DDA Chapter 5

I'm headed to bed. Dad will be here early to help me put another coat of paint on Hunter's walls. Good night.

I'm not a very good scrapbooker either, but I did a scrapbook page for each character. The computer page that I had the character sign is on the right hand page and the scrapbook page with the character photo is on the left hand page.

I have never scrapbooked so it will be interesting. I need to start printing the autograph pages we are going to use.

I also need to figure out what I am putting in our fun books and get them printed.

I guess I need to make a list.;)

sounds like a good day all around.

Thankfully I wasn't too sick...I am happy to say it just seems to be an IBS episode. (who knew I would be happy for that:confused3 :rotfl2: )

We went to church and then over to my grandparent's....once again something went wrong...but it was still okay. We came home and napped for a little bit and then the girls colored eggs (with colored pencils) and we peeps jousted....we are going to try again tomorrow to see if the game changes with dried peeps. We watched Enchanted and decided to use our gift cards tomorrow at Applebee's.

During Enchanted we were all watching for the references to other Disney stuff. That was fun.

I have tommorow off and the girls and I are going to try and clean the house....and I want to download some pictures...Abi is now taller than me if she is in a little bit of heels:scared1:

Jen- I would try every way possible to go. You never know how long you have with someone. When you go, do not be surprised if you are the youngest people on the ship.

Jennifer- Great pictures, your Mom looks like one of my Volunteers

Great pictures everyone else, hope you all had a Happy Easter

Texans; but any of you can give your opinion. My neighbor has been asked to help cater an upscale pig roast/ steamship Round of beef event for a 175th anniversary celebration. The person coordinating is from Texas and says they have Black Tie Pig Roasts all the time.

My neighbor created a list of potential sides, which several people he talked to consider upscale. The guy coordinating did not think these things were what he was looking for. But he had no idea what he wanted. Do any of you have any experience with these events? What types of sides do they serve at a Black Tie Pig Roast? Thank you for your help!

My thought was like baked beans, corn on the cob, smashed potatoes, Texas toast, Mac and cheese, etc but I do not consider this stuff upscale. What are your thoughts?

We went to my Grandmas's their were 14 people there. Came home for a short period of time and went over to my neighbor's they always have a big Easter party. There were about 50 people, about half were kids. They have an egg hunt and the kids just play.

So I couldn't say it better than what I posted on my blog, so I'll copy it here for you -- and then give you the a photo or two you've been whining for, although I refuse to succumb to the traditional, boring (IMO), posed "belly shot". ;)

ETA: That didn't make any sense to me. The entry is here if you want to see them.

loved it, Jennifer!

My coteacher just called about something else (shes also one of my best friends!) and i chatted with her about it. She said she thinks I should go for it,,just take the week and enjoy it--they have subs to cover for me and she thinks it will be a mistake if i dont go

So im going to go in early tomrorowa nd were going to look at the calender and see...so there may be a chance after all!

I was glad to read this today, Jen. I wondered about the possibility of subs. And, if it is at all possible, I think you should try to make it work. Good luck!

Marci - I am happy that you are working from home today! More time with the boys and more time to feel better. :goodvibes

Deb - the Easter treasure hunt and Easter pictures were terrific! And I like the red in Hunter's room.

Anyway we played Wii bowling. My brother was hilarious. When it was his turn he came out wearing his bowling shoes with a hand towel and talc :rotfl2:

I also gave everyone their July 4th shirts. They LOVED them. I cannot tell you how many times my DM has mentioned how much she likes them :thumbsup2

You should have taken pictures! I knew they would like their shirts... I am glad they all told you so!

My trip here as been great. I leave early in the morning, pick Becky up in Lansing and then head back to the U.P.

I was hoping to see Chanon but with the late arrival on Saturday that just isn't going to work out. Bummer!

My sister & I went shopping yesterday afternoon. Mom had wanted my sister to help me pick out a couple of outfits. I say no way at least 7 times. Somehow, my sister still ended up getting me to try on clothes and I ended up with $400 of clothes from Marshall's at my mother's expense! There's a long story behind it so I'll share after I get home.

Happy Easter DDA and have a great Monday.

I'm glad you had a good time, Vicki! Can't wait to hear the story of the clothes shopping trip. Safe travels home today for you and Becky.

me! Have you tied your IBS attacks to stress in your life yet? I have trigger foods, but usually 5-6 weeks following a very stressful time I will get one. But I would rather have one of those than be sick! ::yes::

I look forward to your pictures, Theresa.

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

You are all sleepy-heads today! Or hard at work, like Deb... ;)

You look great :thumbsup2 I can't believe that 2 babies fit in there :goodvibes I'm sure I was much bigger at this point when I just had one in there :lmao:

I got the email, and will check it out as soon as i'm done here -- thanks!

