Thanks!! We may be there. As of right now, I have the day off and we're planning to be there. I didn't see anything about having a section set aside for us... I have to go look through the dvc thread.

DD asked yesterday if she could have an allowance so she can start saving for a trip to WDW. I agreed, and gave her a few chores she needs to do each week. Then came the time to negotiate wages. I let her open. She asked for $3 a week. I agreed. Little does she know I was prepared to offer $5. Man, I totally out-negotiated a 4 year old, and it was great.

When I ordered the iPad, my youngest dd (7) asked if she could have my netbook. I told her I would sell it to her. She offered $25 and I said yes. Part of me felt a little guilty, but then, her income is from chore money that I paid, so not so much. She gets my vast IT knowledge, which is really an email to one of you for your IT knowledge.

I just bought my DW a purse yesterday.

It's our anniversary Wednesday, and she wanted a new purse.

Orginally she wanted a MICHE, they are really kinds cool. You buy 1 purse, and put different "shells" on them, so you can have many different styles with a single purse.

I bought that for her, but it turns out the purse itself was a little small.

So we returned it, and I got her a GUESS.

After re-reading that post, I think I have to hand this back in...

I hope the DISMom's club still has room for me.

I am also in the minority on this one... buying your wife a purse is not a reason to hand in your man card (although you did seem a little too excited about the whole shell thing). If we aren't willing to brave the department stores or whereever to buy something like this for our wives, then how can we expect them to get us what we want.

Do you golf often? I've played a few times over the years, but mostly just enjoy driving around the course and drink beer. I have my own clubs, but lack a driver.

I try to play once a week. I usually golf with my father-in-law, so the DW doesn't care that I go. He just bought a new cart this year so we were breaking that in.

The last day I picked up my clubs was my wedding day. Hit a couple of buckets of balls at the range killing time before the ceremony. After that I no longer had time or money.

It is not a cheap thing to do. I used the same clubs that I bought for $99 at Target about 10 years ago, until this year. I just spent a lot on new clubs, but hope to get about 10 years out of these.

Yeah, I played more in my single days. I went to the driving range once and they let me borrow a big Bertha driver. I crushed the ball. And, my hook and slice disappeared. They said they would sell it to me for $50, and I should have bought it, but have rarely played that it really didn't matter.

I could use any club that would make a hook or a slice disappear.

today was a beautiful day.

DW allowed me to sleep in, which is always great! Got some work done in the garage and then ran out in the afternoon to pick up a chest freezer from someone off our local freecycle group. It was awkward picking it up because she mentions right off the bat that the reason they are getting rid of it is because they have to move due to the death of her husband just 2 months ago... I offered my condolences, but it just didn't seem enough... but what does??

after bringing it home where I'm letting it thaw out so I can give it a good cleaning, we went out to dinner at Chili's. DS behaved well and ate lots of chicken from DW's plate. Getting him primed for our trip this summer.

Home today. Team tied at 2 to 2. My assistant coach wanted to be more involved in game strategy, so gave it to him the 2nd half when we were up 2 - 0. They came back and tied. I think he realized this was a little more difficult than he thought. So, I'll take the reins back next week. I did ref 3 other games as well. 5 water bottles and a banana and peanut butter sandwich during the game. I made it through a lot easier today.

well it sounds like you had a nice day at the fields , I sure now when people thing they can do a better job the best things is to teach then throw them to the wolves this way when they flop they can step back and learn from the (this is hard to say ) Master . Norm how you doing with the weigh watching ? I really need to start bad but my stress has came down a bit with wife getting job and i think I really need to start working out .

I will buy DW flowers, perfume, candy, meal, Kindle, jewelry, and some other terrific gifts over the years, but I will never buy her a purse or clothes. As for returns, dude.

for one time I so agree with you !!! but the exception is my mom she b!@#$% moans and complains she needs a pocket book but never buys one so i buy her one she hates it 2 month later I say nice pocket book she says thank you , you bought it !!

I got the MyFitnessPal app on my phone today and took it for a test drive. At first I thought it was lowballing me on the calorie intake. (1770 after I put it all my info and goals) but then I realized that it credits you for any exercise you do. Day one almost in the books and I came in about 100 calories under the mark. not bad.

It's great for keeping of track of things that already have the calories laid out for you on the package. Having to construct your meal for something homemade is a little more work. But the good thing is you can copy a meal from one day to another.

that app sounds cool maybe i should get just to see how bad im eating may this would jump start me into doing something about me weight !

He did not mention it but im almost positive they will put us somewhere away from other people depending on how many we get ? when i had a couple of meets in a Chevy's in NJ it all depended on how many people .well hope to say HI next saturday

Wow you guys let me down!!!! Here I thought we started a new game where I would list the word/words of the day to avoid and you guys would go crazy and and have fun with those words . The word boat took off but I guess no one had anything to post about tired and sore.Oh well so much for the word of the day game. Who knows maybe I will try it again tomorrow with a new word

Good morning GENTLEMAN
it is a fine day out and i have the day off to go to the laundry mat to play catch up on wash this is going to be a fun day but a man has to do what a man has to do
after that take Mom food shopping , pick up kids , do homework , cook dinner , tonight's menu in the Fisherman's household starts off with
a nice tossed salad with a rasberry vinergret dressing
then it is going to be Pork francheise over a bed of sweet rice with steamed baby carrots .
Ok so i put alot on my plate for today got about 15 minutes to drop son off for the bus and get my butt in gear Because the after dinner with wife is not going to be fun tonight !!!
