So I got a question for those in the know about In-n-Out burger. I was in San Fran a couple of months ago and I had my first experience with In n Out. After all the talk about it I was somewhat disappointed. I will admit that after I got home I realized there there were a number of "off menu" options that I was not aware of. Don't get me wrong it's a definite step up from McDs, BK and the like of other fast food burger joints, but given my choice I'll take Five Guys over In-n-Out every time.

Anyone care to explain their love of In-n-Out as I'm sure there is something I'm missing.

Thanks for the insights.

Dave, sorry to hear about your aunt, but it sounded like she lived a very full life.

Taking a half day today (going to work for 1) due to some eye troubles. I woke up yesterday and my right eye was a little sore (not the eye itself, it felt more like a muscle near the nose). As the day wore on, the pain moved from the left side of the eye to above and below it, and made blinking slightly annoying. But if you were to look at my eyes, it didn't seem like anything was wrong.

When I woke up this morning, I could tell that my right eyelid felt heavier. Looked in the mirror and it was slightly droopy and swollen.

Just got home from the eye doctor. Looks like I've got an infection (possibly stye, but I couldn't quite understand everything he said). Got some medicine to last me for the next two days, and it should be better.

On a related note, I'm always amazed when I go to the doctor's over here (and pharmacy, as well). I was in and out of the office in ten minutes, and only charged about $5. Went to the pharmacy, waited about a minute or two, and paid about $3 for two days of meds (some pills and eye drops). Granted, I do have medical insurance that helped pay...but I think, at most, it paid for half. So even without, I would have spent less than twenty bucks for my visit and medicine!

Oh! And on another related note, one of the trips to America DW and I took, she had an eye that bothered her. She couldn't believe how expensive seeing a doctor and getting medicine was. If I recall correctly, both the doctor's visit and the eyedrops were about $100 each. I'm sure I had pretty much the same check up and bought the same eyedrops today, for less than $10 together. :lmao:
