My grandmother did great in surgery. She came home today after the lumpectomy. They will not do any other treatment. The surgeon feels he got it all, but if not, then this is it. Everyone is very pleased with the decision. If he got it all, then he said it would be 5 to 10 years before it came back. She's 85, so that's not really an issue.
John went to the ENT and saw the doctor (not the PA) today. He scoped his sinuses, really listened to him. He diagnosed him with Ageusia, but it's very hard to find the cause. He put him on steroids as it may be inflamed and irriatated nerve endings. If it is the cause, John should see results within 7 days. If it doesn't help, then they will have to explore other possibilities. Thanks for the prayers.
Denise, I'm thrilled that your grandmother did well, and you are all comfortable with what has been done at this point. I hope the lumpectomy gives her more time, and she stays comfortable!

that the steroids help John.... that would be fantastic!

Are you bored already? The first on is of Lexi. She's alot bigger now. The rest are of Kirsta. My Disney version of the Poodle skirt, Dinner with Cinderella (we had all kinds of people tracking us down to tell us how beautiful the dress was),
MNSSHP as Cinderella and we had so many people ask where I got the dress becuase thier daughter wanted one. And CM telling me it was the most origional they had seen in ages. And my favorite, and embellished Tshirt and skort.
Those are beautiful! I can't do anything that isn't on photoshop, with lots of ability to erase!
Hi Sally, I'm Tom. I see you on the Disboutique thread too. Glad to see you here! This is a great bunch of folks. I consider them some of my closest friends!
Blizzard warning for us today and tomorrow.

Is it Spring yet?
How did you guys fare? I haven't braved the outside yet to see, and we have such drifts that its' hard to tell how much snow we actually got. Yesterday was nuts.... it was so windy (40+ mph while snowing hard) that snow was going in EVERY direction, all the time!
I am surprised to see it isn't snowing right now. I thought it was supposed to be continuous through about 4pm today, but maybe we're getting a little break!
I know the areas around here all started running out of salt, etc. Ick! This better be the last of winter!
Enjoy the time with Kyle & drive safely!
Wouldn't you know, we drove just over an hour and couldn't get in to the church. We waited about 20 minutes, nobody showed up. I called the bride, nothing. We drove to the dinner site, thinking maybe they kept that (since it's expensive) but didn't want people driving all over town.... nothing.
Finally, I got a call saying that rehearsal went on as planned.

We were at the right church, early even, but saw no sign of life. Fishy..............
I'm looking forward to today being over!
Terra wants to know when we can start her countdown calendar. I told her we need to wait until a little closer than 275 days.

I still have to answer the question daily though.
How cute! I admit, I think I've started a countdown that early! I am going through such withdrawal after being spoiled last year that I would CERTAINLY be counting down now if we didn't have a hundred other things happening sooner!
We are having totally weird weather. It was almost 70 today with severe thunderstorms, we were under a tornado warning at 8pm with damage to a few houses. Temp now is 62. But in 2 hours we go under a winter storm watch and snow warning for 3+ inches of snow and a high temp of the low 30's. Where I lived in Mississippi already has 6 inches on the ground, and my grandmother in Alabama has 5 inches. CRAZY!
That's how it's been here, too! Earlier this week it was 72 degrees (just a few days ago!), and now we're in a blizzard with 10-15 inches of snow across the whole city (state?). What in the world?!
DH filled out the application for his promotion today, complete with essay questions! Then at dinner he said it might be good that we don't have his return airfare for August yet because he might have to change his schedule if he gets the job.

I want him to have the job, but all of our plans are finished! I guess if he ends up not staying the full 16 nights I will go back to my original plan and move to Pop with DS after DH goes home.
Good luck to DH with the promotion! I hope it doesn't change your WDW plans too terribly much, though!
Tomorrow is Science Fair Board Completion Day. We went to Staples tonight and Nicholas picked out some bulletin board edging. I showed him your boards, Elizabeth, and he liked the one with the multi-colored edging. Set-up is Tuesday evening, so I want this done tomorrow so I can forget about it. Then I need to do laundry, go grocery shopping and get Alyssa's hair cut. She says she wants enough cut off so people notice and say "Oh, you got your hair cut!".
Have fun completing the board! I can't wait to see pictures, of that and Alyssa's haircut. I love her explanation of how much she wants off!
Although we are not dealing with snow and ice, we are also having some nasty weather. I am glad we went to Boston last weekend and not this one!
All you "snow-y and ice-y" folks be careful. Some of your weather reports look awful. Stay indoors and have a cup of hot chocolate and play board games with your families.
I am off to host the 11th annual Sonata Festival. I will check in with you all tonight. Have great days, everyone.
Have a wonderful day, despite the yucky weather!
