Elin,
I love your new siggie. I guess you decided on POFQ.:) I have been fly by posting lately so I haven't had a chance to catch up properly.

Thanks, Anne Marie. I figure you are pretty busy. How is the upcoming move going? Are you still working??

We have "potential buyers" coming to the house tomorrow. So I am cleaning & tidying like mad today. I am such a nervous wreck about this whole thing. When we bought our first house we were renting so there was no home to sell first..all of this is new to me. This might be easier if I didn't like my little house & where I love now I guess.:confused3

Elin,
I just wanted to mention that I remember what you said that morning over breakfast about how many times you moved & how well you & your kids did. Those words give me a very positive look at this new adventure of ours. .:flower3:

Yep still working...I did tell my store manager about the move so she would not be caught off guard since the holidays are coming up...I am not formally giving in my 2 weeks until I have too. The Disney store in Raleigh looks like its too far from the area we are looking at to work at.

Does his company have any relocation package? Will they cover expenses if your house doesn't sell before you move?

I am glad it has helped you get through all the junk associated with this move, Anne Marie. :goodvibes

I hope your potential buyers end up being the real deal and you can move on with this next part of your adventure called life! :thumbsup2

I survived our cooking class. Princess was VERY shy but I think she enjoyed it. They made pasta, bread sticks, meatballs, and decorated cookies. I had to touch raw meat. :scared: Let's hope that isn't a weekly thing.

Now we have the issue of Princess being too full for lunch but not consuming enough in class to really "count" as a meal. She ate two small meatballs, 2 bites of pasta, about half of a breadstick, and over half of a pretty big frosted cookie. This is going to throw off her groove for the rest of the day as far as meals. Oh, and the kids only make enough for each child to have a small portion so I have to figure out what I am going to have for lunch.

DH has been having a LOT of problems with his knee. So he decided the smart thing to do would be to pull an extra shift tomorrow. Bonehead.

I guess the meeting this morning SHOULD make me happy. DS compensates for the ADD well enough that it isn't impacting his performance in the classroom. BUT now if there is a problem he will be treated exactly like a kid who DOESN'T have ADD and that is my issue. He does have ADD and in some circumstances that needs to be considered. I guess we'll see how it goes, and if I have problems I will go back to the counselors and tell them he needs to have the 504 reinstated. There is also the issue of having him re-tested, which would need to be done when he is NOT on meds. I told them I do not really want to pay for testing AGAIN. They said the district will test him (which I knew, I just wanted to see what they would say) IF it looks like he needs to have the 504 reinstated.

So would one of our designers who is still designing care to tackle a request for me? I would like something to give to Bob and my dad for their Segway tour. Not quite an invitation, more like an announcement, that it's their Christmas present, something Segway-y and Christmas-y. Clear as mud, huh? The date of their tour is Dec. 3 at 7:45AM.

We are back from the doctor. Nicholas has strep, so we stopped and got his meds then picked up Empire Strikes Back at the video store, along with a Wii game rental. He's into this Star Wars kick for some reason. Now I have to disinfect the house.

Elizabeth - Sorry the meeting with the couselor didn't go as well as you had hoped. :wizard: that things work out.

For those of you that have PM'd me: it has been done and I'll be getting back to you once I figure everything out. Thanks!

Strep is no fun. I hope he feels better soon!! :wizard:

Anne Marie - I hope you guys get an offer on the house! :wizard: GrandmomBoss asked me about you the other day. :) I moved A LOT when I was growing up, and I always adjusted to the new school and town just fine. The only move that threw me for a loop was moving the summer between my freshman and sophomore year of high school. That was bad.

What??? You didn't like my anti-terrorist photo to make them each a T-shirt?? :confused3

Yes, his company offers a buyout but at a lesser price than we can (hopefully) sell for so there is incentive to sell on our own.

Thanks! I am sure the kids will be fine. They seem super cool with it, it's just me thats nervous. Katie is excited she gets her own closet!!! :rotfl:

Back to work for me. See you all late tonight! Enjoy your afternoons and dinner with your families. :)

Tammi, hope Nicholas feels better soon and that you and Alyssa don't get it. :wizard:

I know we are all hating this political season but I thought I'd tell you all why I like it:

My girls are able to articulate why they like one candidate over another intelligently and have developed their own sense of what they believe politically. Cassidy moreso than Abi but she is also closer to being able to vote.

Ive really liked having these few hours off this afternoon, but i am completely dreading going back tonight for conferences..too bad its not friday :)
