Tammi-happy birthday! Hope you had a great night!
Deb-hope you get results soon and that Nick is feeling better.
Debbie-hope you get some answers soon and that those answers can provide some ways to provide with some relief.
Tia-congrats on booking a trip! I would stick with a preferred room if it is just the 3 of you. You could always pick up your park tickets from your package early is you wanted to hit the parks Fri/Sat but the parks might be crazy busy anyways. And if you're staying at AKL you'll want to spend some time hanging out there too.
trying to decide if we should do the cabins, family suite or riverside got a pin for 35% off moderate or value rooms
I've stayed at the cabins and while they are nice I would not recommend them for you with the twins so young. The transportation to the MK would be a pain-you would have to take an internal bus to the boat. It is nice that you can park right at the cabin but do you think you'll be driving to the parks? When I went when the kids were under 1, 3 & 4 and had a double stroller and single stroller I found it to be a real pain to get the kids and strollers on the tram and I had a 3rd adult.
we are driving. just re read the email and cant use the discount on suites. So it will probably be riverside. Of course it is 40% off deluxe. hmm
We did POR when the kids were 4, 6, & 8. We were fine in the one room.
Have you considered a wing room at CR? If you could book a standard room there at 40% off it would be $3 cheaper/night than 35% off the cabins.
Good morning, DDA!
This has been the L O N G E S T week, hasn't it?!?!?
Yeeeeeeeessssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It started Monday with them kicking off the "new initiative".
They had free coffee and stress balls. It is crazy! They want to increase revenue by 20% in the next 3 years when last year our largest product had a 25% decline. One VP has mentioned several times that in order to truly change the culture of a company you need to loose 1/3 of your workforce. I've been there 19 years. I cannot imagine finding a new job. Many of my coworkers have been there over 30 years but started when they were out of college so they aren't old enough to retire.
When I started a corrupt president had just been kicked out and a mortage payment was due on our building in a few months and we didn't know how we were going to make it. Everyone was on a pay freeze and everyone pulled together and worked hard and now less than 20 years later we (a non profit) have several hundred millions in excess reserves and own 4 office buildings. It isn't like people aren't already working hard. Everyone is really stressed. If any of a few key people choose to leave things will be even worse.
They had a reorg last summer and pretty much demoted this guy. He has done a great job of making the best of the situation but I've heard that they will soon be letting him go. I was told if I needed any information from him I should ask soon. I have to say I find that really disgusting! They should have let him go when they did the reorg. Instead they've used him the past 6 months and are thanking him for his hard work and cooperation by letting him go now. I would imagine when this does happen it will just make moral even worse.
