DDA Chapter 24

Sophie had a great time ice skating. She really tried to go it alone as much as she could. Her new friends from school are so cute too. I am glad she has settled in with some nice girls. The parents of the birthday girl were also very nice.

You know how Elizabeth hates to be wet? Well I HATE to be cold!

The skating rink was freezing! I was prepared with layers on me & Sophie but jeez, I was cold! No wonder I do no ice skate or ski.

Hello All

We've been busy around here today. Chris worked on getting more wood (is there ever enough?) for several hours today. I put up some more Christmas decorations inside. I also had to change some cords around outside as some outlets were heating up. My cousin came down and cut our hair. She even highlighted mine. I look like a new woman (too bad I don't feel like one). After she left I went to Kohl's to use my Kohls cash and did some grocery shopping. I bought all of Hunter's favorites. Tonight is the finale of the Amazing Race.

Any updates from Elizabeth?

We had about 6 inches of snow yesterday. Some of it melted. They are calling for more Tuesday and Wednesday. I am not going to be able to stand it if our whole winter is like this. I need to move to Florida sooner rather then later.

I helped at a gingerbread house making party for kids today. Then my brother came to visit for a bit. I also got Christmas decorations and the tree down, so I have to work on that.

We just got home a little while ago, I found a package from Deb at the doorstep. Thank you so much for the adorable ornaments Deb, I love them and the hand made one is great!

Here are some pictures from the party today. Needless to say, it was a big hit with the kids. We invited 4 boys and 1 girl, and she really gave the boys a run for their money!

We had a whirlwind weekend, Friday we arrived and headed straight to AK, it was raining and continued all day. We spent the evening at the Christmas party, it rained all evening with a few small breaks, the second parade was cancelled but we were able to see the first one. Thanks to the rain the crowds wer really low and we didn't wait for anything, which worked well for us because our daughter and her boyfriend were with us, they don't get to go often so this enable them to do everything they wanted to do in two parks.

Saturday we started off at Studios, got our FP for TSM and rode TOT and RNR. The kids left and went over to Epcot, Richie and I stayed at Studios to have lunch with the DDA group, I have tosay I had a wonderful time meeting everyone, I wish that we could get together more often.

They did locate Elizabeth's bag, turned out ME had it.

I'll post a few pictures later, but right now I have some wet laundry that has to be dealt with right away.

Here are a few of the ornaments that I we made for our tree. The ones for the exchange were slightly different, some decorated with beads. The adult gifts also had mickey head wine glass charms.

Maybe someone could post the wine charms.
