That is a possibility with 3.5 days worth of meetings coming up assuming I have a connection in the lecture hall.

Never.

Welcome. Dues are payable in Dole Whips, bacon, beer, or cake and you will get a member # soon enough. We go every year in October. When are you going? Page 1 has some dates of who is traveling and when and we try to meet and post pictures.

As a dad of two dds, 10 & 8, I get what you are saying. My recommendation for BBB is, depending on what package you are getting, bring a pair of comfortable shoes for her to change if needed, as well as change of clothes. I did the full BBB package for both and while they picked cute dresses and shoes, they did get scratchy and uncomfortable after awhile.

Thank you for the nice welcomes, we will be there oct. 7th -10th, Thank you for the advice, Ive already had a few run ins with the itchy costumes, so this year we had her try on the minnie outfit in the store and walk around, then again at home to make sure that is the costume she wanted and she wasnt going to say its itchy, but I am still preparing for the worse haha. shes doing the 80 dollar package (it still stings) but its her first trip and i know shes going to love BBB. ohhh and the dues are no prob, pretty sure i can handle that.

Good thing. We did the super mega package (pictures, outfits, hair, make-up, nails) x 2 children and went to eat at CRT afterwards. Still giving blood to pay that one off.

I had read that Minnie and Alice dress where the softest, but when we got there, they were out of Alice dresses.

We will be there the same time. What day are you doing the MNSSHP? Maybe we can meet up then?

I think we are going with Steaks on the Grill... Baked Potatoes, Vegetables, and Corn on the Cob.

You coming?
You're my mom's age aren't ya? :rotfl2:

The 8th is when we are doing MNSSHP, that would be cool to meet up if yall are there the same night. have yall already figured out what costumes yall are doing? I understand the blood quote, I feel the same way, my daughters been through a tough time this past year, im a single dad and her mom isnt around alot, so its been a tough adjustment for her, and even though this trip isnt going to magically make her feel better, if it makes her smile for a few days, weeks, months or years its well worth it.

Let's try this again.

Yes, we will be there that same night. One of the other DisDads will be there that night as well. Maybe we can get an early meet in the party or even outside before it opens. Are you all doing the park that day or just the party? On MNSSHP days, we skip the park, sleep in late at the resort, swim, maybe nap, and get in at 4:00 PM with the ticket.

Sorry to hear about her mom. That is sad. WDW will make her extra happy and extra special, but you as there dad can do that for them as well all year round. Never sell yourself short.

As for costumes, one night we are going as a soccer team. I coach my youngest's soccer team and will have jerseys for all of us to match. Not looking forward to the tall socks in the heat, but will survive. We are doing a second MNSSHP for the first time this year. Not sure what that costume will be. Oldest has her Alice Dress she wants to wear, but I don't know if I want to the matching costumes in the heat.

Yep. Don't sell yourself short. Single dad too and we can make DD's smile with even just a little Disney magic

That sounds great, we are getting in around 10am on the 7th, going to HS asap, then we made sure to have the 8th free except for MNSSHP (i highly doubt my DD could last a park and MNSSHP) thats the night shes doing BBB,then the 9th we will prob have to sleep in alittle and go to AK once we get going, then we saved MK for the 10th and CRT for the afternoon, the morning of the 8th we will prob relax and swim and maybe go to DTD and walk around, lets all def do a meet up, could def use some WDW and MNSSHP tips. and im pretty sure this is my 10th post yay!!!!! i think i had a few deleated for whatever reason though
