Thanks for posting this Elin. I am getting ready to head out. I need to swing by and get an oil change and tires checked before the drive (overdue) and then I will get the kids, who are at their dad's. Thankfully he is giving up his days so I can take them. I spent most of yesterday evening on the phone, talking with my mom, arranging today and tomorrow off of work, checking in with friends, etc, so I didn't make it on here. It was easy to FB as I was sitting in Friday rush hour traffic.Tammi and her kids are in PA this morning. Her dad was medivac-ed to the hospital with what they thought was a stroke. Initial tests indicate it wasn't a stroke but may have been an aneurysm. He seemed to be doing fairly well last night, I think.
Some of you already know this because she posted very quickly on facebook, but I thought the others would like to know.
If she posts anything else I will let you all know.

I haven't talked to my mom yet this morning but yesterday I spoke with Dad and he seemed to be doing okay. No slurred speech, CT scan didn't show stroke, and they were to do an MRI last night. They are also going to consult with his cardio drs as he has major heart/blocked artery issues. He was in the hosp a few months ago for stents, or something, and the drs said that if the arteries continue to block that the next thing would be heart surgery.
My mom said she truly thought he was dying right there in front of her. He was sweating, clammy, incoherent. Thank goodness she was home and immediately called 911 and told them she thought he was having a heart attack.
Other than that, that's all I know. I decided to go home, even though things seem to be stable at this point. Who knows what the future holds. I would rather be able to say "I did...." rather than "I wish I would have...."
Have a good weekend and thanks for being there for me.
