Disneyland, naturally based on the size difference between it and WDW - doesn't have as many character dining experiences. This one is located at the Disneyland Hotel.

DSCN5562.jpg

Each of the 3 resort hotels has a character meal, and there is one inside each theme park.

Here are a few more photos before I have to get going for the day. After enjoying the hot tub earlier this morning, I'm sitting in the hotel room finalizing the booking of a couple of different vacations for people, while uploading photos here for you.

These are from inside my favorite attraction. Even though you've all seen these for yourself before, I'm sharing them anyway. Just because I love 'em so much. I have a miniature framed version of these four together hanging in my house)

Inside POTC - they are now rotating the mist screen between Blackbeard and Davy Jones. I had missed that along the way, so it was a nice surprise for me. I preferred Davy Jones to Blackbeard when they first switched from DJ to BB.

Here's the Partners statute at the center of the hub

DSCN5516.jpg

For the life of me I cannot recall which character statues that surround the hub in the MK at WDW... but here are the ones that are found at DL, perhaps they are the same in FL, I don't remember right now.

The new E-Ticket Pool at the Disneyland Hotel. The tiles surrounding the edge of the pool are recreations of E-Tickets. I still need to get a shot or two of those.

And the Monorail Slides

The pool complex celebrates Tomorrowland, each of the towers celebrate Adventureland, Frontierland and Fantasyland.

Just a few more and then I have to get going for the day.

Here's a look across Paradise Bay, inside California Adventure. This is from the west side, looking east. You can see the Cadillac Range of Carsland on the right side of this shot.

:thumbsup2 I showed her this and she likes this idea.

Glad to be of service. Sure there are more than a few of us here that will take care of it for you. Plausible deniability. We will have Fed of course but he can also give a few of us pointers on ways to dispose of bodies.

No way Tim, the Pirate Princess already took that title. If you didn't want to be #2 you should have taken out the garage door a month ago. :lmao::rotfl2:

You got that right Andy. Not that she would mind if Tim took the title away. Told her about the rash of bumper benders and she asked what happened. Told her one of the guy's car rolled into a garage door. Her response? "At least I haven't done that." My response? "Yet." Sorry Tim if it is too soon.

:rotfl::rotfl:

Did I ever tell you the time I totaled 2 of my parents cars when I was a teenager? That was back in 1995-1996 :confused3:confused3 :lmao::lmao::lmao:

He had no choice... I needed to drive.

The first one was 100% my fault.

The second one was 50% my fault... according to the police.

Told the younger Crash three strikes you are out. No insurance. No car. Hope I don't have to use the nuclear option because I like the idea of not fighting rush hour traffic to take her to school and getting her to stop at the store on the way home.

CJ - just to add to your dining confusion, another fine restaurant choice inside Disneyland is the Plaza Inn...

Stopher, you are killing me. In a good way though, keep them coming. Have been on your blog but did not see that write up. Will check it out. After I get a game plan. I will let you and Andrew know what it is so you can give your input.

Inside one of the entrances of the Adventure Tower at the Disneyland Hotel. Inside the cases are maquettes used to create the various animals of the Jungle Cruise.

Over in the Frontier Tower they have a scale model of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. And the Fantasy Tower pays homage to that ride of rides... your favorite and mine... (not really, though I do LOVE the Christmas version)... you guessed it... It's a Small World. Concept art is everywhere. Thankfully the music is not as prevalent. Oh it's there, but not constantly. Each tower has a music loop from the respective land that the tower celebrates.

Back in California Adventure, inside The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Undersea Adventure - this supersized mural greets you in the load area.

And Ursula is enormous. 8 feet wide. And the most articulate, fluid, and impressive animatronics ever created. And she'll be in the WDW version of the attraction as well.

And one more for now

Back at Disneyland, the original, Enchanted Tiki Room.

DSCN5405.jpg

And onboard the Mark Twain.

DSCN5382.jpg

This spot, on the second deck of the ship, for many years during the '60s and even early '70s, was used by a variety of musicians. Some you may have heard of before - Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald... and the list goes on. Jazz was one of of Walt's favorite types of music, and was infused into the lifeblood of both New Orleans Square and Frontierland as the steam wheeler would ply the Rivers of America. Those same artists and many more, also performed at the Carnation Plaza Gardens stage. One musical group from that era also got their start at Disneyland - the Osmond Brothers, featuring little Donny Osmond stealing the show.

Music has returned to the Mark Twain for a limited time this year. While the Coca-Cola Refreshment Corner at the end of Main Street (think Casey's) is under refurbishment, the ragtime piano player has been moved out onto the Mark Twain, albiet they didn't place him in this spot. He's playing on the lower deck. But it's nice to have entertainment of a musical nature on board while the ship plys the river.

"we don't like that place.":thumbsup2
Wow, Barry!!! Trying for that Dad of the Year award early I see.

I ate there Sunday evening. First time in several trips, but I have always like it. It's another buffeteria, and is a great place on a summer's evening to sit and watch the parade pass by.

Currently on the menu is fried chicken, pot roast and some sort of pasta, but I didn't pay attention to that. I had the fried chicken.

DSCN5238.jpg

I remember reading somewhere that Walt loved to eat at the Palace every Sunday and eat the fried chicken or maybe it was the roasted chicken, either way that looks good. We really enjoy the Character Breakfast there at CP in DL whenever we go.

You're close - he loved River Belle Terrace in Frontierland, and yes, ate there any time he was in the park. Especially breakfast. They serve a terrific breakfast there, including Mickey pancakes.

I haven't eaten there in a couple of years - perhaps I need to before I leave.

Dick Nunis and Card Walker also liked RBT.

What is going on??:confused3:confused3
Almost 2 hours without a posting.

That is a loaded question. But if you want famous pizza, New Haven is the place to go.

Pepe's, Modern, Sally's.. all good.

Check out Modern on Man -vs- Food.. Bacon included!

Pizza Wars

You can get Pepe's at the casino but I've never had it there so I don't know if it is the 'same'.

My DW and I went out for our anniversary to an italian restaurant on Wooster St in New Haven. Our friends texted us and said they were waiting in line at Pepe's (sometimes on the weekend you have to wait 30-60 minutes outside). When we were done we met them at their table and after spending over $100 on apps, dinner, and dessert, we chowed down on Pepe's. It's that good. popcorn:: ::yes:: ::yes::

Now I'm hungry. For Pizza. New Haven is 2 1/2 hours from me, so I will be making that trip in the not to distant future... :thumbsup2

Always been a Sally's man myself. White Clam with bacon... Or "garlic" which is just the plain sauce & no cheese... Haven't had one in 5 years and I can still taste it... Just need to put on some classic rock and head over to Toad's and it'll be like high school all over again!
