DDA Chapter 4

Tammi - I am glad you had fun last night! :)
Sorry your XH is a horse's behind. I will send mean thoughts his way!

Robyn - sorry Joe is throwing off your groove! And sorry to hear about your great aunt.:guilty:

I just got home from the mall. Macy's had 50% off everything left in the store. I got a pair of SHORTS! :rotfl2: But they are for DS. I got myself a new mini-backpack to carry in the parks. My Adidas one is falling apart. Disney Store has some CUTE T's for $5 each. Kid and adult sizes. :)

I know, and thank you. He is just doing things to push my buttons but in the long run the kids are the ones that will suffer. I'm just so ready for everything to be OVER WITH!!!

Unfortunately it won't truly be overwith until the kids are adults, otherwise you will have to deal with him. I'm sure that he is jealous of your happiness without him. Afterall, he left and you we able to get over him and find someone better :thumbsup2 That's got to sting him.

DH just called. He will be going for a pretty big promotion in the next month or so. If anyone has some spare pixie dust he would appreciate it! His immediate supervisor and the BIG supervisor are both encouraging him to take this step, so I know he will do well. But he is a little worried about biting off more than he can chew. At any rate, if he dosn't make the cut this time he will have some groundwork in place for the next time.:)

I think I may just buy the starter package on bare minerals.com. There is a 30 day guarantee and it comes with all the brushes and instructional DVD. It actually isn't anymore $$ than the Lancome products that I currently use. I think my pale winter complextion just makes me needs some base color and I hate liquids with a passion.

That's what i was going to suggest you buy. I personally feel like you at LEAST have to have the foundation, clear radiance and some "warmth" color (that comes with the kit). Otherwise, in my experience, you look sort of washed out (the foundation coverage is that good!) and I can't seem to find a different brand of color (whether it be bronzer, blush, etc) that blends right with the BE stuff.

Hi all! Sorry that I've been a little MIA. I got busy earlier this week and it's taken me this long to clean up. On Tuesday I managed to finish clearing one set of shelves in the basement then vaccuumed that area to rid all of the dirt, cobwebs, who knows what. Dad came down as I was finishing and proceeded to resecure the sheleves and stabilize the whole unit so now I can actually use it all! That will do a long way to helping me with the next step.

Wednesday I sorted out 3 boxes of craft stuff and put them in the photo boxes I bought almost a year ago for just that purpose. Now Terra can actually use them! She's already made several pictures and puts everything right back when she's done.

Then yesterday was blown by my total lack of sleep the night before. Dad's van sputtered it's last sputter, or maybe more drove it's last inch, at 11:30 Wed night and I had to go pick him up. They bought a new one last week, but he was trying to get some last use out of that van and it's 560,000 miles (in just over 5years) before it's registration expired today. Well, he'd just decided that Wed night was it and he'd take the new van starting yesterday. He pulled in to make his last delivery of the night at UPS and the front axel broke! So, I had to go pick him up, help finish the delivery, empty out the van etc and then a salvage yard went and picked it up yesterday afternoon.

Today I may just do nothing. ;-) Actually, I need to start burning our photos onto DVD lest something happen with the computers again (knock on wood). I've made a list of the 4 main projects I have going or need to get going. Each has been assigned a day of the week that I will work on it and the 5th day will be a "field trip" type of day with Terra. So far this week, it's helped me focus on these projects and I've gotten things done on each of them. Now to just keep it that way.

How productive have you been?! It's nice to see you stop in. i hope you were able to have a bit of a relaxing day today! :goodvibes:

Hi everyone. The concert last night was fabulous.

I've read everything but just don't have the energy to reply to it all. RL issues with the ex are exhausting me.

Here's a :grouphug: and :wizard: for everyone. Know that I am thinking of you all!

