Don't ya just hate waiting? I had bloodwork and a CT scan done Tuesday, more bloodwork and several x rays done Wednesday and I haven't heard anything.

It definitely sounds like antibiotic time for Nick.

Congrats on the Pin Tia!
Hopefully you both get results soon.

I don't understand how the results thing works. I have had several ultrasounds/cat scans since July sometimes I had results next day, others it was a week or more.

Tammi-happy birthday! Hope you had a great night!

Deb-hope you get results soon and that Nick is feeling better.

Debbie-hope you get some answers soon and that those answers can provide some ways to provide with some relief.

Tia-congrats on booking a trip! I would stick with a preferred room if it is just the 3 of you. You could always pick up your park tickets from your package early is you wanted to hit the parks Fri/Sat but the parks might be crazy busy anyways. And if you're staying at AKL you'll want to spend some time hanging out there too.

I've stayed at the cabins and while they are nice I would not recommend them for you with the twins so young. The transportation to the MK would be a pain-you would have to take an internal bus to the boat. It is nice that you can park right at the cabin but do you think you'll be driving to the parks? When I went when the kids were under 1, 3 & 4 and had a double stroller and single stroller I found it to be a real pain to get the kids and strollers on the tram and I had a 3rd adult.

We did POR when the kids were 4, 6, & 8. We were fine in the one room.

Have you considered a wing room at CR? If you could book a standard room there at 40% off it would be $3 cheaper/night than 35% off the cabins.

Yeeeeeeeessssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It started Monday with them kicking off the "new initiative".

They had free coffee and stress balls. It is crazy! They want to increase revenue by 20% in the next 3 years when last year our largest product had a 25% decline. One VP has mentioned several times that in order to truly change the culture of a company you need to loose 1/3 of your workforce. I've been there 19 years. I cannot imagine finding a new job. Many of my coworkers have been there over 30 years but started when they were out of college so they aren't old enough to retire.

When I started a corrupt president had just been kicked out and a mortage payment was due on our building in a few months and we didn't know how we were going to make it. Everyone was on a pay freeze and everyone pulled together and worked hard and now less than 20 years later we (a non profit) have several hundred millions in excess reserves and own 4 office buildings. It isn't like people aren't already working hard. Everyone is really stressed. If any of a few key people choose to leave things will be even worse.

They had a reorg last summer and pretty much demoted this guy. He has done a great job of making the best of the situation but I've heard that they will soon be letting him go. I was told if I needed any information from him I should ask soon. I have to say I find that really disgusting! They should have let him go when they did the reorg. Instead they've used him the past 6 months and are thanking him for his hard work and cooperation by letting him go now. I would imagine when this does happen it will just make moral even worse.

Jennifer-someone just posted on the family suite thread that they were able to book using the 35% off pin.

we would drive to the parks. I dont wont to do the buses with 2 strollers the twins and Virginia who will be 4. Yes I was able to price the family suite. I dont like the idea of the kids in the front room with the door. I will price cont. vs cabins. I told Jeff it would be neat to stay at a monorail hotel.

Olivia is gone to a girl scout cookie rally. We start selling cookies here in about 2 weeks. They have a new cookie this year. It taste like a ginger snap

So Mom, Dad, brother and I booked our airfare for our trip to CA on Thursday. We are flying out the day before Easter will have a few days in southern CA to do things with family or DL. Then we are getting on the Disney Wonder for the LA to Vancouver Repositioning cruise. That goes to San Francisco, Victoria, BC and then Vancouver. We plan to take the train from Vancouver to Seattle and then fly home from Seattle. It is almost $200 per person less to fly from Seattle and that includes the train cost.

Yesterday I got a Save the date for my cousin's wedding in Ecuador in July. She is a missionary there and her fiance is from there. We have talked about going before and I really hope to be able to go. I have the vacation time, everyone else might not.

You can? I didn't know that. That would be nice as I don't really want to wait two long days to hit the parks. Then we could either add a day or two, not have one for departure day depending on flight times or not do parks on MVMCP if we wanted to.

And my car is dead. :sad1::sad1:

The worst part is that I picked it up yesterday paying $300 to replace the radiator hoses and thermostat because it was overheating last week. I drove two blocks to Target, 3 blocks to the gas station and then 1/2 a mile towards home when it died. They towed it back this morning and the timing belt pulley system broke away from the car. $500 to fix the belt and pulley and THEN they can test to see if the interference engine did interfere and bend the pistons and cam shafts, which is highly likely thus equalling a new engine. Used = at least $1200 for the part itself plus labor and whatever else it takes.

Not sure what we're going to do now. Guess we'll be figuring that out this week. :headache:

Congrats on the Pin Tia!

