I just saw this on Food Network. I decided to Google it. It only costs $35 to register! And LOOK at all the incredible STUFF! As far as I can tell you can SAY you are a buyer without having to PROVE it. I can say I own vending machines - who are they to argue?

I went to the restaurant expo there and it was really cool...

I was just telling DH about this and he absolutely does not get it. He kept looking at me all weird and asking me why I would want to go to such a thing. HELLO? CANDY! And snacks! THREE DAYS of candy and snacks for $35! Plus seminars about trends in chocolate, organic chocolates, marketing strategies for chocolate - it would be FUN!

Of course I have no vacation days left so I can't really take off for 3 working days in the middle of May. But we can all sort of keep it in mind for future reference.

Guess what I have been doing? Crunching numbers for free dining!

IF free dining starts 8/10 and IF they will allow DxDDP for the difference in the cost of the plan then that would actually save us money! Sort of. On straight cost we would be paying about the same as OOP, but more food would be included. The park passes would cost extra but it's not like we wouldn't have to buy park passes at some point anyway.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it! For now.

I know I have been feeling a little out of sorts lately too. I "might" be able to add a ticker soon! We just really need a good Disney fix! Hoping to iron out some details in a couple of weeks!

So..today at lunch, my grandma said that she wants to take us (my mom, dad, brother, and I ) on an Alaskan cruise in two months for a week. This is something that she and my grandpa did and she wants us to go with her.

Well, i cant go and she is crushed. I have a week in for vacation in July and I took off a week in January for afamily cruise.
We have to book within 2 weeks and I wont know if i have a job for the fall by then. If i knew i had a job, no problem--i would be taking off for the summer so I wouldnt have to worry about the July trip.

I just feel bad for my grandma--It would be a free trip for me and quite possibly the last trip to take with my grandma..So i just feel guilty

I just had to vent and hope that venting made me feel less guilty!

Bernadette - The first 2 years they offered free dining we missed it by a day or 2 so that certainly wouldn't be anything new. I do not EXPECT it to start mid-month. My sincere feeling is that it won't start until 8/24 at the earliest, possibly not until 8/31. If we miss the dates then I will certainly have less to debate about!
For it to be advantageous there are a lot of things that have to line up, so not only would it need to be offered for our dates, it would need to be offered at AKL with the option of paying the difference between plain and Deluxe DDP. So we'll see. I am glad I don't have my whole trip hinged on free dining - I am cool with it or without it! See Codes and Rates for lots of people who are NOT cool either way!

Tom - Good luck putting a trip together! I looked very briefly at DL and gave up. We don't have a burning desire to go there so we'll probably stick to WDW.

Jen - I hope you can figure out something for the cruise!

Bernadette - thanks for more F&GF pics! Everything looks so beautiful. All of our grass around here is still dead, although some heartier plants are starting to come back.

Elizabeth - that candy expo sounds amazing! That sounds like a much better deal than any Disney dining - free or not! Good luck with your latest analysis! If I were a betting woman, I'm guessing it won't happen until LATE August - maybe even just a few weeks in Sept. It's good that you'll be okay with it, either way.

Tom - Leighanna looked adorable as always! Was that a Tom custom creation she was wearing? I hope, hope, hope we'll get to see a ticker for you soon!

It has been a good day here - kind of quiet - just church, lunch, and then watching college basketball/napping. Hope everyone else is enjoying their days, too!

Lindsay - Sounds like a good day!
I did get a nap, which was nice since I am still not feeling well.
DH had to make a little wooden derby car like he used to make when he and DS were in Y Guides. It is some thing they are doing at work. He was really irritated that he had to do it because it is VERY time consuming. It also required power tools, which he had to go dig out of the closet on the balcony. I told him to just go grab one of the finished ones out of DS's room, but the car in this kit is smaller than the ones we already have. It is finished now.

the azaleas are in bloom so I thought I would share a little Spring with my friends who haven't seen it yet, hang in there, it's on it's way,

So is it just me who gets irritated at just about every "family" function?

I just need to suck it up and let it go, but I think I have steam coming from my ears!

im almost in tears here. i have the window open and there is this precious little kitty outside on the window sill crying for some food. its so skinny and i wanna feed it and take it to a cat rescue on wednesday but my parents are against it. so i hope she(i think its a she) comes back monday and tuesday and wednesday so i can take her. i dont wanna take her to the vet im afraid that they might put her down and also the spca. she is sooo friendly. i have named her elphy. lol i took a picture of her i will post when i receive it. sent it from my phone. i kinda see her as a comfort because she is silky black like shocker and has beautiful yellow green eyes.

We had a great visit with Kristin as well as a yummy meal, even if I say so myself!

Her scene for her Acting for the Camera class that will be filmed tomorrow is learned and she opnly has the lats act of "Merchant of Venice" to finish tonight/tomorrow a.m. I believe she's got it!

When we got off I-95 on the way home, traffic was at a dead standstill just north of that exit. But am I glad we got off then! I pity those on I-95 from Fredericksburg northward!

Debbie - Nope, you aren't the only one! Now that it is just the 3 of us I don't get as stressed out, but when we used to try to get together with my parents and my sisters things usually got out of hand and somebody would end up mad.
