I can't watch it for at least another 9 hours, when I get home from work...

I usually don't get to catch it like this either. I'm usually doing some studying and can't watch it, but amazingly I'm caught up this week.

yes! time for Big Bang Theory. :thumbsup2

Yes indeed.

On a somber note I visited one of my best friends and fishing buddy today. He just had back surgery, but something else was "off". They found a large tumor growing out of his right lung into his shoulder and pretty sure it's spread to liver and bones. This man (old enough to be my grandfather, but he's one of the guys) has been a rock in our little fishing group for well over a decade. I've spent hours and hours and days and days in a boat with him...

I've seen this movie before, I know what lies ahead and I know there ain't a darn thing I can do about. I do know one thing, that was only the shell of the man I know and love in that chair today...:sad1:

Thanks for letting me vent

Thanks Paul! You got any of the Bacon formula left? :rotfl:

Congrats. I couldn't find the original post.

Did you expect it to stop? ]
:rotfl2:

Hopeful, yes. Expect, no.

Here are the updated stats with XIV added into the mix. Special thanks to GoofyIsAsGoofyDoes for keeping stats!

Yes, thanks for the spread sheets. Looks like I made 4th, now I have to fend off the Canadian wonder.

I go to work and you guys close one thread down and start tearing through another one...It is hard to keep up aroudn here!!

That was my problem. We need to stop going to work.

I missed like 4 threads alltogether.

so, I'll take page 2 (or 3).

:rotfl::rotfl:

But aren't we all winners? :lmao:

That's what I like about you, Doc.

I can't believe you guys closed the other thread already. I know I don't drop in that often, but I don't think I even had the chance to post in it so I figured I better say hello and post in this one before it gets closed!

Hopefully, you'll drop by for a reply.

Nate, I Officially request to be your Minion.

I hope you will consider me for this position! :)

Nemesisissisis and minions. Don can now own the whole first page.

Hey guys,

Stayed home with a sick daughter yesterday and I have some Beverly raining down at work today, so I'm not sure how much I'll be on. But I figured I'd better at least check into the new thread.

Sorry to hear about your daughter. Hope she feels better.

You are mostly right. You do fall (or jump) into the water and try not to drown but the main thing is to remember to breathe. That and do not run out of air when you are 80 feet down.

And don't try to pick up these things.

Diving is a great experience. With Scuba, you are "one with the fishes." It is a whole different world down there. My house is open to any Dads that want to come down and try it. Will provide room (OK a couch) and board. All you need to bring is the cash to pay to get certified. Well, maybe drinks afterward. Come on down, the water is getting warmer every day.

Awesome pics.

I'd like to think of it more as positive thinking than irony. :bored:

Thanks for the new thread.

Whoever mentioned the Pirates of the Carribbean soundtrack the other day....big thumb----> :thumbsup2

Listening to it now on Spotify - good stuff!

Absolutely inspiring. (wasn't me, but I did watch the movie and stay in a holiday inn)

Sounds like you need a vacation! pirate:

Doing the 1 day dance OWNAGE!

Have a great trip.

I'm surprised Norm hasn't posted yet. It's not like him to not be in by the 10th page...

Made it by 20.

That's my nemesis for you :lmao:

Tried to give you hope.

I'm sitting here watching Comic Book Men on demand, bringing back memories of when I had my store.

When my DD2 calls and tells me she has news...

Congratulations GRANDPA!!!!! :lmao::lmao:

Late to the new thread. But, it looks like it will be closed by the weekend.
:welcome: Norm. We were about to send out the search party for you.

BAck from Parent Teacher conference. It was not as painful as I had imagined. We have been dealing with a lot of issues with Ethan lately and his grads have dropped like a rock. He has been asking A LOT of questions about his adoption and why and stuff like that. He is dwelling on it and I am worried that it has effected his school work. His self esteem is so low right now because of his grades and feeling unwanted when he was born. We have had to really step up our game and try to reassure him that he was wanted and loved and a God given gift. I impounded his 3DS when his grades dropped and I gave it back to him this evening after our conference. It seems that he made a 100% on his spelling test today. So, that shows me he is trying to move back into the right direction. Say a little prayer for us that he will continue this upswing and bounce back to the old Ethan soon!!
Sending prayers that Ethan will realize he has a loving family that is around him and supporting him. :grouphug:

Sorry to hear this Fed.... cancer sucks. I hope they find a treatment that will give you guys some more time pulling in some lunkers.

Went thru 20 pages. Wow, you all were chatty today. I'm going in to work for an hour tomorrow to turn in my travel and then take the rest of the day and Monday off.

We were at Lake Okeechobee last year and it had been a looong day, and I said "Ed, you're hanging in there with the young guys (:lmao:)".

His response was "One day I won't be able to do this. When that time comes, I want to know I hung in to the very end".

His last time in the boat was with us this past Veteran's Day Weekend at Lake Talquin. He was feeling so bad he left early, but he was there. Actually it was his the last time he was able to go fishing. I doubt he gets in the boat again.

Sorry guys...I'm taking this pretty hard. Even Fed has his weaknesses....
