It's a Nikon P500

I've actually been looking at the Nikon P500 for my MIL. She's got a point and shoot Canon right now but is going through the AA batteries all the time.

I'm just worried that the P500 might be a little too big for her.

But, I'm looking for something with a rechargeable battery and quick shot to shot time.

“Charles Fromage”!!! We dare not even speak its name in English.
Run!!! Save yourself. You can’t possibly deserve this miserable fate!

Can you?
:rotfl2::rotfl2:

that is great! :lmao::lmao:

I wish I could get out of it except the party is for my DWs godson. Nope. No getting out of it. :sad2:

Um... no. Remind me to never drive in CT. :scared1: :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:
LOL... how are we going to go on a pizza tour if you don't come here? God knows, there is no pizza tour in Indiana. :sad2: :lmao::lmao:

I do not like the placement of this attraction. It destroys the view of Tomorrowland from the hub. One of my favorite things about opening shifts was walking across the hub and seeing the different areas.

I agree 150%!!! Oh my goodness, they never should have moved it down from on top of the Peoplemover tower. Nor should they every have done the rest of that ghastly New Tomorrowland crap of 1998. What a waste of resources. Who really wanted the agrifutureland? All those stupid vegetables being grown here there and everywhere around the land... they should have left all of that for Epcot. I don't care if Kale is pretty as a plant, it doesn't need to be in a planter amongst those ghastly rock formations ruining the view from the Hub. Ugh.

Sometimes I wish I could be the one in charge there... because the one who came up with that change out needs to have his or her head examined, IMO.

Did I ever tell you the time I totaled 2 of my parents cars when I was a teenager? That was back in 1995-1996 :confused3:confused3 :lmao::lmao::lmao:
It had to have been at the same time, because if I were your daddy, you wouldn't get a chance to wreck a 2nd.

Who really wanted the agrifutureland?
I'll bet it was Andy!

Four to Seven-Year Olds...

that's about it.
And I have two in that demographic. :headache::headache: Although, luckily, they are catching on that we don't like that place. It might have something to do with the fact that when ever they bring it up, we respond "we don't like that place.":thumbsup2

Well this one has a rechargeable battery, and the battery life is pretty good. I like it for various reasons. I was looking at others when I bought this one, but never having a "real" camera previously - only point and shoots for many years, it was a good "step up" transition as I start to hone some photographic skills.

It's definitely not one I can just slip in my pocket, but it has a nice grip as well as the strap.

I like the 36x zoom, and the full HD aspect. There are so many cool features on it that I've been playing with on this trip specifically. One of the things I really like about it, is that the viewer on the back is on a pair of tilt hinges, so I can hold it up above my head and still see what I'm taking a picture of.

Where is the best pizza in CT? I will happily make a detour on one of my NYC/Mohegan/Foxwoods trips for a good slice of pie... :thumbsup2

He had no choice... I needed to drive.

The first one was 100% my fault.

The second one was 50% my fault... according to the police.

LOL We say the exact same thing. I blame the commercials on the Disney channel. They make it look like Disney but in reality it is more like Busch Gardens. ;)

Tell your MIL to get the energizer lithium batteries. They cost a little more but they last for a while. I use these in my Sony h5. It is worth the price! I can usually find a 4 pack on sale for under $10. Sometimes you can find an 8 pack for around $16. :thumbsup2

No, but I've driven in New Jersey...:confused3 :lmao:
:lmao::lmao:

I just subscribe to the theory that "he who has the biggest tires has the right of way." I'm normally going to win that one. :lmao::rotfl2:
That's not a bad theory! :thumbsup2

That is a loaded question. But if you want famous pizza, New Haven is the place to go.

Pepe's, Modern, Sally's.. all good.

Check out Modern on Man -vs- Food.. Bacon included!

You can get Pepe's at the casino but I've never had it there so I don't know if it is the 'same'.

My DW and I went out for our anniversary to an italian restaurant on Wooster St in New Haven. Our friends texted us and said they were waiting in line at Pepe's (sometimes on the weekend you have to wait 30-60 minutes outside). When we were done we met them at their table and after spending over $100 on apps, dinner, and dessert, we chowed down on Pepe's. It's that good. popcorn:: ::yes:: ::yes::

Thanks Stopher....I know it'd be a good camera for her. I'm just worried it'll be too big for her. But, she says she wants something with a good grip on it - so this definitely fits the bill.

Yeah - thanks Tim. We've been down that road as well. She still goes through batteries like Randall goes through Bacon!

:lmao:

I know she'd be much happier with one that has a rechargeable lithium battery with a spare battery waiting.

Now it's just a matter if she wants to spend $349. :confused3

CJ - just to add to your dining confusion, another fine restaurant choice inside Disneyland is the Plaza Inn.

It too is located on the Hub, and the end of Main Street (actually next to the Tomorowland entrance and that awful Astro Orbiter placement).

I ate there Sunday evening. First time in several trips, but I have always like it. It's another buffeteria, and is a great place on a summer's evening to sit and watch the parade pass by.

Currently on the menu is fried chicken, pot roast and some sort of pasta, but I didn't pay attention to that. I had the fried chicken.

And the dessert was really good. Years ago they made a fabulous chocolate mousse cake - used to be offered at the Crystal Palace... yum. I wish that they would bring that back. But this wasn't bad. Very rich though, as you might imagine with all of the different layers and types of chocolate involved.

On my blog a month or so ago I featured a video regarding the 24 layer cake at the Disneyland Hotel... you should try that one!
