Theresa, good thoughts for your sister and BIL.

Tammi, just another day in DISD where they like to force square pegs into round holes and call it successful. :rolleyes1

Morning! We had quite a snowstorm here yesterday (although nothing like most of you have been getting!). We ended up with 5 new inches of snow in our yard. Even my kids are tired of the white stuff.

Tonight is our scouts Blue and Gold banquet, which I'm helping organize. I'll be so glad when it's over!!! Then, I get a month off scouts, sort of. My assistant den leader is taking over the meetings for the month, so all I have to do is show up and referee! No planning for me until April!

I spent most of the day studying yesterday, and I actually feel a little better about it! I'm taking the chapter review today, and I'm a bit nervous, as it's covering 100 pages of material! I think I'm ready though. We'll see. I've got to finish the workbook assignment and listen to 2 lectures on the web, and then I can take the chapter exam. Hopefully that will happen tomorrow so I can start the next module on Saturday! At that point I'll be halfway through the class, and will have to kick it into high gear to finish by April 1. I'll probably be MIA a lot until then, so I hope you will all forgive me for dropping off the earth!

The district closed half day and cancelled conferences so I am home and waiting to see what this storm is going to do!

Good afternoon, DDA! :sunny:

It seems like an old PA Dutch saying of my mother's is perfect for this week: "The hurrier I go the behinder I get!" I hope I catch up to myself soon. Hugs to all of you!! :grouphug:

We're off to Open House at Thug High tonight. :sad2:
The one private school that would be a good fit for DS is $24,500 per year, NOT including textbooks. Great. No wonder it would be a good fit.

The wind is blowing and it is pouring. Some people haven't had power in 2 days and there is no doubt that more outages are coming. Lots of flooding. I can't imagine that there will be school tomorrow :sad2: So much for the snow. It will all be gone by the time the rain ends on Tuesday. Temps are dropping into the low 30s at night to boot.

The wind is just howling. They just said on the news to bring in your trash cans. I went and rescued mine as it rolled down the driveway. All of my beautiful trees are bending. I hope they don't break and crash into my house. What a storm

Well we are snowed in. John had trouble getting the door open and he got stuck twice trying to go to work, so he came home. It is drifting shut as fast as they are trying to plow it open.

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

I hope those of you facing the new round of storms are safe and sound.

I was up twice today. The first time was the normal time I got up and found out we were delayed and opening at 10:30am. So I went back to bed. Then I got up again this time getting ready for work. I was just about to leave and my supervisor called me and said we are closed for the day.

I was hoping they would as the major highways are on reduced speed and there are lots of accidents and places keep drifting shut but nothing like waiting till the last minute.

I hope you all stay safe today.
