Katrina spent many years with upset stomachs day after day. It is something that became part of our lives. She spent a lot of time in the nurses office. The nurse knew that it was stress related so helped where she could.

  I'm so sorry to hear this. Nick spent all of 3rd grade with that same tummy ache. It wasn't even that he didn't like his teacher, but he just didn't mesh with her teaching style. Of course we didn't figure it out until the next year when he had an older woman for a teacher and he excelled. He needs strict guidlines and lots of nurturing. I hope that you can get to the bottom of it as it will come up again if you can't put your finger on it

Robyn - for Emma and for you as you work it out

Poor Emma, sorry to hear she is having such a rough time. Hope you & Eric can help her get through this

 I am so sorry Emma is having a rough time! I hope the counselor can talk with her and help her feel better!
Do you think she would like to do a countdown to the last day, or would that make things worse? I tell DS all the time how many days are left. 22 days isn't bad at all. Except that he has at least 2 big projects to complete and he is just sort of "coasting" already. He is ready for summer.

Vicki - What is PhotoImpact? I found some sort of editing thing that is a built-in part of the Windows Photo Gallery, and my laptop has Picasa 2 on it. I told DH we aren't buying photo software.

I had the weirdest dream about DS. Now I am WIDE awake. I was at WDW with him, and we were riding BTMRR. The CM said we (our whole train) had been chosen for the extended version with bonus features. The "bonus" was that it went upside down! :upsidedow The ride kept stopping so they could talk about how each section was developed. There was a phone in each seat, so DS picked up the phone to call DH. I got mad because there was a HUGE charge to use the phones. The CM assured me that the phones were set to only make calls within California, so it was fine. Then she had DS move across to a "special" seat. At the next stop they drenched him with water. :scared1: He was soaked! He was angry and freezing and humiliated, and I felt like it was my fault. The CM saw how upset he was and radioed for someone to have a dry shirt for him at the end of the ride. I told him we would go back to the hotel so he could change and have some lunch, then I woke up. Bizarre.

I think the guidance counselor is a great idea. :wizard: Does she have a permanent sub or is it someone different everyday?

Thanks everyone!

It is frustrating and heartbreaking and maddening all at the same time. Eric has very little patience for the crying so when she starts, which is quite often, he gets irritated. I am very emotional and cry at the drop of a hat so it tends not to bother me. She "knows" that it will be ok but can't seem to accept it. She does not handle change well, she had a fit in kindergarten when I was out of town for a week and her teacher was out for one day. The other kindergarten teacher allowed her to go to her class that day to help her get through the day.

Deb, the nurse and I spend a lot of time on phone. I am sure that she knows our number by memory.

Elizabeth, I think the countdown idea is wonderful idea. We will work on that today.

Tammi, originally they had random substitutes as the teacher was gone because her grandmother died, this was the week of Easter. The day before she was to come back she fractured her ankle and was thought to be out just another week so they kept the random subs. About 2 weeks ago one of the subs agreed to take on the class permanently but she has completely changed the classroom routine to her style, which I think is the main cause of the issues. It's the end of the school year so changing routines is not a smart idea in my book.

Thank you Robyn!

Have fun trying to keep the secret :ssst:

She is going to be thrilled. She loves Uncle Joe and she'll get to see Tut so life will be good.

Elizabeth you have very vivid dreams :rotfl:

Thank you Stephanie! How is the grandbaby doing?

Robyn I agree, the sub should have not changed everything. This late in the year everyone is use to a certain routine. :wizard: for Emma!

I spent alot of time in the nurses' office when i was in school...it started after i had my first surgery--i remember calling home alot to go home because i was upset...

I think the guidance counselor is a great idea. :wizard: Does she have a permanent sub or is it someone different everyday?
i think that is a great idea....but i do not agree with the sub that changing the routine was a good idea..those kids have had enough things changed, the routine should be stable

Yes, Elizabeth. That is bizarre. But you might want to give Imagineering a call. ;) :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

IMHO I don't like the color under the dress. Sorry...:confused3
If I had to pick any for your colors I would go with peach. The brown would be too dark I think.

Anne Marie,

I am loving the pictures. You can send the whole bunch to me.

I am really getting so very excited about the cruise part of our trip. DECEMBER is toooooo far away!!!!!
Will do! You & Stephanie are going to have a great time!

Speaking of babies, Bob's sister Julie is pregnant with the first princess: the family has had since her!
Congratulations!!!!!!!

Well I got bored with the Disney show quick, only watched 20 minutes.
Ditto!

I took a 2 1/2 hour nap after works today, I will probably be up all night now. But I am officially off work till I return from my trip :cool1:

Gary's face is still swollen some, hopefully it will go down soon. I still have my head cold, but I am hopeful that come Monday I will feel almost 100% :thumbsup2
:wizard: for you both! Your trip is almost here!!!

I told Bob at dinner tonight that you've made me want to go on a Disney cruise! He didn't reject the notion!
It would be my pleasure to enable to you in any way!:lmao: No seriously, any questions you have I would be glad to answer. I found planning the cruise to be a very daunting task. However everything went smoothly & like I said 2 rooms is the way to go for a family of 5.

Well we found out today that Emma's teacher will be out until the first week of June, which happens to be the last week of school.
I am sorry to hear this..the poor little thing. I swear it hurts more when our kids are hurting than it does we ourselves are hurting. I hope the counselor can be of some help.:hug:
