Sally - great pictures! Thanks for sharing.

Elizabeth - YAY for the lens, at such a great deal.

Denise - sounds like a good day.

Kirsta is 7 now, and it's probably the last year I'll get something frilly on her. She doesn't have much of a home wardrobe since she wears a uniform to school. I usually make Kirsta a calendar so she can X off the days. But she starts a month or so after we are home with "when are going to Disney?". In another year, Lexi will be 3, so I can still make frilly dresses.

Terra wants to know when we can start her countdown calendar. I told her we need to wait until a little closer than 275 days. :rotfl: I still have to answer the question daily though.

My grandmother did great in surgery. She came home today after the lumpectomy. They will not do any other treatment. The surgeon feels he got it all, but if not, then this is it. Everyone is very pleased with the decision. If he got it all, then he said it would be 5 to 10 years before it came back. She's 85, so that's not really an issue.

John went to the ENT and saw the doctor (not the PA) today. He scoped his sinuses, really listened to him. He diagnosed him with Ageusia, but it's very hard to find the cause. He put him on steroids as it may be inflamed and irriatated nerve endings. If it is the cause, John should see results within 7 days. If it doesn't help, then they will have to explore other possibilities. Thanks for the prayers.

So glad that your grandmother is home and doing okay. I hope that the doctor was successful, but either way I sounds like it's the best decision. She will continue to be in my prayers.

Good luck to John with the steroids. I hope they do the trick and have him back to normal soon. :wizard:

TGIF (even if it's almost over :rotfl: ) Things have been rather crazy/unsettled here the last few days. My routine has been blown out the door every day this week which just makes me  I can't function with out that routine. Pretty pathetic!

The funeral service and lunch afterwards was very nice. My uncle is just a doll. He refused to let my sister and I leave until we kissed him 3 times each. He is and always had been the biggest flirt. He says that my aunt would get mad at him for "kissing all the girls" so now he can do it freely. I told him she can still see what he is up to so he might want to remain on his best behavior. :goodvibes

We have had soccer practice, girl scouts and Eric's birthday was yesterday. His parents called and invited us all to dinner. As much as I dislike spending time with them it was nice. We used to go out all the time and this past year things have changed drastically. It seems like things are moving in the right direction.

Another of my great aunt's, Aunt Mil, (the only surviving sibling of the 7 brothers and sisters, my mom's dad was their brother.) has been staying with my parents. She flew up from Florida. I have tried to spend some time with her, something that I've never really done or had a chance to do so it's been nice. She along with my mom, sister, niece, cousin and aunt came over tonight. We had dinner and then played cards. A fun night.

Tomorrow we have family from my dad's side coming in for the day. They will be here from noon through the evening. We are very excited to see all of them. I fear that my Sunday we will be crashing. Thankfully nothing is on the calendar. I hope next week brings my routine back. Although with soccer and daylight savings I doubt it.

UGH, I had a huge recap post and it vanished. :sad2: :sad2: I don't have it in me to retype it. So 's and :wizard: to all.

One last thing- :welcome: Sally! I'm Robyn- SAHM (I babysit for 4 other kids as well during the week) to Emma-8, Molly-3 (soon to be 4), and Lucy- 8 months. I am married to Eric. My girls and I are Disney obsessed. Eric is too although he won't readily admit it.

Terra wants to know when we can start her countdown calendar. I told her we need to wait until a little closer than 275 days. :rotfl: I still have to answer the question daily though.

We started our that far out :rolleyes1 Colby loved to put a sticker on each day. We are down to 16 weeks now. I can't wait for the snow to melt so I can clean out our camper and start getting ready :rotfl:

Sally I have seen your creations on the boutique thread. You are very talented :thumbsup2

Jen have you made any progress on your WDW plans? How's the job hunt going?

Deb--resumes are out so now its a waiting game

As for WDW--we have to wait a couple weeks to get started on the planning..my cousin that is going with me,,her sister is getting married next weekend so shes a bit hectic..so after things settle down, i hope to finalize our plans!

have a great night all--nyquil is kicking in so its bedtime!

We are having totally weird weather. It was almost 70 today with severe thunderstorms, we were under a tornado warning at 8pm with damage to a few houses. Temp now is 62. But in 2 hours we go under a winter storm watch and snow warning for 3+ inches of snow and a high temp of the low 30's. Where I lived in Mississippi already has 6 inches on the ground, and my grandmother in Alabama has 5 inches. CRAZY!

Elizabeth - YAY for the lens, at such a great deal.

Denise - sounds like a good day.

Thanks!
What he got today was actually a flash. We still have to buy 2 lenses and a tripod. The one lens is about $100, the other one is about $200, so we'll see! The $200 seems like it would be limited to certain situations so we might just keep looking for one on EvilBay. DH will have to choose it and bid on it, though.

Robyn - Sounds like a crazy week, but it doesn't sound like it was all bad!

Jen - I hope you get some calls for interviews soon! :wizard:

Denise - That sounds like our weather this week!

