I am officially coming out as a DDA...I love having a creative outlet. I'm slowly learning photoshop. With our first WDW vacation coming in a few months, I hope to still keep up designing stuff afterwards for fun.

That is a fabulous idea. I wish I'd seen that before Our trip. I think a pressed penny belt would be cool

I ended up with the blue one. Had to go to 4 Targets before I found one. They all had red & black. I may stilll end up with a red one but I really wanted to blue one and can only afford one right now.

I looked for the blue on at one of our Target stores today, but all they had was red and black, I am glad you got the one you want!

Hello all!

We just finished having cake for Mom's birthday. Terra is so proud of herself because she made the cake on her own while I was cleaning the kitchen and making lunch. She even read the recipe in cursive writing which she was certain that she couldn't do. : Of course, it was an old recipe of my grandma's so I had to explain what "2 cubes Oleo" meant. It was quite a tasty Coke Cake, though, and enjoyed by all!!!

I looked for the blue on at one of our Target stores today, but all they had was red and black, I am glad you got the one you want!

I do think I'm going to end up with a red one and maybe even a black one. This is exactly the kind of purse that I like. It has several different zippers but no flaps to make it easy to get to. It has lots of space but also is compact and light.

I'm kind of being lazy too. I decided yesterday that I couldn't wait over two months for my request for the next book in my series to come in. So, instead, I went and bought Mom a copy of the book (since I already have one in a box somewhere). Now we can both read it (she's almost done with the one before it) and she'll have a copy to keep. Amazing how easy it was to convince myself of this idea! Just figured that one the baby came I'd have problems getting the last 3 books read as quickly and in prep for the new book in the spring so this "made the most sense." LOL!

how is the new computer elin?

It is terrific! It was really bare bones as far as any programs loaded on it, but slowly but surely I am getting things loaded on it. It couldn't have come at a better time. My poor little 4 year old laptop keeps getting slower and slower and slower. Luckily we have a home network set up and I am able to transfer files easily between our computers. Just takes time.

The heat is back! I hope I can get the lawn mowed before I leave for Boston on Thursday morning. I will not mow in 98-100 degree weather. Not worth it to me. My neighbors can if it gets too high before next week!

Abi started band camp this morning....I hope this director is better than my first and second opinion that I have formed of him. But so far it ain't looking good. The heat and humidity are ridiculous.
Abi is almost ready to give up on band altogether.

I am going to stay off my feet as much as I can today as it hurts like the dickens.
