I think those are all the ones I know off the top of my head. Oh, and the disneyland one.

I just got to work and I am heading home. My boss unbooked me for today because of a scheduling conflict. However, he only informed me of this via email... using my work email, which I don't get at home.

To compensate me, I get to come back in to work tomorrow, but only to observe. I can also put in for a couple hours of OT for showing up today. Hopefully, having finally observed the new weekend show, he'll consider me for some shifts when the regular director takes the day off.

well... now it's back to Penn to catch the train home.
That's a bummer, seems like your boss would have called you or something.

I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin', and hook up with them later.

My friend asked me if I wanted a frozen banana, I said "No, but I want a regular banana later, so ... yeah"

Who's got an iPhone?

How long does your battery last?
What apps do you recommend? (the free'er the better :rotfl2: )

We use Appshopper which lists a ton of free apps. We have a lot of them on my wifes iPhone.

Morning guys.

I was "wild and crazy" last night and a) turned OFF the computer - wow (for me that is a wow), and then b) at about 11:10 went upstairs to get my DW13 out of bed and bring him back downstairs to start a movie, but not just any movie - a 3+ hour movie! He's been begging me for the past couple of months to re-watch "Fellowship of the Ring" with him (he's a HUGE LOTR fan), and I haven't watched any of the films in a couple of years. Sure a scene here or there when he watches, but never just sit down and watch from beginning to end. He had asked earlier in the evening but I put him off yet again as I was hoping to go to our Men's Bi ble Study at churhc this morning, but got a message around 10ish that it was cancelled due to the coming weather (snowed through the night, at least here in my area of Central Indy it did). Anyway - I thought for a while, knowing I'm going to be gone for nearly 2 weeks - and decided it was the "good dad" thing to do. He was flabbergasted and thrilled. By the time we started (after making the popcorn, getting blankets to add to the cozy factor... we didn't start it til almost 11:30. Since I didn't need to be up for a 7am study, what did it matter if I stayed up til 2:30ish? DW watched with us. She's still asleep, but I have a meeting to go to at noon, so I had to get up. But it was great to give my son that "your special" feeling once again.

Awesome Dad time :thumbsup2

Trying to replace the faucet in the kitchen but the nut is rusted on. I tried the drill, socket, everything I have here. Went out and bought a rotary cutting tool. The battery is charging now (3 hrs) so i hope this works.

::yes:: Subscription needed

Undercover tourist has one though that will still give you wait times...I believe it's free as well.

The other one we use (my wife and I) is OurGroceries. It allows us to keep our grocery list in sync and at any given time always know what is needed. So we both have the app and can update our list as we need things.

Kinda nice.

I am going to check out that graceries app...sounds like something that will come in very handy! I like hearing aobut apps that peole are using and like...I am so new to iphone that I dont know what all it is actually capable of!

Deep Thoughts by Jack Handy

"One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going to take my little nephew to DisneyLand, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse. "Oh, no," I said, "DisneyLand burned down." He cried and cried, but I think that deep down he thought it was a pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real DisneyLand, but it was getting pretty late.

As it turns out, using your leaf blower to clear snow on the driveway is much more fun than using the snowblower or a shovel... Also gets you some odd looks from your neighbors. :thumbsup2

It's time for my once-a-thread check-in, letting everyone know i'm still a dad, and still into Walt Disney World.

TRIP UPDATE!!!!!

Headed to WDW (Coronado Springs) in February! It's a park-free trip, but depending on the weather, I may hit a water park.

which is better for a 4 year old: Tike's Peak at Blizzard Beach, or the Typhoon Lagoon one?

or Disney Quest? (he's 40 inches.... maybe 42 in shoes.)

And, I don't remember updating my signature with my DisDad number.... But it's there, and, kinda cool. So, shout out to Emma's dad? :confused3

Happy to report that I have survived after a night with five teenage girls in the house. DD14 had two friends over and DD 16 had one as well. Add in a 5 yo DD and wife (not putting that number out here), and that's a lot of estrogen. princess:

Looks like a wet day here and for many others in the club with rain on the east coast, snow for our northern members, Duck replacing a faucet, and a fishing Fed. Wish I was fishin' too. :thumbsup2

Have a great day and keep yer powder dry!

Congrats on your survival.

Good Morning!
I will have to read Mr. Ramsey. I definitely need to get a better handle on my finances, and it would be nice to have a plan in place for when we get out of the current mess we're in.
.

The total money makeover is the name. He has several books, but that is the one. Catch it at the public library.

I think I'm going to order the 32oz prime rib, now that's some good eating:thumbsup2

I was thinking the 4 lb lobster. But, I like surf n turf.

Dave is the man! I am a huge fan, his common sense approach to financial success has changed my family’s life. Things don't get very stressful around here anymore..

I follow it on most everything except Fisney vacations.

Left for a meeting at 7:30 this morning and just getting back now. At least DS got to go along. I had to give 3 talks on beekeeping and 2 of the 3 went well. The third after lunch :rotfl2: Me, DS, and two other people only one of whom stayed awake. I questioned the topic when they gave to me and my hunch was correct. No way I can go back and try to catch up though the boards seems a bit quicker than last time I checked in. Happy weekend Dads!
