That stinks.

Katie & Daniel have a habit of doing that too.:sad2:

I just got off the phone with the guidance counselor. We have a meeting on 10/21. Sh said they will discuss whether or not he still needs modifications. Hello? He STILL HAS ADD! Yes, we medicate him to minimize he issues but he still qualifies for services because of his diagnosis! So I am not very happy about that. She says ALL 7th graders have the problem of not turning in completed work. :sad2:

morning....

this weekend we had 80 degree weather...now we are back to the 60's. It was nice while it lasted. 1/2 day for the kids today....and then off for flu shots & eye doctor. So far only mild complaining. I am making Bill come with to share in the fun!

I am not a fan of the eye doctor. We don't do that again until late January.
I had a dream about you last night, Kristine. I went to visit you and Bill. :)

Deb, hope the end is in sight for you sickness. :wizard:

Feel better, Deb! :wizard:

My waitlist came through for December! It's all booked on points! :woohoo:

That's terrific!

Elizabeth, cake expert, any suggestions as to what kind of cake to order from the Grand Floridian bakery for Nicholas?

Kristine - I know you've ordered cakes too. What are your thoughts?

I copied Kristine's cake. It was divine. My cake was a 10" white cake, strawberries & custard filling, WHIPPED CREAM frosting, garnished with white chocolate shavings and fresh strawberries. I can't stand buttercream frosting, so that was a really important detail. I hear the chocolate marble cakes are pretty good if he likes chocolate. I think I have the direct line for Linda at the GF bakery at home if you need it.

Real quick pop in but I had to share....

Eric and the boys' grandma talked on the way home today. Her thoughts...why aren't there more rides like at Hershey Park? (you would have known that had you 1) asked me or 2) actually did research. Should have waited til the boys were older~ say 5 and 6. Ty was fine the first 3 days and then was a tired, cranky, whining mess~ why, no naps or rest time!! Do you know why they went, because Molly went and Ty told Grandma that he should go to. Molly went to WDW so Ty should go to WDW. Molly has a big kid bike so Ty got a big kid bike. Molly has a Wii so Ty is getting a Wii for Christmas.

Oh, and the funniest, Jake got kicked out of Turtle Talk. He kicked the lady in front of him and bit the guy next to him. He's 2!!

Be back later. Lucy is up from her nap.

Can I just tell you how FURIOUS I would be if a stranger's kid BIT me? OMG! I wouldn't have been pleased to be kicked, and I probably would have said something about that. Biting totally crosses the line. Of course there is no way I would let a strange kid get close enough to put his mouth on me, either. I would have grabbed him by the shoulders and shoved him back over into his own space before biting became an option. Is he a "biter" in general? :scared:

Hmmmm..now that we have narrowed down the county we will be living in, I happened to check the school schedule.:rolleyes1 You know just out of curiousity!;)

I have my mind set on being in WDW somewhere around 8/9-8/20. Dana has a regional meeting sometime in August so we may have to move that around but that is the plan for now.

We're going the 7-16! See you there! :cool1:

Well, the State Fair was the same as it is every year. But of course today it is RAINING, so this year was less fun. DS didn't go on any of the rides (those Fair rides are just scary, not to mention the rain factor). We didn't even eat any strange fried foods! We had breakfast at IHOP so we weren't really hungry. I think if we could have paid cash for food we would have gotten some snacks, but the whole process of buying those "tickets" to pay for stuff is a huge pain. I had snacks for Princess in her bag, and I brought some bottles of water in with us so that was fine. Princess LOVED the petting zoo! There was even a baby giraffe in there! We got a huge cup of "feed" for $5 so DS and Princess went around and fed all sorts of critters.

How did the kid get close enough to bite someone??? Sorry but I would have demanded to be taken to get a tetnus shot!!!! I really love little kids, but that is just a little too much.

Thanks, Deb. That's a good idea. But isn't it kinda far from where the campfire is to where we get the carriage?

It's not that far. We usually walk from the 100 loop to the campfire. Maybe a 10 minute walk. They do have internal busses that you can catch :thumbsup2

Hi everyone,

Has anyone heard from Bernadette lately?

Sorry to hear so many are under the weather.

Tammi congratulations on your last day coming through :cool1:

Anne Marie if things go as planned we will be there during the same time next year!

Elizabeth sorry the fair was a washout today :umbrella:

Robyn the child bite someone :scared1:

Stephanie I would love to plan another October meet :yay:

Debbie - I was just thinking about Bernadette. I have not heard from her lately.

Janet - Yep, the Fair was soggy but at least we didn't pay $14 each to get in!

DS will be off Oct. 9 next year, but I don't think we could do Aug, Oct, and Dec. I am really trying to talk my bosses into going next December, so we'll see how that shapes up.

Welcome home, Chanon! I like pictures. Pictures are almost as good as cake! ;)

I just left Lindsay a voice mail so hopefully we will hear back from her soon! :)

Pictures of cake are good too! :teeth:

Ok, and that doll thing is something that apparently I've had on every "major" cake since I was a child - from baptism to graduation to first birthdays... but I don't remember it. :confused3 So it was more for mom.

So when are we planning the DDA October 2009 trip???

I really like that first full week in October. October 4th through whatever. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

What about all of you???:cloud9:

That would be work for us. We want to attend the F&WF next year. We aren't going to make it this year as the flight went up for the last week-end that we were looking at. They are still low for my birthday week-end but I'm not sure whether we'll go or not.

Also I should be done uploading pics to Webshots in a few minutes. That will be from the honeymoon. So give me until 7pm before you guys look at those.

Chanon- Hi!!!

Elizabeth- I'm glad you got a meeting scheduled. That cake sounds soooooo good. Glad everyone enjoyed the fair.

Anne Marie- Did you enjoy lunch?

Tammi- :yay: for the waitlist clearing!!

Deb-:wizard: to get better.

Kristine- Hope the dr visits weren't too traumatic.

I didn't get any other details on the biting incident so I'm not sure what actually brought it on. He hasn't bit here so it's odd. Of course, he's not allowed to do half the stuff here that I am sure he gets away with at home. Right before they left, he had 3 days where he'd walk up to Blackie and hit him. Thankfully, all Blackie did was growl at him but Blackie would be the one to bite if he felt threatened enough. I kept telling his parents that he was doing it and the mom said "well he likes to torture their cat" And you all continue to let him. The grandma told Eric that it would probably take Blackie to bite him to teach him a lesson. Oh yeah, great let my dog bite him so then you sue me!! Nope, it's not something I'll let him continue. He hasn't done it again so that's good.

I gotta scoot. PTA meeting at Em's school and then I need to hit the store for a few last minute things.