:hugs:

Do you use just the foundation products or other items too? I'm trying to put together my wish list :lmao:

Well, my list grows and grows.... if you're just looking for a "wish list" (instead of just the essentials), I can certainly add some suggestions... :rolleyes1

Tia and Amy - Chops turned out good. I liked the sauce so will probably put that on my "shelf of sauces to use on other meats" in the future. There were leftovers, but Bob beat me to them and took them for lunch.

BTW: The new Lemonade's Girl Scout Cookies are TO DIE FOR! :faint:

I agree! They aren't as great as Thin Mints IMO, but I bought a box last year and loved them, so we had to get 2 boxes this year!

Ooh, good luck to your DH! :wizard:

So I broke down and bought Bob's birthday present today.

He currently has satellite installed in his gas guzzler I mean truck, and last year he drove his truck in good weather just to listen to baseball games at work. This way he can use his car (the gas saver) and still get the games. And I love the fact it came with the docking station too - I looked at another set and it would have cost me twice as much to buy the receiver and docking station seperately. Then we can take it camping and he doesn't have an excuse.

Jennifer - I don't like thin mints. Unless they are frozen then they are good with vanilla ice cream.

pixiedust:

Damn more snow. :sad2: Starting tonight at 7:00 pm snowing until 7:00 am, 3 to 5" and of course more up here in the mountains.

I knew someone who had a contact in Jamaica for that sort of stuff. But I don't know where she is anymore.

:stir: I'll try to whip up a hex to put on the ex :stir: That probably won't work, but I'm willing to try for you. Please know that we are here for you if you need to vent

Good thoughts and plenty of pixiedust: :wizard: pixiedust: :wizard:

He's just jealous you got over him & have found a nice guy.

We also just found out that my great aunt passed away this morning. Joe saw her last night- yesterday was her 95th birthday- and said she did not look good at all. I am sad that she died but relieved that she didn't suffer for too long. None of us think that my uncle will last much longer.
I am sorry for your loss.

Congrats! Hope he gets it!:wizard:

Elizabeth,
You should work at the Disney Store! You know all the deals before I do. I did buy one of the $5 tee's for me. I got the red one with the old verison of Mickey. Its a mans shirt so I got a size smaller than I normally would. The woman's shirts are too see- through & flimsy. The cotton is thicker on the men's shirts. I was tempted to get some for my kids but they really have enough tee's & then on top of that all the ones I make for them. I think we have more tee's than you have shorts!

 You're nuts! ;)

They are still pretty much the only sweets that do it for me while pregnant. I devoured our boxes of thin mints, and crave more! :rotfl:

That's the one I bought for DH. I wanted to get him the blue one with Goofy but they didn't have his size. I don't like the women's T's because they fit funny, and they get all crooked after one time in the dryer.

Thanks for the good wishes for DH! I'm not really clear on the timeline, but he told them today that he wants to be considered so I am sure his supervisor will let him know as the deadlines approach.

I used to know a person who had a friend, who knew somebody's brother, who was in touch with someone else............you get the idea :lmao: :lmao:

We have 1 left in Goofy..mans small. I had several people ask me for that one today.

Happy Friday, DDA! :flower3:

Thanks for all the kind words and PD for my dog. It's been a tough week with some ups and downs, but she is doing much better and seems to be on the road to recovery. She's pretty much been in the constant care of either the animal hospital or her new vet all week, but I was able to work from home today so she could have a quiet day of recuperation. Needless to say, she's slept most of the day, but is eating well, taking her meds, and seems to be breathing a bit better. Hopefully this lung infection will leave soon.

And I'm beginning to plot how to get remuneration from the vet that caused this mess. The bills have been a bit  , and I certainly think they should be held responsible. Hopefully, I won't have to resort to using some of my coworkers' legal skills.

I did, however, get an unexpected promotion at work this week, and that certainly couldn't have come at a better time with all this!

I've gotten caught up, and there's so much going on with everyone, that I'm just going to send out a big dose of  :wizard: :grouphug: :cheer2: :thumbsup2 for everyone. I'll try to remain caught-up now that RL has slowed down. Thank goodness the weekend is almost here!
