Got to do some running around today.

Wednesday is our 13th anniversary.

DW wanted a new purse :sad2:.

I bought her the EXACT one she wanted - how sweet and caring am I.

Well, we are going to return it today.

Turns out, she doesn't actually want that one, but one like that one, that is nothing like that one, but is still a purse, just completely different.

Ahhhh.... love. :lovestruc

:lmao::lmao::lmao: Thanks for the morning laugh!! I can totally relate to this post. I, however, would never attempt to buy a purse on my own for this very reason!

And, my iPad case is supposed to arrive today. Then, I can bring it to work to have something to do since everything else is boxed up.

Good use of the time. Also glad to hear that you got the thing up and running now.
:thumbsup2

I just order my DW the Kindle Fire for her birthday. Being as her main want was for a way to browse the web while watching the telle in the evening, I didn’t see the need for the additional bucks associated with the iPad. It’s also a good excuse to finally get around to installing a wireless router in the house and upgrading the rest of the gear.
:surfweb:

On my way to a preschool parent-teacher conference.

can't be nearly as stressful as the ones when they are older, can it??

One would hope not. What are they going to complainer about with an infant…

overly aggressive poo production?

Or is this for the five year old.

Got a PIN :thumbsup2

Got no money :sad1:

I think the Disney marketing department is in cahoots with financial institutions everywhere to purposely target those low on the funds with these offers!

It's like hanging a carrot on a strong in front of a horse.

Or, as a better analogy, hanging a doll whip on a string in front of a DisDad.

Well, I finally got my stitches out today. :cool1:

Only 3 more weeks until I get some more! :headache:

My DD4.5 has her kindergarten testing today. She's young, but of course, we think she's a pretty smart cookie and very mature for her age.

Wish us luck! :thumbsup2

This is the way I look at it, if I don't try I'll never know, If I buy one and lose I'm out $100 and get told I'm sure by my wife I told you so:lmao:, If I win I'm the smartest guy ever for going against the grain:confused3
Look at it this way. You're donating $100 to a good cause. If you win, it's just a bonus!:thumbsup2

DD asked yesterday if she could have an allowance so she can start saving for a trip to WDW. I agreed, and gave her a few chores she needs to do each week. Then came the time to negotiate wages. I let her open. She asked for $3 a week. I agreed. Little does she know I was prepared to offer $5. Man, I totally out-negotiated a 4 year old, and it was great. :thumbsup2

Was Ebeneezer Scrooge your uncle?

After re-reading that post, I think I have to hand this back in...

Officialmancard-DawnOfTheAuthenticManCard581-581.jpg

I hope the DISMom's club still has room for me.
::yes::

Thank you for doing so on your own free will. Otherwise we would have had to send Fed after you.

Do you golf often? I've played a few times over the years, but mostly just enjoy driving around the course and drink beer. I have my own clubs, but lack a driver.
When I golf, the only driver I need is the designated kind.:rolleyes1

I am also in the minority on this one... buying your wife a purse is not a reason to hand in your man card (although you did seem a little too excited about the whole shell thing). If we aren't willing to brave the department stores or whereever to buy something like this for our wives, then how can we expect them to get us what we want.

I bought DW a purse once. I also got her one of the small mickey ones they sell in WDW
No, buying your wife a purse is fine. The level of detail that he got into talking about purses, is not. :lmao::rotfl2:

It’s not that you bought the purse…
It’s the extent to which you were aware of the associated details of said purse and the nuances between various brands of purse.
Crap, I agreed with my nemesis again.

Got a PIN :thumbsup2
I didn't get a pin, but my parents did. Guess I better go get myself a ticker. :rolleyes1

Wait a minute… what are they testing for as a standard for entry into kindergarten?

Crap, I agreed with my nemesis again.

It’s all part of my diabolical plan.

P1050288.jpg

My DD would LOVE to go there. I think she has watched every single episode that's on Netflix. She turned to me and DW last week and claimed that she knows what she wants to be when she grows up... a PICKER! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Good question - I dunno? :confused3

Probably the basics - letters and number recognition, basic comprehension, calculus, etc... :rotfl2:

My mom has been talking for over a year about taking a trip for their anniversary. They're taking my wife and me (and the grandkids, of course), my sister and bil, and my other sister who still lives at home. We're going to be staying at Coronado Springs Dec 1 - 8.

I don't know what the code offer was. I know that mom had been looking at prices and packages and then all of a sudden Saturday she found out she could get it for a few thousand less than she thought, so she booked it.:confused3 Must have been a 35% discount for a moderate, I guess.:confused3 Either way, it was good for up to 3 rooms, and that's what we got. We're getting QSDP, probably do a few TS meals out of pocket and planning to go to that other park in Orlando for 1 day during the week.

I'm pretty pumped about it. This is the first time I've ever had a chance to go twice in 1 year (Dec 3, 2011 / Dec 1, 2012) so I'm excited about that. In the past is has always been 3 to 4 years between trips (or longer). Also, my parents have been saving up to take this trip for a few years and are covering the hotel/ticket/dining package expenses. We'll just have to pay for gas to get there, a hotel room coming home and our Universal tickets or any other odds and ends we need to pay for along the way.

Oh good…
I was concerned for a moment there that they might not test for the higher math skills.
We can’t be letting the common rabble into the schools you know.

I hope she’s up to date on her knowledge of theoretical physics.

Nothing to worry about there Rob...she's watched Little Einstein's all her life!

Hooked on theoretical physics worked for her! :rotfl2:
