Good Morning!!

Morning David.

Morning everyone. Gonna be busy today. DW and DS birthdays today. Full workload today.

Missed a couple of pages.

If anyone was on the LAST POST thread it is now closed. The Moderator was the last post. Otherwise it was katoot.

We made it to page 347 before being shut down.

Happy Birthday to your DW and DS!! (how come Randall wasn't on top of that one? :confused3)

Good morning, guys! Up since 4am with another storm. DW & I have a bit of PTSD from the last storm....
Fifty MPH winds. Both the light-up snowman and dog were blown over.....but the gnomes stayed up!

On the Trip Planning Front, I'm finished with my planning for my surprise trip to WDW with the DW. I plan to give it to her for Christmas. Although the hospital is paying for the hotel & my airfare so I'm hoping she "counts" it as a present! And thanks to Mark for getting me the room at the Yacht Club! Too bad the hospital wouldn't pay for free dining...:confused3

And thanks for the advice on the Driving Experience! That's her birthday present (this weekend). Will let you know how it goes. I've told all the kids. They are really enjoying teasing her with the secret! :woohoo:

Those winds put a beating on a few of my decorations as well. No major damage thankfully.

Now that made me laugh this morning!!!!! Gettin ready to head out to be induced!!:rotfl2: I will try to post later on today if I can or on facebook!!

GOOD LUCK! :thumbsup2

Walking into Dulles Airport this morning, I was greeted with the smell of BACON!

That is an auspicious beginning to a day which will end in Orlando.

I LOVE the smell of Bacon in the... well, anytime of day!!

Has any one heard form Dave recently?

His last post wasn't the one with the picture of that huge hole in the ground, was it? :scared1:

FYI... for those who are using Picasa Web Albums to host pics, the "Link to this photo" tool is not working correctly. It is adding an extra /S512 to the URL, thus causing the link to be invalid. Remove the extra stuff and the link works again.

I always right-click on the pic in picasa, and choose properties and then copy the link from there.

Would it help if I said that I had Manning last year? And that he carried my team to the Inaugural Dole Whip Cup Championship?

It wouldn't? Oh, well, sorry about that. :lmao:

Peyton Manning is still going to be okay for the Oreo championship, right? :confused3

Heck I dont care....we are all guys :rotfl2:...I talked to anesthesia today and I made it perfectly clear that I was to be out cold before any of the blankets came off!!!:rotfl2: Then they are going to take the most unthinkable route with scopes and lasers into my bladder and right ureter!!! Hopefully the stone will come out without a fight!!! I have to be there at 845 am and scheduled for 1045...we shall see!!!

Pictures or it didn't happen.... Wait a second. Scratch that idea...

Man you just reminded me of Roscoe P Coltrane!

I was thinking more along the lines of Cletus.

Do any of you guys have trip reports or photos from Vero Beach and/or Hilton Head? I think I have the DW leaning towards a much more serious look at DVC, but part of the deal for her is the other options. She would want to incorporate off years at other DVC locations.

Any reviews and feedback on those locaions would be appreciated.

Thanks

I’ve decided to go ahead and get started on my Non-Disney TR about our trip up to NY to be part of the Macy’s Parade. This also mans that I’ll be trying to keep up with two at once (being as there are still a couple of days left to discuss on the current one). We’ll see if I can pull this off.

You can find it here (in our forum) if you’re interested…

A Thanksgiving Odyssey
(Bands, Buses, and Big Bad Balloons)

...and you wont hurt my feeling if you're not interested
(but… you’ll be passing up an opportunity to give me a whole lot of grief).

I also promise that after this, I won’t discuses the topic on this thread

(unless one of you foolishly asks me a question about it first…
in which case it’d be your fault).

It's not my friend Allison, is it? For the money laundering in the Caymans? Because if it is, can you give me a heads up so I can set up a folding chair on her lawn and crack open a few colds ones and watch?
Doesn't sound like you're very good friends. And if you are good friends, I probably wouldn't want to admit it.:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Just got a call from Steve. He's going under the knife now. God Bless, buddy! We're all counting on you! :thumbsup2
:scared1: :headache: Under the knife??? Did you really have to say it that way?

I know. I had a doc appointment this morning and they could not get any blood out of my arm. I feel like a dart board in a room full of drunks.
No, I think you mean you feel like the wall behind the dart board in a room full of drunks.:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Click the Thanksgiving TR in my sig. The first page has some pics and thoughts about Vero. You may want to skip the part of our travel mishaps getting there. Like Vero, very relaxing.

Hope you aren't planning on drinking MY beer.:rolleyes:

STEVE- Good Luck. I hope it comes out OK!

Hey all. Hope everyone's having a great day.

Anyone every given a Disney trip as a Christmas present for their kids? If so, how did you "surprise" them with it? DD is almost 4, talks about going back all the time, and has no idea we're going to take her in less than a month; We are going to surprise her with a Christmas gift letting her know, so I'm looking for some cool/inventive ideas... Anyone? :confused3

Thanks guys :thumbsup2

Paul,

We're going through the same type of thing. We want to surprise our girls (4 and 2) with our trip in April.

We don't know when or how we want to do it. My DW and I talked about possibly just waiting until we're off the plane and getting on Magical Express and tell them we're spending a week there.

But part of me wants to tell them before hand so that we have time to prepare them for what they will experience as they've only spent day trips to MK with a short stop at EP one year.

My girls also talk about going back to Disney world all the time. And because we've taken day trips there each year over our Spring Break vacation - I think it's almost assumed (atleast by my oldest) that we'd be going back.

So .....I feel your pain as to what the correct thing/way to do it is!

We did it with a variation on a scavenger hunt where we had our son start with one picture clue that led him to the next and so on until he got to one that gave up the secret.

Rather then taking up space here, you can see the details of it (if you’re interested) in “Chapter-1 / Part-3: Surprise, Surprise, Surprise…” at the top of page 3 in my current TR.

Here’s a quick link: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2760910&page=3

Scroll on down to “Surprise #3” if you don’t want to worry yourself with the rest of that post.

I wish I had the discipline you guys do. As soon as I start thinking about booking a trip, I'm talking about it with the kids. I'll probably never be able to surprise them.:sad2:

Just thought I'd let you guys know that aren't on Facebook -

On a chance meeting - Chris (stopher1) and Aaron (AJRitz) just ran into each other down at WDW at Pop Century!

So cool!

Chris got a picture for proof - said he will post when he's able to get it off of his camera!

:thumbsup2

Awesome!

Hey, I just "herd" from Steve:

"It is over. Already discharged. Stone gone. No stent. No litho. Feels like I'm peeing razor blades. Lol"
