What a fun trip NY is. Had my wallet stolen last night. Cancelled the cards but no ID and I am picking up the kid to go to the airport in a bit. Called AA and they basically said good luck. Fed, can I tell them I know you?

Wish me luck getting on the plane.

I do believe that would come under the heading of: “bad”.

That’s just not right. I hope you’re able to catch your flight home.
This adds a new dimension of things to consider when traveling via air.
:headache:

That sucks. Sorry CJ. They should still let you board without an ID, you need to talk to a manager there though. Having DD with you, assuming she has ID, should help as well.

Good luck. If you get stuck and feel like coming up to Boston for a few days, let me know! ;)

It was the Monument Avenue 10k in Richmond. Challenge? Not yet. I probably won't decide until November if I'm going down for the half-marathon. If she's running the full, I'm out! Is it bad that I'm measuring my fitness and athletic ability against that of a girl who's still in high school?:rolleyes1:

Come on you can do a marathon. You can beat a little girl.

Hey guys. Had my annual check up today. All systems are still functioning normally, for now. :thumbsup2

That is good news. I am still worrying that many of my parts will not function normally.

You better keep her lacrosse stick handy. Smart and attractive will have the boys lining up.

Thanks, she is cute and it worries me. I prefer baseball bats over lacrosse sticks. Much harder. Her date to the prom is supposed to go out with us this week. Will bring both. That is if I get out of NY. Congrats on 1,000.

So my boys did an overnight campout without me this weekend. It was my younger son's first campout as a Boy Scout (from Cub Scouts), and the first one that either has done without me there. I was a bit nervous about this, since I had to work, plus, it sleeted all morning before they left.

I'm happy to report that they both did great. A big step, particularly for my oldest (the one on the autistic spectrum). They even did a 5 mile hike! Very proud of them!

Good for them. Growing up.

Or Connecticut? That stinks, CJ. Good luck getting on the plane!

Any Dads out there with experience programming apps? How hard is it? If I have a good idea (not Disney related), is it even financially worth the effort? I have some programming experience in college and am fairly computer literate. Would I be able to do it?

:scared1: sorry to hear that. hopefully karma will get revenge on the perpetrator for you.

Good luck working things out with the flight home!

wow, really slow in here today. Everyone must be recovering from the weekend.

or doing their taxes. nothing like waiting until the last minute. Such a depressing process. It starts out telling you how much you'll be getting back, and then the number just gets smaller and smaller and in my case, becomes a number that I OWE!! :scared1:

Why can't they just start out telling you that you owe a large amount of money and then decrease it to the actual amount, just to make you feel a little bit better??

Maybe this will be the last year we owe because of my freelance work?? :confused3

finished a rough draft and I owe federal and state each approx. $1700. Now I have to go back and find any missed deductions over the next few days to see if I can lessen the damage a bit.

:scared1: do I have to pull up the carpet AND the linoleum to look????

Congrats on 1000!
i would check it out in a corner.

Busy busy week ahead at the ol' Liquor Store :rotfl2: Today we swap out the old displays for the new ones, change all the promos (sales, bonus Air miles etc) signage to reflect the new theme, a major work day (We do this once every 4 weeks). Not to mention lots of incomming stock for Easter, one of the busiest weekends of the year! (Thursday & Saturday will be madhouses). Going to head in early to get a start on things. Have a good one guys!
family!!! i can see why easter is a big weekend. three words, mother-in-laws!!!:lmao:
Glad to hear he's doing so well now! Births can be rocky starts, and how fortunate that there were folks there who could turn things around so quickly (I have no earthly idea why people would take the risk to do a home birth...)

FYI, the infection is Group B Strep (GBS). It's by far the most common infection in newborns, but fortunately easily treated if caught in time (like for Ryder!) Congratulations again!
its nice to have a doc, doc. :thumbsup2 thanks!

Thanks guys for the concern and offers to bunk with you. TSA was giving me a hassle then I told them I knew Fed. Passed me right through.

Actually it was relatively easy. Showed them the police report and the guy asked me if I had any other ID including prescription meds. Thanks to my hospital stay, have lots of meds with me. Looking at a bottle, he asked for my address which I gave. "Can you give it to me again." I said sure but the address on the med is the pharmacy. "Oh yea, you are right. Go ahead."

Thanks. And you are spot on, no chance of me passing a mental examination, of any sort! :rotfl:

I met you and can testify to that.

Just the convention...we're out of DVC points until Feb 2013, so will pay out of pocket for the next trip. Still under negotiation for the next trip

Happy Monday Afternoon everyone. Spent the night at the hospital with DS last night. Up 3 or 4 times for feedings. DW and I are switching off, with the other one here at home with the bigger kids to get them off to school, etc.

Talked to the Doc this morning - they stopped one of the antibiotics that he doesn't need, but will need to be on the other one until this weekend. As of right now we're looking at bringing him home Saturday night or Sunday morning. It's going to be a long week, but he'll be home before we know it!

And just for fun, a picture of the little guy:
