Good Morning.

Nick has his MRI tonight so I would appreciate any good thoughts that you can send his way :wizard:

You got them! We'll be sending them your way all day.

Tammi - Can't wait to read day 5 later today. The pictures look great!

Day 6 - Epcot

We slept in today, since it was our second day at Epcot and just needed to knock out a few things and it would be a late night. It was a MUCH better day than the first. This one was warm and sunny, with clear blue skies.

It was a dry walk over to the IG and through WS. We stopped for a few pictures on our way to FW.

We stopped for FPs for TT and then went on Ellen's Universe of Energy. The kids opted not to ride MS since there was a considerable wait. Since we had never seen it and we've been trying to do new things, we went over to The Land and watched the Circle of Life thing. We all enjoyed it. We went into Innoventions and the kids played around for awhile before we headed back to WS and lunch at the Fish Shop over in the UK. After we were done we found Alice skipping along so we jumped into her line.

We stopped for Pere Noel, the Christmas storyteller of France.

We waited for Miyuki, and she made a monkey for Alyssa and an eagle for Nicholas.

We watched the drummers in Japan...

P1080476.jpg

....while we waited for the Japanese storyteller, who tells about the Daruma dolls.

P1080481.jpg

The last storytellers that we saw were Sigrid and Julenissen in Norway. Unfortunately we never got to the China and Morocco stories.

P1080485.jpg

The kids wanted to do a Kim Possible mission and since it was such a nice day and we would have some time to kill after dinner, we picked up a FP for a mission in Japan. Now it was time to head to dinner at Restaurant Marrakesh in Morocco. It's been someplace that I've wanted to try, and while it wasn't bad, we probably won't go back. Most of it was good, but I didn't care for the lamb.

P1080491.jpg

We had to wait awhile for the belly dancer to come out, another thing that I thought would be more entertaining than it was. After dinner the kids did the Kim Possible thing, which is much easier late in the day when the sun is lower in the sky since there is no reflection on that Kimmunicator. When they finished we made our way over to the American Gardens Theater and jumped in line for the Candlelight Processional. I gotta admit, I was really anxious to see Trace. :goodvibes He did an amazing job, and I was hoping that he would start singing along at some point, but he didn't. It was outstanding as usual, and again I teared up when the conductor turns toward the audience and invites us to join with the singing of Silent Night. I don't know why but it always moves me. Just beautiful.

We made our way back over to FW and rode TT, which was kinda cool at night. MS was still sporting a long wait, so we went on Spaceship Earth. The kids, to my surprise, didn't want to stay for Illuminations so we went back to the resort and hung out.

Day 7 - Hollywood Studios

I don't think I could ever get tired of waking up to this view.....

We stopped at the Belle Vue Lounge and picked up some cinnamon rolls and oj, and ate as we strolled along the walkway to HS. We got there with plenty of time to spare before park opening.

We were only about maybe 5 rows of people deep from the rope drop at Hollywood and Sunset Blvds. In my head I was trying to plan a better course of action instead of us all hurrying down to TSM and then backtracking up to RNRC. So I proposed to Nicholas and Alyssa an option......they go ride RNRC and I'll go get the FPs for TSM and we'll meet up under the guitar outside of RNRC. They were given explicit instructions of staying together, if I'm not there when they exit to sit and wait, etc etc. I was nervous, excited and melancholy at the same time. It's nice that they are growing up but sad that they aren't babies anymore. :) :guilty: It was a crazy walk/trot to TSM. I was 2 rows back from the CMs that lead they way, and let me tell you, people are PUSHY. I can't imagine what it would be like without the CMs! It never fails that I get behind the person that is getting FPs for what seems like the entire state of Texas! I was watching and her return time started at 9:20 I believe. By the time I got mine, the return time was 10:10. No worries, but I just hate WAITING. So I headed back over to RNRC. No kids were seen, not mine anyway, so I pulled up a brick wall right under the guitar and waited. After a few minutes they exited and told me how they were the 5th and 6th riders of the day, in the very first car of RNRC. How cool! We walked over and rode ToT, then went on TGMR, one of Alyssa's favorites. I didn't take a lot of pictures today, so I can't really remember the order of things. We went into the Animation thing and saw Mickey, no line, saw American Idol, twice, watched the new Camp Rock show and Voyage of the Little Mermaid. We walked through One Man's Dream and watched the movie. It had been years since I saw the Muppet show, and I didn't remember it, other than I thought it was lame, so I decided to give it another try. Yep, still lame. Won't be back there again for a long, long time. Sounds Dangerous was something that we never have done, so we tried that too. Another dud. We used our FPs for TSM. The wait was showing almost 2 hours. Insane. We had a late lunch FDP ADR at Mama Melrose. I know there is differing opinions of this restaurant, but I really like it. It has been several trips since we've seen Fantasmic!, since they stopped running it nightly, but decided it was time to see it again. I think we got to the theater maybe 45 minutes before it started, so the wait wasn't too bad, but we had the special seating. I have no idea how the standby wait was.

