Beth - I hope you're feeling better soon! Thanks for the congrats! :goodvibes

Good Morning All-

Today was the first day all week that there has been any jobs to apply to. It is for a foundation that I read about last year and said "I want to work for them" and viola! there is an ad for a programs assistant. :goodvibes

I am still deep in a funk but at least I recognize where I am and am trying to rectify it.

Off to do the news for TMFL!

Lots of   :wizard: :wizard: for you, and for the job! That sounds like a great sign. :goodvibes

I was considering hitting a tanning bed since I'll be in swimwear daily. does the spray tan work? What kind to you use?

Deb, I've used the Jergens brand, and have heard good things about the Loreal that Tammi posted. Probably the one I've had the best experience with (and it seems to show more at first than the others) is done by Bare Minerals. It's not cheap, but you can usually catch a big bottle on sale from QVC a few times a year, and it really works and lasts a while. I like it because it's a dark lotion, so you can really see where you've applied it, spread it evenly, etc. I do find that I have to use plastic gloves when applying it, unlike the Jergens.

I passed my drug test (there was no doubt, but I had to got through the process). Nick is not feeling well. His ear is still bothering him and sudafed hasn't cleared it. He said that the didn't sleep much last night and he is UGLY today. Of course he isn't ready to go to the doctors yet. I did find the numbing drops that Hunter had for his ear infection in October. Either it will clear on its own or we'll have to run him to the doctors this weekend. Riley seems to be eating better today. He ate some during the night and he's been drinking again. He even asked for his milk this morning. He's not out of the woods by any means, but at least he won't be starving to death.

:wizard: that the drops help Nick! I'm glad to hear Riley is eating.

I'll have to get some this weekend.

I ordered a couple of pair of lifeguard board shorts as well as a swimsuit for me and one for Hunter on speedo.com. Thankfully they were having a really good sale. I didn't think I'd get the order until late next week, but UPS is showing delivery tomorrow which will be perfect. I cannot tell you how much I was dreading wearing the Uniform bathingsuit without some sort of added coverage. I will never have a body that would look good in that uniform.

That's great timing!

Deb- Yay for passing your "Whiz Quiz" So glad the shorts will arrive tomorrow for you.

:rotfl: :rotfl:

Elise has pneumonia :(

The good news is, though, we caught it fairly early I think. She's been sick as I mentioned for about 12 days now, and we were going to start antibiotics at the 14 day mark (studies show even if its viral to cover with abs after ..... blah blah blah. you don't care ;) )

Anyway, today she is SIIIICK. Crying out all day, hot as crap (after her Tylenol kicked in her fever was 102), the cough subsided.... that scares me. When coughs subside, you're either better or you have pneumonia. These were the exact words I told my mom on the phone, except I added "in adults". Apparently, the same is true with children.

My poor girl was stuck half a dozen times for blood, etc and had a bunch of xrays.... all on a crappy day anyway. Boo! :(

I thought you all would want an update. Hopefully it's bacterial and she'll start feeling better with medicines.

Poor thing - but at least you know what you're dealing with now. Boatloads of :wizard: :wizard: that the meds really begin working for her. And lots of   to you!

:wave2: Chanon!

Lindsay's excuse for being MIA was pregnancy. What's yours? ;) ;)

What did you decide for dinner Janet? Bob had to go to choir tonight, so we are having barbeque chicken tomorrow night. Tonight was just PB&J's.

Yes, Chanon - anything to share? :rolleyes1

What's funny is that I think Tammi and Heidi made comments about me needing to find a reason to stay at home before ANYONE (including me) knew I was pregnant!

Funny! Bob and I have been planning our vacation in March (not as exciting as Disney, but still fun!) and then we've been having the "what to do with our tax refund" talks. :headache: I'm hoping we can redecorate some of our house this summer! I'll have to post some pics of what we are thinking about doing...one room used to be an office and the wall is covered with 1/4 inch cork. I swear they cemented it to the wall...

Bernadette - I've been meaning to post about camera lenses...

You should look and see if you have a camera shop near you that will rent lenses! DH was looking at those super expensive telephoto lenses a few years ago, and the prices are just insane. Then, he found a place right down the road from us that will rent the same lenses out for a day, week, etc. Instead of dropping thousands of dollars (I think the retail for the one he gets is $8,000 :scared1: ) on a lens he wouldn't use that much, he just rents it before we go to Kauai, if he's going to be taking any sports pics, etc. I think he normally pays a little over $150 for a week's worth. Just an idea.

Also, I'm sure you know this, but watch out for the weight of these lenses! Not just the huge telefoto ones, but just good "glass" in general. Jonathan has a wide-angle lens that I think easily weighs 5 lbs. on his own. When he has all the lenses he owns plus his base in his bag, that thing easily weighs close to 50 lbs. He will tell you it gets mighty old carrying that much weight in the parks!

Well, that does sound fun, too. ;)

What all are you guys going to be doing, besides watching spring training?

You could decorate a nursery. :rolleyes1

Gary made breakfast for us(he wanted me to be sure & tell you that lol). We had french toast, eggs, & bacon.

I did! I remember that!

I like your new ticker. :goodvibes:

Look forward to seeing your redecorating ideas!

My legs are glowingly white, but they are never uncovered. (Except at TL and I just try not to think about it or I'd never, ever be in a swim suit.) On the bright side, my legs are almost hairless so I very rarely have to shave.

I am the same way. Counselors at Girl Scout camp were disgusted when I'd tell them I hadn't shaved in 6 months and they couldn't see any hair on my legs.

Well, that does sound fun, too. ;)

We have 2 nights planned near the Grand Canyon...drive through Sedona...stop at Montazuma's Castle...three baseball games...one free day that I'm hoping we can go to the zoo...dinner at Margaritaville...dinner at a place called Rawhide...that's about it. :teeth:

I like your new ticker too! Are you still dreaming of Disney around Christmastime though? ;) Or are you gonna bank points and go next winter?

Poor little peanut! I hope she gets to feeling better now that you know what is wrong. :grouphug:
