I'm debating whether I should try to book a character meal while we are at OKW. I was thinking perhaps something for breakfast on Sunday before we head to Vero Beach. The practical side says to save the money, but the WDW loving side says to catch a couple of characters :confused3 We would have to do a non park meal. Decisions...Decisions

The Cape May breakfast has now added Donald... :rolleyes1

Jennifer how are you & the girls feeling?

okay my allergies are driving me crazy. cough, runny nose, congestion. Virginia still has an ocasional cough. Both girls get their flu vaccine next wed. I need to call Employee health today and find out when work is giving us ours.

I have ham & beans in the crockpot. Usually I make cornbread, but I still do not have my oven. Any suggestions :confused3 I don't know of anyplace that sells cornbread already made lol

You have your microwave, right? I bet you could find a cornbread recipe for the microwave!

Here's one!

MICROWAVE CORN BREAD

1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. corn meal
1/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1 egg, beaten

Combine dry ingredients. Stir in milk, oil and egg and mix just until dry ingredients are moistened. Pour batter into ungreased 9 inch pie plate or round microwaveable cake pan. Microwave at HIGH 5-6 minutes, or until surface appears dry, rotating pan after 23 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

Hi friends!!

We went house hunting in NC this weekend. Looked at the suburbs of Raleigh & were very happy with what we saw. So at least I feel more settled about that. We found 2 homes we liked alot but we have alot to digest as we saw 20 homes in 2 days in 2 towns (Cary & Chapel Hill).

We were in CH the day of the Tarheals/Notre Dame game so that was fun to see all the college spirit & sea of light blue shirts.

So things are moving along & I am not stressing (AS MUCH!:rotfl: )

We had a B%$#@ of a trip home on I 95. I got a ticket in VA for passing a slow car. :sad1: I had been the speed limit & passed this car was going under the speed limit & bang I got nailed! I think I was over the speed limit for 20 seconds....:sad2:

Then some jerk in a little sports car who was going to fast lost control of his car & had a huge spin out in the middle lane almost hitting us..I slammed on the breaks to keep away from him but we were about a foot away from wach other....

The traffic to get back into NY was CRAZY!!!!!!!!!! I laughed when our realtor told us they had alot of traffic in CH due to the football game...Hey you don't know traffic until you cross a bridge back into NYC!!! :lmao: :rotfl2:

Well anyway it was a very productive trip.

Hope everyone is doing good.

Sounds like a very productive trip, Anne Marie. The traffic on 95 starting about here in F'burg on a weekend is a B%$#@ I agree. I am sorry yougot a ticket. :sad2:

Chapel Hill and Cary are good choices! I just know the perfect house with the perfect schools is there for you. :thumbsup2

So, Deb.... are you on hold with WDW Dining? ;)

wow thanks Elin I love corn bread but hate using my oven espically in the summer. I will have to try this.

I called WDW Dining and got Raglan Road one everning for dinner and Tusker House one day for a late lunch. These are for just Bob and me. I think when the girls get there we have plenty of ADRs.

I have great fears that they will not arrive in time for our 8:45 Christmas Eve dinner reservation. It is nothing special... just Cape May because it was the latest ADR I could get. I think unless they can both get nonstop flights their experience is going to be worse than ours was on this last trip. I have to think of something that Bob and I can go out and purchase to have in the room at POFQ for dinner that night just in case.

I was thinking cheese and fruit and some good sausages and other meats as well as some great breads and hummus. Stuff like that. Anyone else have any ideas?

You are welcome, Jennifer! I Googled "microwave cornbread" and about 50 recipes came up. This one looked very traditional.

Cape May has added Donald to the character line up, I love breakfast here!

I was considering this one.

That would be so up Colby's Ally

That is so true.

Sorry about the ticket, but it sounds like the rest of the weekend went well. I hope you can decide on a house and get it at a reasonable price :wizard:

Get yourself to the doctors. It seems like we are sharing it :scared:

Nope, still resisting at this point :rotfl: :rotfl:

Probably so. I think we will bring wine from our rack here at home. I have been collecting some nice ones that I want to introduce to Kathrin so this would be the perfect opportunity!

At Raglan Road and Tusker House we will be drinking beer!
