Actually I got off the ship this morning. It was very, very nice. The jet ski on Cococay was my favorite part. Now I'm trying to figure out where the next one will be. But that one will definitely include my DW - perhaps as an anniversary gift in the spring. Not sure yet, but I put the deposit down for a "future cruise" - so now I have to use my TA magic and turn that deposit into something cool.

I thoroughly enjoyed this Eco Tour on Castaway Cay the first time I did it. The second time was not quite as enjoyable as I had convinced DW and the DD's to do it also, DD7 (at the time) with me and DD12 with DW. Somehow DW ended up in the water, we lost my wallet, her glasses (or maybe DD's glasses), it took forever to get DW onto a jet ski. She thought she was going to drown. She ended up getting on the back of the guide's, the other guide had brought the rest of the group back and then came to get DD. She still gets mad at me for this.

Otherwise - that's so very cool that you guys met up. I live in the same metro area as Andy, and we haven't even made time to meet up yet. Very cool for you Brian - and you Andy.

Just booked three days at the DVC Disney California as an add on to the Hawaii trip. In a month, I burned through the few 2011 points that were left, all of 2012 points and two from 2013. First time I don't have points for the upcoming year. Oh well, a once in a lifetime tip. And I can always borrow. Airfare and diving add on need to be booked and paid for. Have a few months to for those.

this will be me in 4 years. Aulani with DL for the very first time. I am imagining we may have to forego trips in either 2014 or 2016 (or both?)in order to bank/borrow points to make it happen. But like you said, it's a once in a lifetime trip. I can't wait to hear about yours.

Ok....funny story....

You remember me talking about the unknown charges that showed up on my wife's debit card?

Yeah....turns out my sister-in-law somehow had my wife's card number on file for her amazon account and thought it was one of hers. So here she was, shopping on my wife's dime!

I told her I didn't know we had a personal shopper!

Are you pressing charges? Was your SIL buying things FOR you or your DW using your own money??

Awesome news. That is one of my must dos. First, it is the cruise in 2013. I'm thinking Aulani Resort will be after I boot the dds out of the house and it is just DW and I.

Throwing mine out next year so this is my parting gift to her.

Yeah....turns out my sister-in-law somehow had my wife's card number on file for her amazon account and thought it was one of hers. So here she was, shopping on my wife's dime!

Thanks for the comment on the TRs. A pain to do but great to revisit when I have those not going to Disney blues. Will have to economize on points for the next year but no big deal. Still have points banked from 2010 that I need to use before May. Can’t wait till this trip though and worth blowing all my points.

You will love the Grand Californian! It is truly incredible. And you absolutely cannot beat the park proximity. Very cool that you are going to Hawaii. I'm headed there myself in January. Cannot wait. Now I'm trying to figure out if I'll be adding some DL days before or after. Decisions, decisions.

We decided to add after Hawaii. Have a great time and place a reserved sign at a chair by the pool for me. Will be looking at our Disneyland board before the trip. Especially interested in Carsland. Bought three books on touring Hawaii including one on diving. Got to get prepared.

Breaking News: Dolphins fire Head Coach Tony Sporano. But and a big but is they keep GM Jeff Ireland. WHAT? This is the bozo brought in by Parcells and has had unbelievably bad drafts since he got here. Pat White, John Beck, Chad Henne? Not sure how many of his draft picks are even on the team anymore. Even if he had the first pick this year he would draft a offensive lineman from Podunk U. Glad I gave up season tickets years ago.

Having a "different kind of day".

Just very stressed over a lot of things. Now, DS has decided he no longer wants to take naps. He's been asleep twice today, both times in the car when I dropped DD off at preschool, and when I picked her up. I have a list of things a mile long that need to be done but I'm struggling to get to any of it. The bad part is that my frustration is showing and I have nowhere to direct it. I had to walk away from the kids for a minute or two... I figured maybe if I just typed it out, I might see how ridiculous it sounds and calm down a bit.

deep breaths... counting to ten... going back in.

Wow thats pretty young to stop (your sig says 8 mos?,but that gets out of date real quick) teething maybe? My DS has tried stopping at home before we left but he is going to be 3. after a week at WDW he is back on track but let's see how he does next week. We come home tomorrow.

What?!? No hot tub? Not sure if Parc Soleil has a hot tub, but I'll report back after reconnaissance

Ok fellow dads I am back and should be around pretty steady for atlleast the next two years as I plan my 2013 cruise and WDW visit. Is it too early to get started?
Where have I been...well living life and taking care of my family the best way I know how. We had originally planned a return to Florida this year, but a little event called Wrestlemania 27 came up in my original homestate and I wasn't missing that.
For those that don't know me my name is Wally. I am a dad of 5, but only my 2 daughters live with me and my wonderful wife. My oldest daughter is now 20 and driving me out of my mind at the moment. My youngest daughter is 18 and has calmed down a bit. I did a TR back in 2007 and they were just kids then. I live in Japan and my home park is Tokyo disney Resort. If you dad's ever need help with anything on this side of the ocean then I am the one to give a shout to.
Now I can't remember the last I posted on a DDC forum, but I think it was before I bought my new house.
I will say this year has been rough since March 11th here in Japan. Scared the peanut butter out of me that day I can tell you that. Things are still not back to normal...in fact I couldn't illuminate the house for Christmas this year because of the earthquake back in March, but hey there is next year. Anyway it feels good to be back and expect more in the near future.

Wow Christopher - you get around...

While I did have fun while there, and enjoyed numerous attractions, a) I was solo, so none of the usual waiting around for others to decide anything stuff, and b) it was not a "pleasure" trip but rather a working "research" trip. I had very specific things on my agenda, and had to keep going. I did throw in some fun "just because" stuff, and did a few new things that were quite fun along the way. I had honestly never been to the Hoop Dee Doo before, and that was just plain fun. Definitely on the must-do list for the next family trip. I also enjoyed MVMCP, though there was a bit of research in that as well - but it was fun for the most part. Quite warm this year vs. last year. Shorts & t-shirt - no jacket needed. The cocoa was nice, but not necessary at all.