Tia - At least one of our trips has started at 275ish days. I don't know if counting down from now would help make it more understandable for Terra or overwhelm her!

DH filled out the application for his promotion today, complete with essay questions! Then at dinner he said it might be good that we don't have his return airfare for August yet because he might have to change his schedule if he gets the job.:headache: I want him to have the job, but all of our plans are finished! I guess if he ends up not staying the full 16 nights I will go back to my original plan and move to Pop with DS after DH goes home.:confused3

Robyn, even though your week has been very hectic, it seems like it was really nice. I'm glad your to hear your uncle is up to flirting in this difficult time. Nice progress with the inlaws too! Enjoy your day tomorrow.

Thanks!

So I take it you have kissed and made up? ;) :thumbsup2

Tomorrow is Science Fair Board Completion Day. We went to Staples tonight and Nicholas picked out some bulletin board edging. I showed him your boards, Elizabeth, and he liked the one with the multi-colored edging. Set-up is Tuesday evening, so I want this done tomorrow so I can forget about it. Then I need to do laundry, go grocery shopping and get Alyssa's hair cut. She says she wants enough cut off so people notice and say "Oh, you got your hair cut!".

There was no kissing involved, but we are on speaking terms now.:rotfl2:

The multi-colored is my favorite, but they were out when I went to buy it last time so we ended up with the solid blue. Did you buy some scrapbook adhesive? That really is the best thing to stick paper to the board. It usually takes a couple of rolls for me to do the border and put the different print-outs on the colored backing, then to attach the backing to the board.
I would love to see pics of Alyssa's new 'do!
I need to do laundry and grocery shopping, too. DS is on Spring Break next week so he won't need to have a lunch packed every day since he'll be at work with me. We need stuff for dinner. And we need to pick up his other pair of glasses.

Although we are not dealing with snow and ice, we are also having some nasty weather. I am glad we went to Boston last weekend and not this one!

All you "snow-y and ice-y" folks be careful. Some of your weather reports look awful. Stay indoors and have a cup of hot chocolate and play board games with your families.

I am off to host the 11th annual Sonata Festival. I will check in with you all tonight. Have great days, everyone.

Denise, I'm thrilled that your grandmother did well, and you are all comfortable with what has been done at this point. I hope the lumpectomy gives her more time, and she stays comfortable!

:wizard: that the steroids help John.... that would be fantastic!

...

Are you bored already? The first on is of Lexi. She's alot bigger now. The rest are of Kirsta. My Disney version of the Poodle skirt, Dinner with Cinderella (we had all kinds of people tracking us down to tell us how beautiful the dress was), MNSSHP as Cinderella and we had so many people ask where I got the dress becuase thier daughter wanted one. And CM telling me it was the most origional they had seen in ages. And my favorite, and embellished Tshirt and skort.

Those are beautiful! I can't do anything that isn't on photoshop, with lots of ability to erase! :rotfl:

Hi Sally, I'm Tom. I see you on the Disboutique thread too. Glad to see you here! This is a great bunch of folks. I consider them some of my closest friends!:goodvibes
Blizzard warning for us today and tomorrow. Is it Spring yet?

How did you guys fare? I haven't braved the outside yet to see, and we have such drifts that its' hard to tell how much snow we actually got. Yesterday was nuts.... it was so windy (40+ mph while snowing hard) that snow was going in EVERY direction, all the time! :rotfl:

I am surprised to see it isn't snowing right now. I thought it was supposed to be continuous through about 4pm today, but maybe we're getting a little break!

I know the areas around here all started running out of salt, etc. Ick! This better be the last of winter! :sad2:

Enjoy the time with Kyle & drive safely!

Wouldn't you know, we drove just over an hour and couldn't get in to the church. We waited about 20 minutes, nobody showed up. I called the bride, nothing. We drove to the dinner site, thinking maybe they kept that (since it's expensive) but didn't want people driving all over town.... nothing.

Finally, I got a call saying that rehearsal went on as planned. We were at the right church, early even, but saw no sign of life. Fishy..............

I'm looking forward to today being over! :rotfl:

Terra wants to know when we can start her countdown calendar. I told her we need to wait until a little closer than 275 days. :rotfl: I still have to answer the question daily though.

How cute! I admit, I think I've started a countdown that early! I am going through such withdrawal after being spoiled last year that I would CERTAINLY be counting down now if we didn't have a hundred other things happening sooner!

That's how it's been here, too! Earlier this week it was 72 degrees (just a few days ago!), and now we're in a blizzard with 10-15 inches of snow across the whole city (state?). What in the world?!

DH filled out the application for his promotion today, complete with essay questions! Then at dinner he said it might be good that we don't have his return airfare for August yet because he might have to change his schedule if he gets the job.:headache: I want him to have the job, but all of our plans are finished! Good luck to DH with the promotion! I hope it doesn't change your WDW plans too terribly much, though!

Have fun completing the board! I can't wait to see pictures, of that and Alyssa's haircut. I love her explanation of how much she wants off! :goodvibes

Have a wonderful day, despite the yucky weather!
