And so do I!!

Happy Birthday from the World

Here is hoping Kristine can hang in there a little longer.

Bernadette... drugs are good but it would be better if you could manage using Motrin and nothing stronger!

Becky - Hoping that the doctor has good news for you

Tia - good luck with finding additional charges!

Jennifer - so sorry for you and your family

Vicki - Mini DDA meets are great!!!

Deb - Have a good time and I can't wait to hear you opinion on the Epic

Hal and I tend to 'save' but I had gone a little overboard getting ready for this trip. You would think I was a hoarder if you had seen the back bedroom two months ago!!!

We're about to have lunch at the coral reef. Hoping for better results then what anne Marie had. The menu doesn't look great, but it's too late for other reservations

Hello, DDA! Today is a "rest" day. We are supposed to be spending a second day at Typhoon Lagoon, but four of us burned there on Monday despite applying and reapplying sunscreen. Miles has a rash guard, so he didn't burn. I think we are going to try to go back from about 5pm-8pm when the sun is a little less intense. We are also trying to get all the laundry done, since we are moving out of here in the morning and won't have a washer/dryer again.

We are having a wonderful time! It's going too fast for me and a bit slowly for everyone else. The crowds and heat are both much more intense than we are used to, but it's Disney World! I think I already told you that we were all less than impressed with Islands of Adventure and Harry Potter World. RPR was very nice, and we enjoyed the pool there. Maybe The Wizarding World of Harry Potter would have been better with fewer people, but honestly, there just wasn't that much there. It was fairly well-done for what it was, but with the mobs of people, you couldn't really look at all the little details. We are very, very glad that we stayed on-site and had the extra hour in the morning as well as the Express Passes for the rest of the rides. We were plenty done by 3:00 pm, though, and don't plan to return for many, many years (if ever).

Our first Disney day was MK from opening to almost closing. That was probably a bit much, but we were having fun! The first MSEP didn't run because of storms. We saw the fireworks (I personally prefer Wishes) but didn't stay around to see if the second MSEP ran. We probably should have sat and had those ice cream sundaes, because it was a mob scene leaving the park. Since we're off-site this week, we had to make our way back to the TTC.

Our second day was at AK. We planned to stay until 7 pm closing and even considered hopping over to DHS for Fantasmic. The sky starting looking ominous around 5:30 pm, though, so we took one last safari and headed out of the park. We barely made it out to the car before the skies opened up. We went to a Chili's for dinner...long wait, but good service and ok food.

Monday we spent the day at Typhoon Lagoon. It was a great morning, but the crowds really built by early afternoon. We planned to spend more time, but at 3:30 we decided not to fight the crowds any more. Also, the sky was darkening quickly. Once again, we were shutting the car doors as the rain came pouring down. We made a Publix stop and got take-out Chinese at a restaurant in the plaza. It wasn't great, but it was a relaxing dinner.

Tuesday was DHS day. We made a beeline to Toy Story Midway Mania. We rode first and then got fastpasses. Then we went over and rode Tower of Terror stand-by. The RnR line was 40 minutes, so we tried the single rider line. I think we may have saved 3 whole minutes. ;) The Toy Story fastpasses were completely gone by 11:00 am. We were thinking about doing Fantasmic that night, but it was standing room only for the 9:00 pm show by 7:45 pm. We didn't want to wait that long, since it's not our favorite of the night time shows. We also wanted to leave before the 10:00 pm show.

Yesterday we were at Epcot. We went on the Behind the Seeds tour and loved it! We did a little bit of Future World and a little bit of World Showcase. We'll definitely be back there several more time. We didn't do IllumiNations, since we were driving out and will have a chance to walk out to the Beach Club later in the week. I wanted to go on Soarin' another time near closing, but the wait was still 75 minutes and no one was up for that.

Tomorrow we check out of here and into the Beach Club. I can't believe a week is done already!

Happy, happy, happy birthday, Elizabeth!

Kristine, I hope you get to go home soon and can keep Jenna in a little bit longer! My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Beth-sounds like you guys are having a great time! Enjoy the BC!

Will you be doing Sum of All Thrills at Innoventions (near Test Track) in Epcot? My kids really loved that design your own roller coaster thing!

I forgot to say a great big THANK YOU to you (and Terry, too, I think) for the Crocs recommendation. My feet have been so much better this trip. I have a couple of sore spots on the tops from the Crocs rubbing, but I can actually walk when I get out of bed in the morning. I wore my Tevas the first day to Universal, and I could barely move that night and the next morning. Since switching to the Crocs, my feet have been so much better.

