Not necessarily. We have at least one other childless member. Do you have nieces? Nephews? Dogs? We're pretty lenient around here. :thumbsup2

The grass was tall enough that the tractor could barely handle running it through that mower. At least I got it knocked down now, and hopefully I can stay on top of it now. If I keep it short, I can run a few gears higher.
Granny Gear, high PTO speed, and an open beverage. :drive:

Been quite a Beverly time lately. DW was sick on Monday, so I took off work to be with the kids. Got them off to school on Tuesday then came to work to find a big steaming pile of stuff to take care of. Finally getting caught up. Kind of. Hope everyone else is doing well.

I've needed a new lawn mower for the last couple years now, this thing is so rigged it isn't even funny:lmao:, my pull string kept getting stuck so I took it apart of course the when I did this the metal coil came undone so I just threw it away, now every time I have to start the mower I have to take the top apart and rewrap the pull string, have to do this at least 5 or 6 times while mowing the lawn:rotfl2:, If I can get it working I'm not spending the cash on a new one, guess it's a man thing:confused3

:lmao: Wow... and I thought I was thrifty. Surprised you haven't figured out how to rig a car starter on the top :thumbsup2

There is always the affordable way... ;)

:rotfl2::rotfl2: Snip, snip!

The yard is big enough, and the grass high enough, that this is more likely:

And I have a few dozen recipes for lamb, too.

Anyway, it's field trip day with DD.

 THE CLAW!!!!!

Good morning. I kind of quit doing my pictures from the tractor seat after we got going this spring, partly because I got lazy, and partly because I was in the same tractor almost all the time so it really wasn't going to be any different from one day to the next. Now that we're done planting we're working on catching up on some other odds and ends. Coincidentally, the job I was working on last night goes along well with all this lawnmower talk.

Another nice thing about mowing back around the woods is the scenery.

I don't know if you can see the one in the back there, but there were 2 does out there running around while I was mowing. They kept trying to hide in the tall grass until I'd get right up to them, then they'd hop up and take off running. They seemed about as interested in watching me from a distance I as I was in watching them.

Yeah... that's a lot of grass there! Well, USED to be there. I wonder how well Ron's contraction would have done? :confused3 :lmao:

When did you get transferred to manure sales?

Hey guys. Just got back from MK, solo. Had a good time. :thumbsup2 Wrote more about it on the other place and too lazy to hit copy and paste.
.

Glad you had a good trip.

Short night last night, long day, and can't sleep now. When ignorance is bliss,'tis folly to be wise.

Fortunately, i am regular with my sleep. Every now and then when I travel, i don't get as much sleep and it is difficult.

We all need goals...

I try to keep them realistic.

Morning again. Busy spending grant money before the fiscal year runs out. Not enough to really do much good but maybe we can keep from getting further behind.

I never got the call yesterday telling me that my truck was ready to be picked up, but I decided to make an unannounced visit to the body shop just to see what is going on. I saw it and it actually looks pretty good. They had it in the shop to be washed and cleaned out. The only thing I noticed just looking at it was that the bumper and fender are about 1/4" off on alignment with each other, and they told me they'll fix that after they get it cleaned up.

Apparently the hold up with why it wasn't done yesterday was that when they went to align it, they couldn't get it to come out exactly right. They'd already replaced all the visible damage to the suspension, but they started investigating and the tie rod was slightly bent too. They weren't able to locate any in stock locally, but ordered one to be delivered overnight... so hopefully I'll have it back this afternoon.

As you are a Minister (Children's Pastor to be exact), you are a big influence in many children's lives. You are more than welcome here.

I hope you come back and join us.

Good Morning!

way behind. Can't believe it's Wednesday already. Can't believe we're halfway through May already. I think it's time for a Ticker, because we're now 74 days from our trip!! :cool1:

Hope everyone is well!

Did you find anything in the grass? Lost baseballs, frisbees, kids, another tractor? :confused3:rotfl2:

I hope they were considerate enough to not leave the steaming pile right on your desk.

Need help spending it? I have a couple of college funds in serious need of donations.

Have a great trip. I have been busy planning our staycation next week. I am going to take them to see the Avengers, Evansville zoo, Louisville zoo, a stop to my parents, and then a did dad meet. It is not as fun as a WDW trip, but it is what I have at the moment.

Avengers is well worth it...I'm waiting for a former student to get home for the summer and then we'll be going to see it. I went with a group of them to see Thor last Summer so we are continuing the tradition of attending Marvel movies together.

We love to visit zoos and have enjoyed those in Cleveland and Jacksonville. Tampa was not as enjoyable.

:cool1: Just came back from AAA, booked a 2nd WDW trip for Nov 4-10:banana: Tonight I have to do ALL the ADR's and other events (I'm under the 180 mark so every minute counts:rolleyes1) , Now I got the full plate planning 2 trips back to back:worship:

Me too, but I can't figure out how to get USDA money into an offshore account.