As for me, I have no clue what is going on! :rotfl: The babies are growing, my uterus is obviously growing (still measuring 8+ weeks ahead (about 32 weeks). Basing my theory on genetics, I had prepared myself for the worst -- especially with a twin pregnancy! :faint: My entire family of women blows up like giant balloons when pregnant. We ALL "hate" those women who are all belly/all baby. I guarantee you, we're still waiting for me to wake up tripled in size.... but I'll take just this belly while it lasts! ;) Thank you for the compliment!

We had a wonderful albeit busy day. First the kids had to find their Easter baskets as the EB always hides them ;) Hunter had trouble finding his, but he did find it in the end. Then we got the kids dressed and Chris kept them busy while I hid the treasure chests and all the clues. They were so anxious to get moving.

Deb, what a fun day! You guys put so much effort into that hunt, and it's obvious the boys just loved it! The Easter Bunny still hides all of our baskets and eggs, too -- I love it, Kyle... not so much ;)

I'm so glad your afternoon with your family was great as well! :goodvibes

Thanks for checking in and letting us know you made it ok! Drive safely on the way back! :wizard:

loved it, Jennifer!

Thanks! :goodvibes

I look forward to your pictures, Theresa.

And I hope both of you are taking fiber, fiber and more FIBER! We've found that, regardless of triggers for IBS, getting the recommended amount of fiber each day (Benefiber is my favorite trick -- no flavor, no grit, nothing -- add it to whatever you want!) is what really helps my family.

Teresa, I'm glad you weren't really sick! :yay:

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

You are all sleepy-heads today! Or hard at work, like Deb... ;)

The first! :rotfl:

After being so tired when I posted last night at 9:30ish, I stayed up and watched a movie with Kyle (or, rather, fell asleep on and off while he watched a movie). I didn't really make it to bed until after midnight, and without a nap, that's LATE for me lately! :teeth:

I did get up by about 6:30, but lied in bed reading for about an hour. I love vacation! :cloud9:

Deb, thanks for the email! I got myself a pair of Crocs Alice for this summer. I really wanted the Malindi's, but they didn't have my size in anything but Mango :)

I also got Kyle's and my mom's birthday presents! :thumbsup2

Good morning :)

Jen I hope you are able to take the time off for the cruise with your grandmother :wizard:

Tom what a cute picture of Leighanna!

Deb looks like the boys had fun finding their treasure chests.

Debbie love the Easter picture you posted.

Marci hope you are able to relax a little today.

Theresa glad to hear you are feeling better.

Karen hope the kitty can find a good home

Becky I like your menu ideas, good luck!

For anyone that was thinking about the Owners Lockers, this is from the Mousesavers newsletter:

Fantastic Exclusive Offer When You Join Owner’s Locker!

Owner’s Locker is a relatively new service in Orlando that allows you to store your vacation gear between visits, which means less packing, less hassles, less hauling and less stress.

Owner's Locker provides you with a container to store personal items that you regularly use when vacationing at Walt Disney World, such as toiletries, an air bed, a water filter, your favorite liquor -- just about anything that makes your stay more pleasant.

Owner's Locker picks the container up from your resort when you check out and stores it in a climate-controlled warehouse until you return. Here's the great part: Owner's Locker will have your container waiting for you at your resort’s bell stand when you come back!

Want to learn more or read my review of this service? Visit http://www.mousesavers.com/ownerslockerhotdeals.html

Here’s the deal:

I have negotiated an unprecedented, exclusive offer for MouseSavers Hot Deals readers only: sign up for Owner's Locker and receive $50 off the one-time Membership Fee, which includes your locker plus the initial delivery and pick-up. That's right, you can join for just $25* instead of the regular $75!

To get this special offer, simply visit http://www.OwnersLocker.com, click on the "Sign Up Now!" tab and select "I heard about it on MouseSavers" on the order form pull-down menu under “How did you hear about Owner’s Locker?” Then click on “Recalculate Order." The savings will appear onscreen.

This is a very limited-time offer. You must sign up between 3/24/08 and 3/26/08 to qualify.

Not traveling for awhile? No problem. Sign up now, get charged later! Owner’s Locker doesn’t charge you for the service until 30 days prior to check-in.

*The one-time Membership Fee is reduced from $75 (plus tax) to $25 (plus tax) for this offer. The reasonable annual fee of $99 for the Standard Annual Plan or $179 for Premium Annual Service still applies.

I love my Owner's Locker!!!

Kids are off the entire week....todays fun includes a trip to the dentist for all 3! :scared1:

Jonathan left at 3 pm yesterday....most like likely we won't see him until May for a very brief time before his internship starts.

Teresa, I'm glad you weren't really sick! :yay:

Lots of fiber here... I like Benefiber the best too. I have been dealing with this for about 21 years, so I know what to do and what not to do. What to do seems easier than what NOT to do!
