Just booked three days at the DVC Disney California as an add on to the Hawaii trip. In a month, I burned through the few 2011 points that were left, all of 2012 points and two from 2013. First time I don't have points for the upcoming year. Oh well, a once in a lifetime tip. And I can always borrow. Airfare and diving add on need to be booked and paid for. Have a few months to for those.

Super excited.

If you need some points, let me know and we see if we can work something out. You have such awesome TR that I would hate to miss one just because you are out of points. You guys will love VGC, it is great having a private entrance to DCA.

I'm at Hilton Head tonight. So far I am really enjoying this resort. Can't wait to explore more by daylight. Man oh man, that hot tub is the biggest one I've seen yet of any of the resorts. I thought the Grand Californian's was big... not even close to this one. I got some great night time shots (at least until I see them on the computer). But I can't upload them just yet... getting some other stuff done first. But I'll put together a few pics of my week soon enough.

Hey guys, I wanted to share this with you. I mentioned earlier in this thread that we had a cast member come to our recue while we were staying at Kidani. I sent an email and wrote a letter explaining the situation and asked that Robin, from engineering, be recognized for his help.

I just got a call from Robin's boss! He said he was really pleased to hear that a cast member went above and beyond. Normally he said they only hear the bad (I think we all know that), but it is really refreshing when someone wants a cast member recognized. He said that they have programs within Disney to recognize superior service. He said that my letter and email have been forwarded to the department heads that cover their area.

This has nothing to do with me, I am just glad that an exceptional person will get recognized for helping someone and doing it with care and a smile.

It IS always nice to give praise when it is due, and yes, it IS nice that it was acknowledged and appreciated. The recognition program is a good one, and I always encourage people to submit praise when appropriate. I do it myself, and have spoken with many CM's who have benefited from such acknowledgement. Good job David!

We had a great time on this too short trip. Went to the WDW Today Reunion CoP meet and the Dis WWoHP event. Harry was really fun. We went on the ride three times in a row. The kids did the dueling dragons four times in a row. The MK was nearly as empty. Multiple rides in a row on Splash and Big Thunder Saturday morning.

Sorry I missed you by such a short amount CJ, but very glad you had an enjoyable visit!

You will love the Grand Californian! It is truly incredible. And you absolutely cannot beat the park proximity. Very cool that you are going to Hawaii. I'm headed there myself in January. Cannot wait. Now I'm trying to figure out if I'll be adding some DL days before or after. Decisions, decisions.

Yeah....turns out my sister-in-law somehow had my wife's card number on file for her amazon account and thought it was one of hers. So here she was, shopping on my wife's dime!

Well, I guess that's about an inside job as you can get. Glad it wasn't a sinister, criminal plot.