I think we're going to try Sum of All Thrills if it isn't too crowded. We didn't do much in Innoventions yesterday except the fire game that my kids love. Yesterday went too fast, but I think that's because we spent almost all morning in The Land between Soarin', Living with the Land, and the Behind the Seeds tour. We even at lunch at Sunshine Seasons before leaving. Plus we did more in the World Showcase yesterday than I originally planned.

I am glad that your operation went well, and I hope that the pain stays away now!

Tia -- did I see a post on fb that you are looking for more kids? I hope that works out for you!

Yes, I'm trying at least. Mostly I'm trying to find 2-3 afterschool care for elementary age. My youngest leaves by the time they'd get off the bus, plus it would give Terra some kids her age to play with at least part of the day. I may also try to add one preschool age (3-5ish) as well as they might be a little easier than the 2yo and youngers. We'll see for sure on that one.

Beth - I'm glad you're enjoying your trip! Enjoy BC when you get there.

Bernadette - Glad the pain is continuing to respond to Motrin. Sounds like a much better choice. Yeah for a shower!

Bernadette,
Thought you'd laugh at this...
Daniel & Sophie collected 36 Sum of all Thrills cards. So yes they rode 18 times!!!

So I looked everywhere I in figure I left my camera charger in our room at the BC..wish I could stop by & get it! Anyway I called them & they did not find anything in the room (but I think it fell under the bed between the desk & bed). A new one would cost $50 & my camera was being held together with tape (the battery/sd card cover was broken) so I am going to start looking for a new one.

Bernadette, let me know how you like the new one you got. I just need a point & shoot digital.

My flights are booked for December for our girls trip. Turns out I may be doing most of the kids Christmas shopping while in WDW. Daniel is way into the Beatles now so I was thinking of getting him the Beatles Monopoly set, Beatles shirts, & posters from England. I would hit Trend D for Katie , & Sophie wants anything with Eeyore on it. Hopefully they will still be offering the 20% off merchandise coupons they offered when we were there.

And so do I!!

Thanks for the birthday wishes!! :goodvibes

Kristine may get to go home this afternoon if she hasn't had any additional contractions. Her BP is still on the low side, and they are really having to dose her liberally with insulin, but things look OK otherwise.

Moleskin works great for that!!!

Beth-yeah for relatively happy feet! I wore nice Born leather sandals to dinner at California Grill and they killed my feet. Hoping the reduction in my bunion will increase my footwear options.

Sum of All Thrills is in the other inoventions!:thumbsup2 Guess my kids weren't the only one who liked it. The lines really weren't too bad when we did it but it is slow moving. I guess not too many even know about it.

I do like my Panasonic Lumix but I don't know that I would recommend the exact model I have. It did take some really great photos (maybe I'll get working on those now that I'm feeling better). The lens is really quite nice. BUT...the photos weren't as great with the zoom all they way extended so I would probably go for a cheaper Lumix with a smaller zoom. Unless you want to go for a bigger camera like the Panasonic FZ35.

Congrats on Dec airfare! I have no idea what to do for Christmas. Lizzy could really use a new nintendo as her's doesn't work too well. Not too sure what to do for the others. I have to start thinking about it as I'm thinking I may want to do my other foot around Thanksgiving so I'm all set for next May. At least if I do my other foot I can drive.

Good news!!! Hope Kristine & Jenna continue to do well!

Any birthday dinner/cake plans tonight?

Here's the photo from the DDA meet from my Panasonic. Hunter did a great job taking all the photos.

Beth - sound like you are having a great time so far. Enjoy the Beach Club!

Bernadette - I'm glad to hear you are doing okay with just the Motrin.

Anne Marie - yay for the airfare! I've booked our flight down, as it dropped to $59 but the return is holding at $99. I'm holding off in hopes that it drops too.

Hope the return flight drops. :wizard:

I booked with Southwest for $49 each way. I was going to wait but that price was too good to pass up.

Moleskin works great for that!!!

Thanks! I did try moleskin, but it rubbed up and was all sticky. They are getting to the point that they aren't really sore now, so it's all good.

We did end up at Typhoon Lagoon this evening. It was a fantastic time to go. Dh unfortunately had a cluster headache and didn't go with us. There really isn't much I can do for him during one, so he told us to go and not worry. We had so much fun. I'm hoping this means no headache tonight, so he can get a full night's sleep. They usually come on an hour or two after he goes to sleep and make for a miserable night. He's had one almost every day that we've been here, but we're hoping this cycle ends soon and they stay gone!

AAnother hot day, but no rain. We started at Epcot and ended at HS. Tomorrow we head home. We may hit AK for one last safari. The kids got into the vinylmations this trip. They opened or traded for all the ones that they wanted except one. Maybe we'll find it quickly at AK. Off to bed now

Kristine we're praying for you. Hang in there

Are they in sealed packages so that you don't know what you're getting? If so, I didn't realize that!