After Fantasmic we walked through the Osborne Lights, and immediately found the purple cat. That made the rest of the walk rather anticlimatic. My pictures aren't very good.

We walked back and strolled along the boardwalk for a while. Alyssa, again, got picked to help the magician with his magic card trick.

The rest of the night was spent sitting on our balcony, taking in the views.

I discovered something regarding the AI experience, which I don't like. Two of the contestants that were in the show we watched were way beyond the upper age limit, of which is 28 I believe. Now, if they give the winner of the day the "golden ticket", the front of the line "fastpass" to any true American Idol audition, why are they letting people potentially win this that can't even use the ticket? Inquiring minds want to know, so I asked a CM after we exited. It turns out that if you win the golden ticket at HS you can transfer it one time, to someone who is eligible to be a contestant. I don't like this, as this one girl, a teenager, was competing against someone who couldn't even use the ticket. I just feel that it is unfair to someone who truly wants to win. JMO. So I voted for her, even though she wasn't as good as the 2 older ladies. She didn't win. The winner of the day, and the golden ticket, was the much older lady from the first show that we watched. Oh well....

The cabins are nice. There is plenty of room for your family, full kitchen with dishwasher. There is bus transportation around the campground and to the parks. If you have your car you can easily drive everywhere. You'll also enjoy the campfire program with Chip and Dale nightly. There are scheduled activities at the campground too :thumbsup2

hmm that is a good selling point the kitchen,

What an absolutely fantastic view!!!
It was really nice. We were right above the Big River Grille. I thought all the noise from the games and such would be a little too much, but surprisingly it was rather relaxing. I would sit out there reading, or talking on the phone, in the mornings/afternoons/evenings, just soaking up the atmosphere.

Hello, DDA! I'm sorry to be MIA so much. The holidays were delightful, very busy, and passed much, much too quickly. It seems that I'm always running somewhere or trying to get something done.

We getting started on a major bathroom remodel...all the way down to the studs and back up again. We've decided to pay a contractor to do it. Too much of it is outside what we are comfortable with, plus we just don't have the time to devote to it that we'd need. Right now we're still in the picking out and acquiring everything we'll need stage. It is overwhelming! I wish that it could just be done with the wave of a wand.

Tammi, I have been enjoying your trip report! I want to go back so badly, but I honestly can't see that happening in the next few years. Besides the remodeling costs, we'll have two in college for the next two years.

Deb, I'll definitely keep Nick in my thoughts and prayers. I hope that everything is clear!

Mom and I are in the waiting room. Chris went in with him. We won't know anything until tomorrow. Hopefully it won't be an early call as that's when they make the bad news calls

the girls had their 2 week check ups today. Julia is back up to her birth weight. Sabrina has actually lost weight. So we go back Mon. for a weight check. The tooth Fairy is coming tonight for Olivia.

We have been in that location before too. The view is really lovely and we didn't find it to be noisy either! I am enjoying your TR, by the way.

oh, and I almost forgot... Your new "family members" and I just wanted to say:

I am hoping for no early morning call at Deb's house too.

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

This has been the L O N G E S T week, hasn't it?!?!?

Happy birthday, Tammi!

Yes, Elin, it has been incredibly LONG!

Deb - Any news? I'm hoping you won't hear until later today, though!!!

It's so cold here this morning! We're supposed to get up to 30 degrees, though, so that will feel a bit warmer than it has been since Christmas! I get to go bowling this morning, and because Alan is on call, I have to take Timothy with me. Cross your fingers that they'll let him back in the daycare, and cross your fingers that he'll go without a fuss. I really don't need him throwing up there again!