I hope you get your results soon :wizard:

Nick does have a sinus infection so he is on antibiotics for 14 days. We actually saw our own pediatrician today. He pulled up the MRI and results are pending. He was able to view portions of it and he showed us. He is not an expert at reading them, but he didn't see anything nor did we. Hunter's was obvious. He also agreed that if it had been bad we would have heard by now. We're feeling pretty safe, but the official results will seal the deal.

Sounds like you've got some great trips coming up :goodvibes

:wizard::wizard:Not good. Hopefully you can find a new or used one that fits your budget. With all the repairs that you've been making it probably equates to a monthly car payment. You should look into selling the volvo to someone that buys cars for parts. Chris often does that and can get several hundred dollars for it.

That's what I'm hoping to do. I've got fingers crossed that the 3-4 brand new to almost new parts from this year will help that effort as well. Exactly, on the cost though. It's easily a monthly payment on something used and we may see what the tax return brings and go from there. Or if I can estimate the tax return see if I can borrow it from my grandma to get us rolling again faster (no pun intended).

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

Deb - Hoping for continued "no news" on the MRI until you get the all clear!

Tia - I am sorry to hear about your car. That is tough. :(

so is a garden wing garden view at contemporary a standard room?

There is a standard view garden wing room. Garden view is $50 more per night rack rate-$30 more with 40% off.

I never had a problem with the door in the family suite. I knew my kids wouldn't go out on their own plus the latch is relativey high and the door pretty heavy for them to open on their own. Did you know the cabins have an exterior door in the bedroom?

CA/cruise sounds awesome! I've always wanted to go to Seattle too.

:wizard:Hope you can make Ecuador work!

This is from the ticket sticky on the theme park board-created by a guest services CM:
I. Picking up Package Tickets Prior To Start Of Package

In cases where Walt Disney World Resort Guests would like to begin using their Package Tickets prior to the day of check-in (up to three days in advance), the Guests will be directed to visit any Theme Park Guest Relations location and request Early Ticket Pick-Up.

It is only valid for people with packages at a Walt Disney World owned and operated Resort. You can be staying off-property at the time you pick up the tickets. Note that if you have a package which includes Dining, although you can pick up your tickets early you cannot get access to the Dining until you have actually checked in to your Resort.

There is a possibility that if your package and the stay prior to the package are at the same Resort that you will be able to get the tickets at the Resort and not have to go to a Park Guest Relations Office.

And the tickets issued will be valid for the entire stay; they will not receive valid tickets when they actually check-in to their resort. There is a strong possibility that the tickets you have received prior to check-in cannot be added to your KTTW on or after check-in.

And my car is dead. :sad1::sad1:
:wizard:Good luck!!!!:wizard:

Good Morning

Chris and the boys have gone Snowboarding. A friend of ours is ski patrol at a little mountain and his son had asked Nick to go today. They called last night and said they had 4 tickets set aside so I happily offered to stay home :lmao: Can't beat a free day of snowboarding. I'll probably drive over around noon with some hot chocolate and to watch a bit. Otherwise I need to do some cleaning here, but made myself a promise that I wouldn't start another project this weekend. I get too absorbed in them not to mention they always come with a price tag that is higher than I expect.

That is awesome! It makes so much of a difference in my plans for this year and the future.

Sounds great! (for all of you! - I'd love to have the house to myself for the day :cloud9: )

My free day was short lived. Chris called at 11:30 and Colby had had enough. I made hot chocolate and hot coffee and drove over to the mountain. They were happy with their hot drinks and then Colby and I came home. He's really quiet though, playing on the computer. I've got cleaning to do. I created a recipe yesterday that the kids can make and they say it is absolutely delicious (I'm doing weight watchers so I haven't indulged). Anyway, I thought I'd share for those of you with kids.

Easy Calzone
One sheet of the Pillsbury Crescent Seamless Dough Sheet
Shredded pizza cheeses
sandwich pepperoni

Pre heat oven to 375 degrees

place sheet of dough on a cookie sheet
put a layer of shredded cheese up the middle (leave room at ends to close)
put a layer of slicing pepperoni
layer of cheese
layer of pepperoni
layer of cheese
fold long edges up and seal at top
fold end up to seal

Put in oven for 15 minutes
let cool

Yummy, easy pizza bread or calzone or whatever you want to call it.

the kids even ate the ends because they are crescents instead of bread :lmao:

Very yummy, I agree! Terra has a Pooh cookbook and this is similar to the "Piglet's No Haycorn Pizza". She loves making it on her own.

See I would have made it with whole grain bread dough, veggies and some reduced fat ricotta and mozzarella cheese and had some as well.

I just spent a huge portion of the day rebuilding our PS3 which overheated on Friday. It was either $200 for Sony to fix it or $299 for a new one or try the rebuild that I found on youtube. It seems to be working:cool1:

This looks so good! I'm totally going to try it this week! Did you put in any sauce?

My kids don't really care for sauce so we didn't. Typically calzones don't have sauce inside, but may have sauce on the side.
