Ditto!

You should think about a trip in Dec. :rolleyes1

Elin,
Wow, thats alot of rain. stay dry & safe!

Janet,
Is that a new ticker I see??? Ok now everyone is going in December & I am getting the bug in my head too. Now to work on Dana!;)

Enjoy your vacation Tom!

I am on vacation from work this week to work on the lawn, and clean up the landscaping, but if this rain doesn't let up I don't know how much I will get done. I guess I could clean out the garage instead!

Hope everyone had a good day!

Evening everyone! Here's what my girlfriend and I worked on tonight! :teeth:

You are going to love DVC!!! There will be no stopping you then!!! :rotfl2:

So I have injured my back...and I can barely move....this is the pits. I have taken every imaginable drug and have gotten no relief!

:wizard: :wizard: I hope it heals as fast as it appeared

I had an unusual, but lovely Mother's Day too. I slept in (close your dropped jaws, everyone) and had kolache for breakfast. We have a new Czech bakery in our area so Kristin and I stopped there on our way home yesterday. Pretty close to what my MIL makes!

Kathrin called and we talked and when Kristin woke up we went to VA Runner and were both fitted for new running shoes. I have about worn mine out over the past year so it was past time. I got a pair of Nike's much like the ones I already had, but these have the coolest innovation...

Under the insole of the left shoe is a small removable oval foam insert. You replace it with this:

and then you put your iPod Nano in this armband:

Then you choose the kind of workout you want, the music you wish to walk/run to and start. It will monitor progress and give spoken feedback! Progress can be logged in at www.nikeplus.com

I hope the weather improves soon because I want to play with my shoes.

It reminds me of the sneakers on Icarly. Of course those caught fire when they got wet

I just wanted to pop in for a minute and wish everyone a Very Happy Mother's Day (before it's too late)

I hope everyone has had a wonderful day. I certainly have. The girls had already given me their presents from school earlier in the week when they brought them home so I got lots and lots of hugs and kisses. Nothing better than that :goodvibes

Emma's soccer team won their first game today, 3-2 :cool1: :cool1: After the game we had everyone over for dinner. It went well but I am exhausted.

We are on flood watch as the water is inching closer and closer to our basement, it's gonna be a long night. Eric is worried that the winds will do more to cause flooding than the actual amount of rain itself. It is miserable here and I hope this rain stops soon.

Have a good evening and I will check back in tomorrow.

:wizard: Rain be gone. I hope the water doesn't reach your house.

Our flood watch has just been upgraded to a flood warning here. We have already had about 2 inches of rain here today and they are calling for another 2 inches by midnight!

Stay dry, Robyn!

:wizard: :wizard: I hope that you stay dry too.

I still don't know what we are going to do about DVC. Some of the terms aren't what I thought they would be. For one, the rep said we could pay out the maintenance fees on a monthly draft to Disney, but the contract says we owe the 2009 fees in full by 1-31-09. Hmm.
The other thing is the 10% up front. That was just ME not understanding correctly until we got the paperwork. But our hope was to get the down payment delayed until closer to closing so we wouldn't have to finance quite as much. All this does is delay our first payment on the loan.
And then there is the thing about the approval not being valid after 60 days and having to reapply later on. I guess those things are minor, but they are making me feel kind of squirmy about the purchase.

It seems you may be jumping in a little too quick. If you just started talking about it yesterday and you don't need it until next Spring, then why don't you watch the contracts awhile and do a bit more research until you become comfortable with the process. I'm afraid that if you buy now you may second guess the decision. We are totally happy with our purchase, but we tossed the idea around for years before we finally took the step to buy.

Those look wonderful. You're wedding will be perfect.

I just went down and checked the basement. The carpet is damp around an area that we had waterproofed several years ago. I guess I'm going to have to dig out the paperwork and call tomorrow. I believe there was a lifetime warranty that went with the waterproofing.

This is a short trip, Dec. 3rd - 8th with Chanon :cool1:

Flights were on sale for $94, plus I used the $25 off on 2 one way tickets for a total of $50 off. I told Gary how cheap the tickets would be, he said go for it, I called Chanon & well you know the rest :rotfl:

Are you going to MVMCP? We are thinking of going on the 4th. We will have to meet!

Who all is going? Just you and the boys? What are your dates? Where are you staying? Let's try to get together!

I worked a 10 hour shift. We were fairly busy though I only waited on 6 more people than I did last night :confused3 Tips were better :thumbsup2 I am absolutely exhausted now. The boys waited up for me to get home as they need to give me more Mother's Day Hugs and kisses before they went to sleep  Overall it was a good day. My schedule for next week even worked out so that I can make all 4 of the boys games and I didn't ask for any of those nights off, it just was meant to be. I should have another good week :thumbsup2

Tammi I hope you do not get to much water damage!

I have to admit that I had to Google "iCarly" since my youngest child is 21. :rotfl2: But I think I will probably wait a while for our roads to dry up before I head out in these new shoes. Thanks for the warning, Deb. ;)

How fun! Yes, I'm thinking the 4th too. Either that or the 2nd, which is Nicholas' bday.

Oh, I hope you stay drier than it appears, Tammi.

Deb - I am glad you got two good nights of work in with good tips.

Very nice job Chanon!

Chanon, those turned out really nice!

Ick! Good luck getting it resealed!

Deb - Glad your night at work went OK!
We thought REALLY seriously about DVC after we came home last summer. I talked with Jamie at the Timeshare Store, she sent me a bunch of info, and she has been e-mailing me the properties ever since. Then last night out of the blue DH started talking about it. I think we're getting closer, but I still don't think this is "it" for us. Hopefully the Timeshare Store folks won't be too angry when I tell them this isn't going to work out this time.:scared:

Today was interesting around here as well. When I left for work this morning the rain was coming down pretty good & the wind was blowing really hard. I was at work maybe 15 minutes & Gary called to say that one of our big trees in the backyard was uprooted & fell on our fence & was laying in our neighbors driveway  So we had some guys come over & cut up the tree & they will haul it away Thursday. I am just glad it did not fall on our house!

Gary & Riley brought me flowers to work, a nice arrangement of Daisies  After work we went over to Gary's mothers & the wind died down enough for us to be able to cook out.

Best of all I get to go to Disney in Dec. again :woohoo: What a wonderful Mothers Day Gift :goodvibes
